Ok, ridculous stereotype. You did ask for it; so I am accomodating you. Believe it or not, there are some straight men that sew and make clothes; some even become tailors.

I know a Marine that sews; and he is not gay. A straight friend of mine designed one of his coats; and had a tailor make it for him, because he did not know how to sew. Also, many gay people can't design or sew. I know one of those too.

Adam played a straight role on Idol and did a mighty fine job at that.
Let Adam be Adam. He knows what he's doing.

I think that Adam is a pretty confident man and he is comfortable with people in general. Playing a straight or gay role would be equally easy for him because he would after all be just acting. He did a great job in the photo shoot with the naked model and it looked really sexy. Adam has also said pretty is pretty so I don't think he would object or have difficulty kissing someone on screen no matter the sex of the person.

I am so proud of Adam; his first Televised acting role. He is so proud I bet. He feels in his heart that he is now a bonified actor. That will be his judgement and his call; not anyone else's when he wants to call and post himself as an actor. His call only!

It would certainly be a nice change from the average big actor today who is shorter than most the female stars. Tall dak and handsome use to be the main ticket. I hope if Glee is trying to show that straights and gays are all individuals and can have the same life issues (and I believe that is what they have been doing all along) and if Adam is cast as straight that they and Adam continue to educate their viewers.

Besides Idol is this the first time Adam is working with others than his close circle of friends? It must be different for Adam, but I hope he likes it. Ngl, I am not very interested in seeing Adam's friends in every project he does. After all, we do get to see pictures of them at private parties etc.

I made a comment on another thread that because Adam and his friends have their closed circle, it may be difficult for them to make a brekthrough in their careers. Just a thought..

I just found out the other day that the handsome actor that has a staring role in "White Collar" is gay. I saw him in some magazine of most beautiful 100 celebrity men, he came in #1, Chris Coffer came in #3, Adam Lambert #4. I think it was a Gay publication; but they had straight men on the list also. I can't think of his name; but they mentioned him and his partner.

He plays a straight character and I never even knew he was Gay. He is a beautiful looking man, just like Adam. Adam should play any part he wants to. It is not his real life; it is called acting. Adam, please never limit yourself or put yourself in a box during the acting career that's heading your way.

Who is now, also venturing into the world of television acting, and then with more experience, perhaps the movies, and maybe Broadway one day. Yes, Adam happens to be Gay.

I understand, you are right; Adam does have an added advantage; he is a wonderful worldwide singing super star and Matt is not. But, that is ok; they are both fabulous in their own way. The subject we are discussing is the fact that he just posted actor recently, not 10 years ago. It was not about how long he has aspired to be an actor; just about him posting it recently and after his experience on Glee, probably feels that it is something that he feels comfortable pursuing, and perhaps considers himself as an actor that can take on different roles. Try and stick with the subject at hand.

By the way, I have decided that Adam is a star; he only described himself as singer, songwriter, actor. You know; triple threat.

How do you know that Matt Bomer is a family man? The magazine poll just listed him as having a partner. Adam has very wonderful family; and close long time family friends, he is also a Godfather and loves his little Godchild very much.

You evidently don't know who Adam's friends are. Out of all his friends that his fans have seen him with and know about. You mention some lil mamas site that seems very unfamilar. Why pick those out, and say you thought they were his friends. And then to say, "or maybe Adam is not always what it seems like".

Maybe you are not what you seem like? I think Adam is very much what he seems. A good, honest, humble man with a boat load of talent; and a worldwide superstar with lots of fans who love him; and now, "drum roll please", "actor" can be added to his resume.

If he wants to do so, I'm sure he will take acting lessons and be able to play a part completely unlike himself.

Really? I don't want just any old handsome actor in Adam's age group; I want Adam Lambert; no one can replace him. After seening him in Glee; I think he is a natural. He is also a quick study. In my opinion, he would also be wonderful in a movie musical. He has expressed again recently, that he would very much be interested in being involved in a movie version of "Jesus Christ Superstar", I think he would be fantastic in that.

His third album is scheduled to drop in 2014; and hopefully the Queen gigs will become a reality soon, fingers crossed. Adam is a very hard working person; and will work hard to achieve his goals. I can't wait to see him on the big screen. I believe in Adam and I think he can achieve anything that he sets his heart and mind to. By the way, I think Adam is one of the best singers in the world. But, he can do it all; why not, others have.

I assume being a "fan" you would want him to have the best of the things, that he wants for himself.

If Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson can act Adam can act as well. He said it numerous times he played different characters since age of ten and his mother put both Adam and Neil in private acting classes. This his first televised acting role which IMO is much easier than playing characters live on theatre stage. We should all be happy for him for having such a great opportunity. It will open up much greater opportunities for him. As Mr. Orland said Adam can do ANYTHING. I am excited that he is getting tons of great reviews from his role on Glee.

As for his family and friends that part of his private life and we shouldn't intervene in his private life. Consider yourself lucky that you get to see their pictures.

