"You are the miracle, Adam."
I thought the live performance was bland compared to recorded version, but the adoring fans' outpour of love made up for it.

I love the way men in China adore Adam also. The straight men don't seem afraid of enjoying him. Has to be cultural.

Yeah Time for miracles. It sounded great. Would love to see hime sing it with a full orchestra!!

Anonymous said...

@8:46 It would be hard for Adam to sing TFM and sound like the track. I thought it was beautiful and gentle. The fans yelling Adam you are the miracle got me choked up. He is a miracle! This song was a big hit in China as was the movie 2012,so glad he sang it and he covered Shout which was so cool. Changing up some of the songs was exciting!Adam is exciting!!! Thank you for these videos!

TFM was a shorter and softer version, but his voice is so sweet here, I loved it.

Anonymous said...

Why did Adam changed his set this time? Does anybody have a clue?

Anonymous said...

Probably just got tired of the same set. I like the change-up. Makes things more interesting. I'm all for variety. It's the spice of life. I love TFM, ITL, etc. It's all good!

Yes, the recorded TFM is a real belter but this one is more tender and soft. The audience sure loved it and sang along.

Time for Miracles was a nice addition to his song set. I loved the audience singing along and someone yelling"you're the miracle". He certainly is. Adam is receiving such a warm and enthusiastic reception in Japan and China. He looks good and sounds even better.

What kind of song is this Shout? I can`t hear the words. Is it angst or mad song.. Is there something about wanting to tell something? Is there something he want´s to tell..

JAK here....after the first few songs I wondered 'throat trouble '? Everything was kept out of higher registers, no 'wails' till one medium wail toward the end. I sure hope he's not having a problem, more performances to come. But since he's a pro he'll know how to handle it, if that's the case. Softer songs, which I like anyway. That could be the reason for different playlist. Time for Miracles was a real surprise, I didn't dislike it but am so accustomed to it being powerful and bombastic I'll have to listen a few times to get used to it. (Not that I'll mind, listening to Adam is always a pleasure). Sure hope the golden throat is okay.
Chicken soup? Lol.......

Anonymous said...

JAK, I also thought he was rather subdued. Maybe not feeling real good. Better rest up for Thursday! The singamore crowd is manic.

Singamore? I meant Singapore. LOL.

8:46 -- Compared to you, I thought the live performance was more 'real'. I have been waiting 4 years to hear TFM and I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED IN THE LEAST. Loved it and loved the outpouring of love from HK fans who wanted to hear this song live as well. They were singing along and so happy that Adam decided to sing it.

The recorded version of Time for Miracles probably had a full orchestra backing Adam's vocals. How incredible that with just a few instruments, Adam Lambert managed to render a beautiful, heartfelt version with impeccable vocals. And furthermore, I too think that Adam was under the weather in Shanghai and Hong Kong, but him being the professional, dedicated entertainer that he is, he gave his shows without any excuses or complaints. I just love this performer so much. I remember his bro Niel tweeting once about Adam not having missed a single show during the 116-shows run in the Glam Nation Tour (even if some nights, he wasn't feeling well).

Anonymous said...

In that Shanghai interview I felt he sounded a little muffled. Maybe he got a cold or something from all the flights or fans and cold weather. He is staying away from high notes for whatever reason and SANG in his low register which sounded fabulous. Loved TFM and Shout. Nice surprise!

Anonymous said...

Maybe the schedule of dates so close to each other, air travel, the weather, the number of songs Adam performs, the pictures he takes with fans are all catching up with him. A little rest and lots of hot tea might help. He has never missed a concert performance and I am sure that's what keeps him going...not wanting to disappoint the audiences waiting to see him. He is still doing an amazing job and adding a few new songs to the playlist just makes it so much more interesting to watch him perform. Thanks for all the vids we have seen from Japan and China. It's always so exciting keeping up with the latest from Adam Lambert and his Glamily Tour.

I'm sorry to be a downer but I am losing my interest in Adam as the tour goes on. I don't like his strong make up, not his all outfits, not him crabbing his crotch etc. Looks like GNT. I loved the more organic, natural Adam which he was when he did those radio PR-gigs. Just the beautiful Adam and his voice. He said that he was more sure about himself and did not need so much make-up as mask. Is he somehow insecure now?

From now on I watch only a few vids from this tour. I must say I love to hear Time For Miracles. This has been one of my all time favorites. And I like this version.

Why not BE, Stay and Undernieth... :(

Did HK fan on this site go to this concert? If so, HK please give us a recap. Thanks!

Anonymous said...

@ 11:32 AM
He is no longer in safe and securite relationship and he is even not telling that so yes he is hiding something.

Anonymous said...

Hong Kong fans are sleep. Once they're up we'll get more vids. And pics. Read securities ristricted fans not to use cameras. So possibly we won't see that much vids. And pics.

@11:33, IMHO u havent been paying attention if u think this Adam we are getting now isnt an authentic Adam ... but to each his own as the phrase goes.

HK fan at this one I believe.

thought this concert was great imo. liked the vocals. Glamtroupe looking good

didnt mean to sound harsh, just addressing you with my varying POV. THX for sharing! :)

everyone, lets ignore those posters just above who act like they know AML personally (not 11:33 :)) & I didnt mean to do that myself either, sorry

Adam has gotten us spoiled with his voice that we forget he has to pace himself, especially with the glory notes that feature some songs. My heart goes out to him sometimes, a victim of his own excellence. But he knows to listen to his own instincts and retract, because look what happens when he does, the fans pick up for him and shout "You are the miracle, Adam"--transactional analysis at its best. atm

Anonymous said...

