I can't believe I'm the first one here to comment on that amazing Chinese comprehensive review of all of Adam's work! Boy, the Chinese station really did a very thorough research on almost everything Adam's done from AI on...I mean even the PLL, Vh1 Diva Show, all his videos, AOL sessions work....but the thing that impressed me the most was how impressed the Chinese are with Adam's vocals! How clever of them to show his range on a musical scale correlated with which song he was singing....they even showed Runnin on there! Unbelievable review and promotion....can you imagine if he had a show like that here in the US promoting his comprehensive work and all that he's accomplished? Loved the part withQueen of course. I think everyone's impressed with Adam's abilities when it comes to fronting Queen... Excellent job! I hope Adam gets to see this.

I hate to say this but even our Glamberts from U.S. knows that there are still a lot of idiots and no brains living in their country....

It's really sad though...

They are ignoring their own precious talent Mr. Adam the true American hero........

China loves Adam, and their love is clearl based on his outstanding talent rather than his orientation. It's America's loss because other countries will promote Adam and appreciate him for who he is and Adam will succeed with their help. America is embarressing it'self by refusing to acknowledge him.

Wow I just watched the video!. Such an honor. Yes and thank you China for recognizing a one of a kind talent!

I was watching a 'newsworthy' show yesterday and the topic was the return of Justin Timberlake. A host and two men. The theme: 'Is Justin Timberlake the biggest pop star?' (or something to that effect) One man wasn't nuts about Justin's latest album but he did agree that Justin is not just one-dimensioal....then the 'Elvis' mention came up. One thought JT was the new 'Elvis' of our day...the other thought Bruno Mars would fit the bill...

Well....of course I disagreed. Elvis was sexy...smouldering...charismatic...and as much as I respect JB and BM for their vocal talent, they just don't have that effect on me....as well, they're not as pleasing visually.

Good points I took away from the interview. Elvis and Michael Jackson amassed so much of their fortune by becoming multifaceted.... JT is a singing star...movie star...tv star...etc.

Adam could easily 'brand' himself in the clothing, makeup, television, perfume (oh it's almost endless) industries and create a successful 'empire'of his own. The 'girls' have been doing it. I think Adam has so much more to offer....even though the singing career should be enough. He is so multi-talented....

"...... and as much as I respect JB and BM for their vocal talent.."

Oh oh.....I meant JT.

Don't even want to go there with JB!!!

Wow! Now THAT's what we call a great introduction!!! Adam Lambert is simply extraordinary in everything that he does and that's why he has true, passionate AND enduring fans. What a wonderful overview of his career to date.

To say Adam could do more to help his career by selling perfume is ridiculous, he is an entertainer full stop. Stars who sell perfume etc. make a bit on the side but don't tell me they are famous because of there perfume, clothing or jewellery line. China has the right idea it places credit where it is due without cheap gimmicks, recognising true artistic talent and artistry for what it is. I't a pity the US can't do the same, refusing to play Adam's music on radio is as good as black listing him and shame on them for doing so. Thank god Europe and China recognise Adam and play his music, his TP album has been amongst the top 10 for the past 3 months, simply based on his exceptional talent without the gimmicks.

@5:52AM

Did you read my entire post?

I said Adam could easily brand himself...he likes fashion...he likes scents....he gives great TV. His appeal is massive.

I also said that his singing career should be enough...but he has so much to offer,it would be easy for him to extend his appeal.

Chillax!

I understand where your coming from, but I really think it would be a shame for Adam to get more recognition for these pursuits rather than for what he was born to do meaning singing and entertainment. Btw, I tried Britney Spears perfume, not only did I dislike it, the perfume has a cheap nasty one, it really made me feel like never listening to her music again.

@7:05 AM

I agree....some scents are awful. He could represent a scent that's already tried-and-true....I'm thinking of Jared Leto and Matthew McConaughey...

Scents aside.....I will always think of Adam the 'vocal powerhouse'. I just thought it was interesting how an artist like Justin Timberlake is being described as the modern day 'Elvis' because his talent is more far reaching than his singing alone.

I merely suggested that Adam, because he is so multi-faceted/multi-talented,could branch off into other projects.

I'd love to see Adam become a media personality who is enjoyed and loved for entertaining people in different ways, not just singing. Considering how smart and funny he is when he is interviewed, it's beyond me why he hasn't been discovered by the big talk show as an actual sit-down guest, not just a music guest. He has stories to tell, he "gets" every joke, he's quick on the uptake with wit, and he certainly has personal experience with current social issues and can speak intelligently about them. I'd love to see him become kind of like Alec Baldwin, who is very entertaining on these shows. He is asked to appear on them even when he is not "selling" or promoting anything. He's just entertaining. I wish Adam could get a sit-down on a major talk show and really "break through" as an interesting, intelligent, witty guest in his own right. Justin Timberlake is evidence of how a singer can break the boundaries and become so many other things without losing his integrity. Adam needs that breakthrough appearance, that breakthrough event, even that breakthrough song, that breaks down this wall that he keeps hitting up against. I know we will all contnue to love and promote him as best we can. But he has such up-tapped potential that is a crime to waste. There is a breakthough event out there just waiting to happen that gets him into the general public's eye in a good way.

