I feel Adam, Christina,, Blake, and Usher are all egotists, who only want to remote their own careers. Celo, and Sakira are ok. On idol I will say Jennifer definitely uses the show to promote her career. But Simon, Paula, and randy never did, so their winners and runner ups were the focus.

Age group of contestants between the two shows makes a difference. Idol contestants are between 15 to 28. Whereas The Voice has much older contestants. Idol is my only favorite talent show. The first is always the best. Never watched the other talent shows. And honestly after finding Adam, even Idol isn't that exciting.

@10:16 AM

I agree with you 100%; I tried to watch the voice; but those judges that were mentioned above; in that order just made me not stand it after awhile.

But, the woman that won this time seems to be very talented and a great personality. She and Adam seem to admire each other's talents, so that gives her points in my book. It would be nice if they could do a duet together; would sound great in my opinion.

It's hard for me to watch either show. The Voice doesn't find the right talent...the judges out shine them. AI lost the combination of Paula and Simon. Watching Paula scream with joy and Simon's tough guy act was entertaining! Most of all Paula was really interested in each contestants. IMO they lost the heart of AI when sweet crazy Paula left. After Adam it was never the same. They have yet to find a singer on fire like Adam on The Voice and/or AI.

The Voice may have some great singers as contestants and even as a winner, but their careers seem to go nowhere. It does seem that the judges on The Voice have all "revitalized" their careers in a sense from their appearance on this show. I think Tessanne has a great voice and personality too. Hopefully her music career will do better than the previous winners. And I agree with 10:16AM. After
Adam set the bar so high with his amazing voice and mesmerizing stage presence during season 8, Idol seems to have gone downhill since then. Obviously Mariah and Nikki's feuding did not help one bit when they were on. It's just very tough to make in the music industry today unless you are a boyband or some young teenage singer who appeals to the tween/teen crowd and can sell concert tickets. I'd love to see Adam back on Idol as a mentor again or performing with one of the finalists as he did with Angie Miller.

They get very little promotion after the first album and even less with the second. They have no steady fan base which has slowly built up over time. Unfortunately they're quickly forgotten. In our busy world the audience just moves on to the next good voice.

I know Blake does help his contestants after the show is over. One is one of his backup singers and he has had others open for him. His latest winner will be around and be home a star. She has some growing to do ad a performer. She seems to be getting better promotion than the others. ( Olympic commercial). I really think she is the next Carrie or Taylor.

Who was blake's latest winner

Danielle Bradberry. She never sang in public before trying out for The Voice. She was 16 when she won.

Reasons the Voice is bad:
1) The "stars" fighting to win a trophy - plezzzzzzzzzz.
2) The "battle rounds". So a contestant picks a mentor and then that same mentor sells them out during the battle round. Not fair.
3) No time to get to know the contestants like on Idol as Blake, Christina, etc., spend the whole time showing off. UGH! I really don't want to see the "stars" perform. We know they are great-right? Enough already

AI is not perfect, but puts on a better show. Also more fair to the contestants.

There are parts of each show that I like. I like how AI is focused on the contestants. I love the interaction between the judges on The Voice. And of course I love Simon Cowell on X Factor.

@ 10:03 and any others using the name Adam try to remember their last names. The two Adams have been mixed up a lot of times. Especially in the contest for the sexiest male. We all know it was Adam Lambert not Adam Levine, LOL.

I much prefer that concept and the talent of The Voice, but I have never really been sure what exactly the winner gets out of the experience. I gave up on AI after Adam didn't win it. In the years that followed, it seems as if many of the contracts from the record companies dropped the winners and fairly soon. The Voice is a much newer show, so I really don't know what they do to promote their winners. I just prefer to watch The Voice, and haven't watched AI in a long time.

I admit I still watch all 3 idol, factor and the voice. To me they are all entertaining in thier own ways. But, no-one, no show since has made me follow a contestant like Adam. I have all of carries and Kelly's music but I don't follow them!

I lost interest in Idol when Simon and Paula left, and then Kara left. The subsequent judges have turned me right off watching the show.

I quite like The Voice Australia although they "butter up" the contestants way too much, especially when they lack talent. The back stories play much too great an emphasis. These reality talent shows including Idol etc are supposed to be about how talented a contestant is, not about their background.