I just watched the whole show on the link. I take back what I said about him seeming a little under the weather.; If he was, I didn't see it during the whole video except he didn't belt out all the wails. I loved TFM and the new song. It seems to have a real meanig for Adam. Maybe he'll explain it in an interview.

I love each performance of every show, but I can see how some people can tire of the repeptitiveness of watching video after video. You can imagine how the performers feel when they do long tours like GNT, that are over 100 shows. Until the internet, nobody could view so many siimilar shows. Now, we can participate in the whole tour. If you don't enjoy all the shows, then skip a few. I think each one is different, and some of them really contain great surprises.

I think Adam is doing great on this tour. The crowd loves him everywhere he goes. I think he'll be in top form on Thursday in Singapore. Just enjoy.

I watched Fever with a smile on my face. It's my least fave song but I like to watch it now with the dancers. Adam was tipsy, maybe?

Anonymous said...

1:02 pm

Would he be tipsy when working?

Anonymous said...

The music should be more vigorous in Shout.

Anonymous said...

@11:33 AM, the only performance I've lost interest in is Fever. Don't like the touchy feely dancers and the sexual risque dancing. So, I've started skipping it. The majority of the show is outstanding! Loved that he sang TFM, been waiting for a long time to hear him sing it live. I still find Adam exciting and interesting, but I do understand a little of what you're saying.

Anonymous said...

@1:08 I can do without Fever, but imo it's normal dance routine there, that other performers do with their dancers too. He is not kissing them with tongue or anything. I hope Adam understands a lot of fans, and media, found the gnt kiss unnecessary and distasteful.

Anonymous said...

Well, the kissing is over and done with long ago, so no sense talking about it as if it still goes on. I LOVE Fever. It's one of my favorites, a sexy song that suits me fine, but I respects others' tastes. Love Shady, too.

DRG

Anonymous said...

I feel ya. Hope he gets it out of his system soon. Don't care for the dancers in Fever.

Anonymous said...

I think in Shanghai Stay/Underneath were amazing:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJR4K9SwlzY&feature=player_embedded

Maybe he had some problems with his voice this time?

Anonymous said...

@1: 54

I think that too. And BE can be tricky too to a singing voice.

Anonymous said...

I like Time For Miracles. It's like a good old British pop song.

Anonymous said...

Love Fever. Love burlesque modernized feel & with dancers as well. Love the campy & trampy, its one song's routine. Never tired of GNT Fever Kiss, ever, was titilating in a fun goofy smirk inducimg way. My 2 cents. :)

@Anon 3:35PM
Came here to praise FEVER, (loved it, loved it & loved it!)
You said everything I wanted to say, and much better I ever could, thank you!

I’ve always loved Fever. Adam knows this song INSIDE OUT (well, DUH, after all those GNT gigs) so he can just have fun and do what the heck he wants, every time there’s something different - yet always impeccable vocals. Love that HIGH HIGH NOTE!
And the guys had so much fun (as did I, LOL)!

Anonymous said...

Jeepers, Adam doesn't need to wail in songs for them to be great. Stop being so critical, folks and enjoy ALL of Adam's voice.

Anonymous said...

I would've preferred to hear Time For Miracles without fans screaming. It's a beautiful, poignant song that shouldn't be embellished by screaming fans.

Anonymous said...

I solved my problem with Fever long ago, during GNT. I just don't watch it. Simple. I didn't like the action then, really don't like it now. Love the song so I just rest my eyes during the performances. It seems immature to me, like a naughty boy saying, hey look what I can get away with!
Just seems rather cheap and sleazy.
So, for me it's audio only. Problem all fixed!

Anonymous said...

@ 5:40 pm

No one critized Adam for not haveing the usual high wails, they merely commented that he seemed to be saving his voice.

I personally am not a fan of wails!

Anonymous said...

I absolutely LOVE Adam's version of Shout - SUPERB!!! And I LOVE Time For Miracles (without all the fan noise). It's great to hear Adam sing in his mid range - really, really good.

Anonymous said...

Maybe Adam was saving his voice and maybe not. I thought he sounded fine and I'm very picky when it comes to voices.

Anonymous said...

WOW! Bonus songs for Hong Kong! Shout and Time For Miracles! Lucky Chinese.

Anonymous said...

He did sound fine, he just wasn't using his full range like he usually does.

Magiclady said...

I love Tears for Fears.
Adam sang the shit out of "Shout" and so sexy too

Anonymous said...

I just read that the air quality has been quite bad in China, esp. in Peking, but also in Shanghai and the smog has been spreading to Japan too. I don't know if this has anything to do with Adam's voice, but the Chinese people are told to keep the masks on the bad areas. Maybe Adam did get away from the worst air in Shanghai when he flew to Hong Kong and is now going to Singapore. Just speculating.

HK fan said...

Don't know if anyone is coming back to this thread, but his voice sounded great in real live. Maybe not quite as many big notes as usual, but still some.
I think he chose to sing TFM softer and less rock orientated than the original as it was the power ballad of the evening, in place of Underneath/stay.
