Head over to Towleroad HERE to read their new article on 2012 being a great year for gay rights!

Adam Lambert was mentioned as one of their reasons for having a great year. This is what they said:

"In pop music, 83. Adam Lambert became the first out gay artist to have a number one album on Billboard's album chart. No wonder he was given the honor of covering Madonna at VH1's Divas concert special, an event he also hosted."

Read the whole article over at their site. It's a very good article on gay rights winning ground in the United States this year.

Thanks admin, for posting this! So many moments to celebrate this past year. Loved the big beautiful picture of Adam, and the great mention.

I also really enjoyed seeing the picture of the two bearded middle aged men, partners for many years in Washington State, looking like they might have just walked out of the woods, whose picture went viral worldwide, when they were amongst the first couples to apply for marriage licenses after my state voted to pass Marriage Equality this year. I loved the picture at the time because it was so heartwarming to see all of the couples, from all walks of life, eager to take that last formerly unobtainable step of marriage. And it also showed the many faces of the GLBT community. Young, old, rich, poor, all shapes, sizes, colors, some with their children in tow...our neighbors and friends...Brought tears to my eyes then..and now again.

I hope everyone here takes the time to read the article..So many positive steps forward.

I was so proud of our country as I read this, there is still a long way to go but there are huge cracks in that wall behind which LGBT people had to live for so many years. For the first time I really believe that equality will be possible in my children's lifetime...if not in mine...JAK
So proud of Adam.
