Must be from his hotel room. Were getting a snow storm in Fargo, North Dakota, we do not need more moisture, in for a big flood, before this even happened.

Fargo.....hi.......JAK here

See that beautiful view? 21 years this August a category 5 hurricane named Andrew hit that area with 160 mph winds and left no beach, just destruction. A new beach of white sand was trucked in for weeks and weeks. Thousands of homes and hotels destroyed, people left homeless, rebuilding took years, but beauty has been restored......until next time!

I am praying for the river cities that had excessive snow this winter and will face flooding and destruction. Nature can deal some mighty blows but somehow people are resilient and build again. Sometimes stubborn is good!

Miami looks like a beautiful beach. Here in NZ we are surronded by water so also have a lot of gorgeous beaches. The west coast quite rugged with black iron sands and the east coast is all beautiful white sands. Some not unlike Miami. It is a sort of ritual for a lot of families to have a beach holiday each year. Though we are going out of summer which has been a long hot one into winter (yuk)
Sorry a bit off topic.

Thanks for your posts JAK they are very informative and interesting. I have learnt more about America through being an Adam fan than I ever did at school Im sure.

@ Jadam.....JAK here......the east coast of Florida has some beautiful beaches, but I admit I am partial to the west coast where I live.....the St. Petersburg and Clearwater beaches are wide white sand and the Gulf is calmer than the Atlantic. Both very tropical, but an hours drive inland from either coast and you are seeing cattle and horse ranches, small towns with huge oaks trailing lacy gray Spanish moss forming a tunnel for the streets of houses with wide porches lined with rocking chairs and porch swings. Very country. Even a few very small hills!

Nothing near as spectacular as your NZ scenery and variety but it has a lazy charm.

Beautiful sand, just like our beaches in Australia.
