AW,Adam. When you talked about not having many friends as an adolescent and having no one to sit with during lunch just broke my heart. No child should have to grow up this way. I admire you for all you are and I bet everyone of those kids in your school days regret not being your freind now.
Keep on keeping on because I love EVERYTHING about YOU!! Adele

I remember simon saying that 'over indulging rubbish' when Adam sang ring of Fire. But looking back it's one of the best performance on idol ever!

@Anon 10AM - I totally agree with you about Ring Of Fire AND eventually sung at the Grand Old Oprey House!haha Take that Randy Travis and Simon Cowell!
Love you so much Adam!!!!!!!!

I love love listening to ADAM whether singing or just talking.
He lights up everything even a listener's dull mundane life.
He's a million megawatt persona and when he takes the stage, he's high voltage electrifying!

Just read that Urban and Minaj have not officially signed yet for Idol and Randy may act as a mentor. No mention, however, of Adam's name in the mix. I would love to see him on the panel as the voice of someone who has been there as a contestant and one who knows so much about the music business. And he actually can sing with auto-tuning or lip synching. Love these interviews because as always Adam is candid, intelligent and well-apoken. He is just an amaaaazing individual.

Yes, that ROF is the BEST on Idol.
The test is just let anyone else sing that song.
Could they stir the audience just like ADAM did with conflicting emotions you don't know exactly what just happened?
Just like how Kara explained, yes it was weird, it was strange but she likes it.
It was the same to me, don't know what just transpired, found it weird and strange but liked it so much.
It was so sexy, so electrifying that I was stunned and was just blown away.
And nobody else can do to his audience.

Anon @12:26pm...I assume you meant "without" fingers ahead of the brain... I do it too!

Yes, I meant without auto tuning in anon @12:26 comment. Thanks for catching that.

@ 8:11 P.M......... JAK here

Yes, it happens to me on a frequent basis. A couple weeks go by and though "I ain't broken, but I need a fix". I watch from audition to We Are The Champions! Speaking of Ring of Fire...the night he sang that I walked in to the room where my husband was reading and said "I want you to watch Am. Idol with me next time, there's this kid that's going to win, he's special." Well, as WE know he did win!

@JAK

Well, what happened after that ROF? Did your husband watched TOMT with you the next week?
I'm the same, I go back to Season 8 every few months.
I read from a poster in another site that somewhere you can get Season 8 in 20 DVDs from a website.
Does anybody know? I would like to get for myself and gift some people so they can see and appreciate ADAM.

@ 11:05 I would love a dvd of season 8, but i only want Adam. No one else, just Adam.

hehehe... Poor Adam, still remembering Simon Cowell's remark after "Ring of Fire"... I showed a video of that 'Ring of Fire" to my aged aunt.. She did not like it but she did point out that Adam sang it well...

@ 11:05 P.M.....JAK here

At my request, the spouse watched all the rest of Am Idol with me that season. As you recall, they had some pretty good singers that year. He agrees that Adam has an excellent voice he just doesn't have any desire to listen to him or anyone for that matter. He plays a jazz station at home so low I can't hear it at all......while he reads. Books, not music are his thing! And since I did have a tendency to talk way too much about Adam in the early days, he rapidly became bored at the mention of his name, so I mostly clam up.

That's why I'm here! I can Adam Adam Adam and no one rolls their eyes.

For me, Adam set the bar so high during season 8 of IDOL, that no one since then has come close to his vocal talent or stage presence. So all I have done in the following seasons is compare the contestants to Adam and no one has caught my attention as much as he did. I would love to see him as a judge on the show, but it doesn't seem as it that will happen. It's going to be a train wreck with Mariah and Minaj with their cleavage, big hair and diva like behavior. If Keith Urban is signed, he will be insignificant with these two women. I've lost interest in the show the last few seasons and probably won't watch it at all unless Adam comes on as a judge.

I'm quite positive ADAM would end in the AI judges panel.
I just feel it.
