OMG! The Featured Picture threw me off balance. I didn't even recognize it as Adam at first glance. It's new to me and I LOVE it.

OMG What is with him & top hats?? Stupidest look ever! Every time he's had a TV gig to try to garner new fans, he just does some really dumb things with his image at the wrong times. Just saying what many of you were thinking. But at least the actual clip looks like he had fun.

Wow, this is really antique artistic; reminds me a little of Phantom of the Opera...I watched both the stage opera and the dvd version. The ending part of the dvd story showed the 'Phantom' an old man after many years, laying a single red rose on the grave of Christine who had married but Phantom never forgot her; he wore this olden long coat, and hat as he got out of his carriage. Adam could play Phantom actually...Adam's voice...Angel of the Night...Angel of Music...as Christine referenced Phantom.

I have to say I'm not a fan of this look either, but I think Adam will still be good. We have different tastes.

look forward to seeing Starchild in many different wardrobe changes on GLEE and hoping for more programs to come.

I mean I don't think this look is sexy, but maybe the role is not meant to be that. Some new ideas that are different from gnt era would be nice.

If I may continue, i wish nothing hippie style either. Just something more current, and maybe sexy.

No offense; but I think you should speak for yourself. The way you feel is not what I am thinking. One thing you should know about Adam fans; If you are one, we speak our minds. First of all Adam is an artist. Adam is playing a part on Glee.

This is not Adam's show. I am pretty sure they have wardrobe professionals to pick costumes for the performers. they may permit the the cast to have some imput; with the director's final approval.

Also, even at Adam's own concerts he had fabulous costumes to fit each song he performed; and it was fabulous.

To follow Adam, is to accept him as he is, and not critize and complain about his clothing choices; especially when he is entertaining and is probably not in control of the wardrobe .

How would we like it, if everytime we put on an outfit; our family would complain about it? We are not even members of Adam's family; so we either accept him for who he is and what he wears; or find a way to deal with it. Adam's main motto has aways been, "entitlement is not sexy".

We are all entitled to our opinions, of course; but, personally, I think he looks great in that top hat, it is perfect for the part he is playing. Most importantly, Adam seems happy with it; and the Glee people evidently are too.

In my opinion, you are right about one thing, he does seem like he is having fun. As long as Adam is happy; that's all that really matters anyway!

People have to make up their own minds about who and how they want to respond to a poster. It is unfortunate that their are some nasty trolls on some of these sites. Then again, it may be someone just in need of some good intelligent schooling. But, I understand how you feel.

Can we just let Glee run their own show, and not comment all the time about how wrong they are doing it, and how we have much better ideas for the show. I don't think any of us know what the show is all about, just from the little snippets we have seen in the promos. When we see the whole episode, then we will understand a lot more. Peace :)

@9:36 The true fans criticize Adam's looks too. Remember the shaved sides? And they were awfully critical about Adam's first single. Perhaps not you, but some did and they were never told to shut up. I guess some fans have the privilege to criticize here while others don't.

I agree with you, Ann Marie. Let's let Glee run their own show. I'm pretty sure they determine what goes on in the episode, what is said, who wears what, who sings which song,etc., etc. I doubt very much that Adam chose that outfit - he's playing a PART and his name is "Starchild". Get it?? This is how Glee wrote it and this is how Adam will act it. Sheeesh ..

the look they are going for here is overly bold and it worked. Y'all sure did notice. lol

In the actual video, Adam wears this top-hat, coattail suit only a few minutes and flings the top-hat; twirls the chandelier and swings across the room. I think it's more for contrast than fashion. Contrast is good because it brings out the drama and unexpectance. If for instance, he didn't wear this olden outfit and just sings and swings in the black shirt/pants/boots...I feel it's less artistic and less captivating; Glee is psychodrama all the way. Yes he likes fashions olden and modern and so the contrast for dramatic effect. Actually there's no need to analyse; just feel the beauty and originality of the performance.

Are you not a true fan? Also, I don't think anyone ever told you to shut up, no one has that right.

I don't think there is anything wrong with stating an opinion about liking or disliking something about Adam or anyone else; as long as it is in a respectful manner. This is not directed towards you personally; But, when you say Adam does "dumb" things and he has the "stupidest" look ever, then that seems to be crossing a line towards disrespect towards Adam. Perhaps you should read your post again and see how it sounds. By the way, Adam loves all his fans. If you are a fan that is good. Watch Glee on November 7th and you will be able to see how that costume fits in to the Adam's part.

He did insist on being a glampire on PLL last year even though the production team wanted to try something else. :D Could be that he also influenced this look, those seem the kind of clothes Adam might like.

That is a strong possibility; Ryan, the producer did say that Adam did have a lot of good ideas, so they may have welcomed his imput. Our man is so talented in all areas of entertainment it seems.

Yea I too tend to think Adam has quite a bit of say as to how he wants to portray certain aspects pertaining to his character on Glee. Not only Adam...producer, director or other cast members and crew need to work together in their respective roles and volunteer suggestions when necessary; the director gets the final say. With Adam, they might give him more leeway as to how he wants his character portrayed; he is after all a theatre geek! you know! lwl!

The problem with this look is we have seen it from adam before. He doesn't surprise us. He doesn't show much creativity.

I just love this look on Adam, he looks bad in a good way, can't wait to see him make his grand entrance, he'll kill it!!