He did not play himself in Glee his acting was quite natural and quite good.
With time and experience he will be a very ,very good actor. There may be many nice looking actors but there are room for more.
Adam is very special and can be and do just about anything he sets his mine to.
He is one of the best singer I have ever heard , but that does not mean he cannot do other things. He was terrific on Glee both acting and singing. With more experience he will be an even better actor. He has said many times be is an on the job learner. He certainly good enough to start out on things like Glee and get even better.
I think I will go by the terrific reviews he getting they are professionals who have seen it all.

Oh my, you have got to be kidding; those are Adam's close friends that he considers as family. He is Godfather to Scarlett and Lee Cherry's (his photographer) son. Also, carmit. They are beautiful, loving friends of Adams. You are telling no secrets, all of Adam's fans know about them. They really do consider Adam as family. Took him under their wings when he first came to West Hollywood and was hired at their club. Now I slightly remember someone calling themselves that nick name.

Adam has been acting since he was about 10 years old in theater. I also think a certain amount of "acting" is involved when singing to be able to convey the emotion of the song. When he was on Idol, he listed "actor" as part of his bio on the Idol site. During photo shoots, a certain amount of "acting" is involved.

I'm 12:37 am. Want to also say I can totally see him in a sexy, handsome leading man role someday. I think it will definitely happen when the time is right. I think he's a very good dancer also....his movements are sexy and his body moves very fluidly. I could see him in a movie musical where he can sing, act, and dance.

When you appear in musicals - it's because you can sing.

Whatever Adam wants to do and gets to do, his life, his choices.

However, if he chooses to concentrate on TV, movies or even musicals, the LIVE music world loses one of it's all time best voices/singers/LIVE performers!

Adam belongs on stage SINGING HIS HEART OUT in front of a LIVE audience - and I don't mean Broadway or musicals and theater, not at this point. The WORLD needs Adam Lambert's VOICE in LIVE concerts!

There are a lot of (and I mean a lot!) young good looking male actors out there, but there's only ONE singer with the one in a billion voice and that's Adam.

Glee is just a polished soap with polished (not LIVE) singing. And with more acting roles, there would be less singing.

At this point in his career I hope he concentrates more on MUSIC, on new music and LIVE performances! But like I said in the beginning, his life, his choices.

During the days when MGM musicals ruled - no one minded that the great singers and dancers were often lousy actors. You got the part because of your dancing or singing talent! Watch some of the classic musicals - the acting was very corny.

Go watch a current musical. You know, something from the century Adam works in. You have to be able to sing and act these days.

A question for those yearning for Adam to be in a musical on Broadway or anywhere:

How would we get to see & listen to Adam, we who don't have the money, means or want to travel to the Big Apple?! That would mean no youtube vids, no constant flow of info re Adam's whereabouts and doings. That would mean boredom for us (most probably for him also in the long run)... and no or very few live performances outside the theater. Why would anyone (unless totally selfish and living next door to a Broadway theater) want that for him at his age and at this point of his career... More people, outside LA & NY and the USA deserve a chance to see & hear Adam sing & perform live! Adam and his voice need to be seen & heard LIVE around the WORLD!!! Cd's and dvd's don't cover this man's talents!!!!!!!!!!

I mean the ones who never say anything positive and always say things like "I doubt Adam would ever"... The man has proven you wrong time after time and will continue doing so!

Adam was so amazing on his first appearance on Glee and has received such positive feedback from everyone. So why all the bickering here about the actor label, straight or gay character, etc. Let him bask in the accolades for that performance and we should be jumping with "glee" for his being so well received. Adam has management, friends and family and, of course, himself to decide what he wants to do in his career. We do not decide for him. All I know is that I love his voice and consider him the best in the music industry today. I am looking forward to his third album and any other appearances he has on tv and someday, yes, on the Broadway stage. A movie musical...I don't know because they are not really received that well by the viewing audience. But if Adam were to be in a remake of JCSS for the big screen, I would certainly go to see it.

Actors on long Broadway shows often have time to be guests on TV and do other things as well. I'd love to see Adam get to do a stage show at some point. I think he's got the chops for it. You don't have to have years and years of stage experience to be good at it. He's a natural. We want it all for Adam: hit music, singing tours, stage and screen. I think he'll be able to do all of it in some capacity. It doesn't mean that he'll have to give up his music. He's too big a talent to let go to waste. I think some show business peeps are noticing him a little more now. Hope so.

Too bad this thread got a little snarky. I thought we had gotten past that. I believe in expressing opinions and be allowed to disagree, but not in a nasty way. And it looks like a troll may have found its way back in. Here's to more positive posts and exchanges of ideas.

Adam was on stage since he was 10. I'm so glad that he is pursuing acting jobs, as well. I'd love to see him play a character on Once Upon A Time, Sleepy Hollow, Grim, Once Upon a Time Wonderland, Modern Family...there are endless possibilites on tv. He is a likeable person and a super vocal powerhouse. I love that he is being recognized for the talented man he is.
