"With frequent wardrobe changes that featured everything from fierce leather-studded jackets to a Kabbalah-inspired frock (a nod to Madonna), Lambert glided through Bowie's "Let's Dance" and Madge's "Ray of Light." Despite a rough start to the latter, he pulled it together. (There are reports he requested assistance adjusting his ear piece backstage prior to the performance, and from the looks of it, he couldn't hear himself singing.)
No matter, the show must go on, and so it did. With enough swag and sparkle to dazzle even the highest brows in Tinsel town, Lambert was a natural and broke some new ground, allowing the audience to see that he can be both funny and fierce. It's a fact his Glamberts know well, but until tonight, had not yet been witnessed by the mass populus."
So true...Adam did absolutely steal the show with his gorgeous good looks, spectacular vocal numbers and amazing stage presence. I didn't really care about the "divas" so much; most were just mediocre in their performances. For me, Kelly Clarkson was the best of all the divas and who are Metric and Paloma Faith??? How are they divas if they are relatively new in the music business without much to prove their worth? Anyway, it was Adam's show all the way.
Metric is a fabulous group and they did a great cover of Debbie Harry/Blondie. One of my friends with me last nite loves Paloma Faith, as does her husband, but didnt care for her song last nite. Everyone came to hear their own favorites and it was fun hearing/seeing new artists. . . . Adamluv
For same I am on PMs train. I am on singing show overload and steer clear of most these days. But for Adam I am on board and definitely not bored. The entire show was upbeat and good. Adam shined! The Dark Side
I hate to say it but, I would watch Adam and then reverse the show, watch Adam while the other performers were on. I would fast forward until I saw Adam again, and then watch him, reverse, and kept doing that till the end. So really I couldn't even tell you who half the people were on the show or what they did..Just watched Adam..lol
I also only watched the show to see Adam. The so-called divas were nothing special to me and don't truly fit the definition. Kelly Clarkson is probably the only one who has become a music superstar in the 10 years she's been recording. The other gals just didn't bring it the way previous legendary divas have in the past. The show was promoted as a dance party and I suppose it was with all the pyrotechnics, lights and dancers. But Adam Lambert did steal the show with each and every one of his wardrobe changes and the songs he performed. Bravo!

I loved Adam's performance of giving tribute to Donna Summers. Wished he performed one of his own songs on the show. He was a fabulous host.
Loved Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Metrics, Ciara. That's it.
I LOVE this review. :) :) :)

Well what did they expect when they invited him to host and sing? Obviously they don't follow him like we do :)) It was a clear no-brainer to us.
Yes indeed Adam was awesome.
The only reason I watched it was for Adam, thats it, if there was another host I wouldnt give Divas the time of day......Not kidding
@4:59- I totally agree- Adam's the only reason I watched!
