I wish Queen+Adam Lambert would perform on AI finale!However,I think this dyoing show can't afford this magical appearance!
Why is he doing all these gay concerts
because a paying gig is a paying gig.
@Anon 7: 13 PM
Because he was asked to do them..and they pay him, for starters :)). Gay Pride festivals can be HUGE..The one in my city, Seattle, which is definitely one GIANT, city-wide party, is not attended by "just" GLBT folks, not that it wouldn't be just fine even it were strictly a "gay" festival. The parade through downtown Seattle last year was over three hours long, and major local companies, including Amazon, Microsoft, Starbucks, and the local fire, police departments, plus hundreds of other businesses and organizations, including churches, sponsor and participate. And the sidewalks are lines several people deep on both sides of the street along the entire route. I think I heard that the parade route/festival was attended by at least 110,000 people. Artists and performers who are invited to entertain are both gay and straight, as are those who attend the Pride Fest, as it's called in Seattle. So why wouldn't Adam want to perform at a festival that large, be it "gay" or otherwise?? Its a MAJOR coup and opportunity for him to be seen by a wide variety of people from all walks of life, and gain some new fans in the process. That's "Why" :))) I
7:13 sounds like a troll to me. "All these gay concerts"? This makes two. That isn't a lot.
This is a 90 min outdoor concert with band, dancers, backup singers - the real deal. Last year it was attended by 6800 people. Comeon Pittsburgh, it should be easy to top that this year. Let's show Adam what the Steel City is made of!!!
@7:13PM Cause none of these f..........straight jerks want to perform with Adam on the same stage.And they make a lot of $$$$.So, Adam's management still can't pay millions for Adam's big performances at Grammy's or AMA or whatever...But Gay's awards and shows pays good(hope so)Did you see the prices on GLAAD award tickets?Hope Adam will get some slice of this big $$$$$$$$$$chocolate cake!
@Anon 7:49 PM
The GLAAD Awards event that Adam is attending, and being honored at is also a benefit event. This is what they are funding according to the website:
"The GLAAD Media Awards also fund GLAAD's work to amplify stories of LGBT people and issues that build support for equality".
And the reason the ticket prices are very high....
Adam's heart is with the LGBT community and has spoken out for equal rights in marriage for all. I'm glad he getting rewarded for all his good work. I want to see my two granddaughters be able to marry who they love.....so I admire Adam. So yes thank you Jesus!
Good reasons for Adam to do these "gay" concerts:
Money, exposure to a wide audience, personal integrity, commitment to a worthwhile cause, heart, soul.
It guess that might answer the question "why."
DRG
Good on you DRG
hooray for all you PA area folks, so happy for you... go show this magnificent performer some love!!
Please ignore the trolls.
Agree, ignore trolls and crays. We've been doing a good job of it lately. Worth it to try IMHO :)
Just found that trip to Pittsburgh will cost me about $1,600 for 2 days:( No way I can afford it:(
I don't agree that we should always ignore comments we might disagree with, "trolls" or not.. My definition of "troll" might not be the same as yours. Just a thought. :))
Who's going to this awesome event??
People aren't trolls just because they might disagree with your point of view. They sometimes have a valid point or maybe one that you haven't thought of that is worth considering. #Open-minded.
I would like to see Allison Iraheta(if available)join Adam's band as back up singer .She is someone with whom he has great chemistry and shes so talented! Their duets on Idol were great. She could also be featured as soloist during his costume changes ,etc .If there are to be 2 dancers a male and a female would be better , I think . Just one fans opinion.
@Anon 4:43 AM
My point exactly. I personally feel that the term "troll" is used here sometimes WAY too often. I only consider someone to be that if they have obviously come here to say mean, ugly, untrue things about Adam or someone else, and who is obviously NOT a fan, but just wishes to spread hate for someone. Beyond that, everyone has the right to an opinion, whether it's a "popular" one or not. And we all have the option of responding or ignoring. And we might learn something new along the way. I know I sure do! I think the key word here is #respect for others. When we start calling each other names, that pretty much flies right out the window. And the flow of ideas comes to a screeching halt. Many is the time I just "scroll on by" but once in awhile I can't resist responding. And sometimes the actual intent of a comment or question is misunderstood and someone is jumped on by someone else for no good reason.
@4:41 I am!!!!!
Some of the trolls here are very obvious. When we ignore them you often see them posting again still trying to stir things up. I don't think there is any excuse for not ignoring a troll
You are never going to change their mind. They are only around to cause trouble and then laugh at it. I agree that the post at 7:13 was a troll. Even if they are just a fan still uncomfortable with gay events there would be no harm done in not responding to it. In my opinion it is better to err on the side of not responding if we ever have a chance of the trolls getting bored and moving on to another site. Please consider this.
I agree, let's not respond to anything that might be a troll. Some of them are good at making their comment look like a fan with an issue with something Adam did. Not responding doesn't hurt anybody and doesn't encourage the real trolls. I'm in, anybody else?
My sister and I are going to try and get tickets from the fan club pre sale on Tuesday. If not lucky there will buy on the 5th.I live in Cleveland ,Ohio area. ROADTRIP!!