Good interview, love all of the pictures and facts listed. Adam looked so hansome on Jay Leno. But doesn't he always.

I think you are assuming Adam will be asked to represent a clothing line, or a fragrance, etc. you can't just decide to make an industry of yourself and presto! It happens. You can't just decide to make movies or be hired for tv and have it happen. If you could....why wouldn't he be the face for Skingraft leather jackets, etc. He is personal friends with them. He wears and praises Gareth Pugh clothing and Rick Owens boots yet he is not asked to be a spokesman for them. It's not that easy..........you need an aggressive extremely well paid business manager whose whole job is selling you, your image, your name. I don't believe Adam has reached that level yet......he and RCA are committed to his music selling well......maybe someday those other perks will come............JAK

As far as Justin Timberlake goes, the reason he has broken boundaries without losing his integrity is because, one, he is not a gay artist, making him more acceptable to the general public and therefore not having to prove that he is worthy of superstar status, and two, he has been in the industry for a very long time, much longer than Adam, he is more tried and true than Adam who is still a relatively new star.

Oh boy....

I watched a show. I thought of Adam. I wondered if and how he could be as far-reaching as someone like JT. I thought "Adam has so many things he's good at". I expressed this.

Not a good thing.

I'm outta here!

excellent program. Get back here 7:58 your post was wonderful and was food for thought, thanks for posting.

JAK and 7:56, I agree. I was just brainstorming some thoughts. Adam is just so damn talented that I can't stand to see it all so hidden away. I realize JT has been around a long time and has paid his dues. He is also very talented in many ways. I like him. Being straight doesn't hurt, either. I just hope that, in time, Adam will be "re-discovered" as a person worthy of people's attention for a variety of reasons, his music, his personality, his opinions and experiences. Just a dream of mine. And yes, JAK, I know that marketing products is a complicated thing. Using someone as a spokesman for a product is full of risk, and Adam is not your garden-variety, average, appeal-to-everyone kind of guy.

This is great but your view of the acceptance of Adam and other LGBT people in China is very skewed. It is very difficult to be gay or lesbian in China and people go to great lengths to hide it from their families. This one review does not mean Adam is a bigger star in China than the US. How many people in Shanghai saw Adam? A tiny minuscule of the population.
Why do so many of you not give due credit to the organizations in the US that promote Adam? Out magazine has something on Adam every Wednesday. MTV Buzzworthy is a huge supporter of Adam. Obviously VH1 believes in Adam with the Divas hosting job. These are just a couple of obvious examples.

Fascinating!!!
Report a spectacular talent and career of Adam!! A unique figure, with a high level of quality, walking with giant strides, the place it deserves in the music world! Thanks China! Appreciation for this great and wise valuation of all artistic attributes contained in this beautiful man! HH

JAK here...............................However..........if Adam ever has a uni-sex fragrance to do tv ads for....please model it after Charlize Theron's Dior commercial where she is striding toward the camera and taking off accessories, etc. as she gets closer and closer!
My husband watches in open mouthed wonder....and on every gift occasion....oddly enough he buys me Miss Dior or Diorissimo or J'adore cologne!

I want to see Adam in a tux striding toward the camera, removing tie, jacket , unbuttoning shirt (just a few buttons)...oh, and can we call the cologne Naked Love?

it's nap time and I can't sleep so I'm entertaining myself with daydreaming scenarios.......my next one is going to include a sleigh and reindeer and a warm bearskin lap robe and a warm companion dashing thru the snow in Finland.......and no, it's not Santa!

Oh JAK. You are so fun and always write as the voice of reason, rarely getting ruffled.
We love your posts, keep it up Girl, I am a fan.

@ CT "first commenter"

Of course Adam got to see this. He was the one who posted it on his weibo account for all 'weibers' to see.

@ Jadam........JAK here

If I could wish myself 10 years younger, I'd hop on a plane and fly off to New Zealand.....we could meet and go explore The Hobbit Village. I can't wait to see the movie!

I wish I had done some traveling in your hemisphere, NZ must be beautiful with all the varied terrain.......where I live it's flat, flat, flat! I'm about a 12 hour drive to the nearest mountains. Mountains soothe my soul...:-)

@JAK ........... Naked Love - Yes! Yes! Yes! What a FABULOUS name for a scent!!!!!