A guest star might have a lot of input to begin with. We know Adam and Ryan brainstormed about his character but after that it is up to the director, the wardrobe people and the writers.

Adam is a team player. He will go with the flow of the show. NVM what we think of his character, his wardrobe, this song choices.

If we were so smart, we would be in Hollywood already writing for a TV show.

Soooo if comments are made that don't agree with yours
they are just as valid......if we could just avoid hateful remarks from T's or "true" fans we should be tolerant of disagreements.
I personally find the words "true" or "real" fans as offensive as the word T****. Who are we to designate whether someone is real or true, are you only a fan if you like everything Adam does, says or wears? If that's the case then I'm not a true fan and all these years I thought I was.

This is such a great opportunity for Adam to be on a tv show like GLEE. It gives him a new audience of viewers in addition to his loyal fans like myself who will be watching. Stop all the criticizing and whining and just enjoy him. He is only one character in this episode and Ryan Murphy and the other producers, writers have developed Adam's character, but he probably had some input into the role. I am sure he had a great time with this character and the rest of the cast from their comments really seemed to enjoy working with him. So just sit back and enjoy the music.

I love the top hats on Adam. But, as the old saying goes; Opinions are like A-- holes, everybody has one; and should be entitled to it. Who cares if a person thinks another person is a Troll or not? As long as you know in your heart that you are a fan of Adam's; that is all that matter. Express away;
in a respectable way of course.

Adam is going to be Adam; and I am a willing passenger on his "crazy train;" and enjoying the ride with "Glee"; pun intended.

I can only imagine what the comments will be after the first episode with Adam airs.

I LOVE Adam in a top hat. I think he looks very rakish in it. And I love the long-tailed coat, too. It all looks so Edwardian to me, which is a very sexy, sophisticated look, IMO. I know we all have our own opinions about his various looks. I just think this look is very sexy. We really don't know how much control Adam has over his Glee outfits. He tends to really take charge when it comes to clothes, mainly because fashion is a major part of his celebrity identity. In any case, he looks great to me. And for those who don't care for this look, as we say, don't worry, he'll change it up again before long.

I think @8:37 PM & @9:45 PM, and a few other posts; is the same person; and after reading all the posts, I think this person is probably very young and did not express themselve in a mature way. He or she appears to be hurt by everyone calling them a troll.

I think they at least tried to enter into a dialog with others. They seemed hurt that they were misunderstood; and they did say that "other true fans complain about Adam; and no one complains about them".

I also think this word troll is thrown around too much. I feel that a person should be careful before determining who they think is a troll and calling them out unless it is abundantly obvious.

There are probably some who want to express an opinion and really want Adam to make it; and think the things he does will hurt him; and just does not know how to express themselves. They may be young and just don't understand that lashing out at him and other fans like themselves, is no way to win favor on an Adam fan site. Maybe they will learn they can state their opinions without being disrespectful and overly critcal; and that it would be ok.

I do think that feelings can be hurt when someone is misunderstood because of the way that expressed their fustration over what they precived Adam is doing that may hurt him.

I also think that if everyone picks on one person that really did not say anything all that bad, and seems to continue to try and understand why they are being picked on, and others are not; it starts to look like bullying.

I oh so agree with you, JAK. If someone says the slightest thing about Adam that someone else doesn't like, that person is crucified and called a troll.

Yea looking forward to Glee episode 7...Adam might be the 'Puppet Master'...oooh-la-la! I looked it up, I found a rap song and also a video of hideous puppets. Is he going to rap or perhaps he and Chris dressed as puppets in a duet. Whoa, Adam is pulling out all the tricks of the trade. He will steer Glee to new heights.

I think sometimes we can be too critical of one another on this site when a matter of personal taste is shared. Some may like the top hat or not and it's being expressed here, not on Glee or to Adam, personally. I prefer Adam clean shaven, many like the facial hair and doubt that it will matter at all in the universe. I respect their taste and preferences and don't expect them to change their views. It really isn't that important and just an opinion that we should all be free to express here without personal criticism. Hopefully we can tell the difference between an obvious, insulting, mean remark and a harmless observation. Let's lighten up and have fun as we once did on this site.:)

I promise you, Glee will never be the same after Adam appears. And, it will be all for the better. I know this viewer will be there at every Adam Lambert episode.

How did we get so lucky, to have the universe deliver someone like Adam Lambert to us?

Adam has changed my whole life from the moment I first saw him on Idol. And it is all for the better. I Have been able to be in contact with so many wonderful fans whose life he has also lifted to a higher plane.

The man is just a blessing in so many ways. No wonder we are,
"so protective of him", as he once told an interviewer overseas, several years ago. How precious is he?

Adam first appearance on Glee (the trailer) was a bit overwhelming ... too much makeup and the top hat and tails with glitter. Adam had said on one interview it was not far from the truth in his early days of trying too hard! I love he can laugh at himself. But when we hear the voice we and Kurt will be stunned! Most of Glee is campy & overdone on purpose and it's wonderful enertainment!

It's difficult to read your comments when people want to argue. Please leave the trolls alone and pretend they are not there is a better solution. Believe me I know! I see them in just about every place where Adam is the focus of the conversation. Fighting with them only adds to their excitement and encourages them. Just my opinion. Peace and love.

Yes absolutely no need to analyse Adam because he's so open and explicit.