American Idol 'died' for me when Simon left and I won't watch the show while Jennifer Lopez is a judge.

I like the concept of The Voice that the judges don't see the contestants when they first sing but I don't like the 'battle ground' rounds and agree, there's too much emphasis on the contestants' 'back stories'.

3 Jan 2015

Another year of Adam's music and songs flew by
His third album will fly
Into the year of the Wood Sheep
Lots of green grass for a bumper reap
A monumental leap onto the next peak
Glamberts anticipating a sneak peek
As for me, Thanking God... I'm still in one piece
Agile and able on my own two feet
For Adam, it had been productive, lucrative
Buying his new house, completing his 3rd album, embarked on QAL
His cup runneth over
Plumes of smoke, brilliant encapsulating lasers
Crowds of Queenberts fill amphitheatres
That unreachable 'Toooo' note on New Year's Eve
As he sings, Somebody To Love, for a timely hitch
Driven with such feverish pitch...gives Big Ben a run to the finish
His 2015 new album will efforesce in a sunny Aquarius niche
Spiralling up a kaleidoscope of hits at his finger-tips lwl!

Happy 2015 !! Everybody !!

Killer Queen

Aristocratic face, out-stretched arms
Golden tassels dangle, black-gloved palms
With golden mic in hand, Killer Queen expounds
Theatrical candour and charm
Reclining...in tight black pants, legs asunder on sofa
From this angle, eyes looking downward, face tapers
Handsomer than ever with swept-up hair
A bottle of champagne in hand, he dares
Dr Brian take a sip of the wine
His partner in crime Dr Brian declines
No...Ignores with a gentle smile
Unfazed, continues playing his guitar
Killer Queen shrugs his shoulders
Stands, strikes a pose...downs the bottle of champagne wine
So what...to Dr Brian; I'll still enjoy my time
Spews it... Did I make you wet ! He chimes lol!

For Adam's 33rd Birthday !!

'The Show Must Go On' in Paris
Whoa ! Adam pushes it to the limit
Dancing hand-signals gesticulate
To the thumping base of Queen immaculate
The synergy of Queen and Adam
Those untouchable notes driven to feverish resonance
Fill the theatre...embedded in Brian's guitar eminence
Checkered pants benignly potent
As Adam galvanises the rousing, spirited audience
In a rippling cascade of glam rock opulence
Wearing the well-fitted Queen crown
Gazes above...thanks Universe for the sound
And when your new album splashes down, Adam
We'll be there to soar it to a new high in rainbow town lwl!

Happy Birthday Adam !!

Sexy Adam slinging like a prowling leopard
Eyes on the prize...his 'Original High'
Basking in the warm sunshine
You are 33 and have done so much already
Wow! Give you ten more years
I can't imagine the possibilities
Flying in the breeze with full-throated ease
Hitting notes that don't exist
The sky's the limit...that's your ticket...Kill it ! lwl!

Handsome bachelor Adam
Whose beauty knows no bounds
His singing, physique, fashions
Take the crown not only on home-ground
Magnanimity and originality compound
His eligibility as most desirable bachelor in town
Maybe his divine ancestral roots
Programmed him foolproof
So he's always able to make a comeback
With style, conviction and truth

Two of a kind...Adam and Brian
They know what's on each other's mind
And that's why they are so insync
They musically telepathise
When Adam gazes at Brian on the Q-walk
Brian steps up close for a heart-to-heart talk
A dramatic moment on the stage round table
Encapsulated in bright converging lasers
As Adam beckons...Who Wants To Live Forever
Brian might have thought: Why not?
It's mind over matter...it's now or never

Adam and Sauli are always so happy
Love to see their faces light up
When they go jogging in the canyon
Have no fear...these dark horses
Always gee-dee-up from the rear
When we least suspect it...they grab it
Success that is...or whatever lwl!
As a matter of fact, they did fight
But eventually see the light
Mmm, Sauli seems to be the stabiliser
Adam the omnipresent equaliser
Let's hope some day, they end up together
Hand in hand, walking across the desert ether
Blossoming in love and sunshine weather lwl!

For auld lang syne my friend
For auld lang syne
We'll take a cup of kindness yet
For days of auld lang syne
Yea, three QAL musketeers part
After a spectacular touching of hearts
QAL now locked in our mind's vault
For occasional viewing...all we've got
One sexy! musketeer soldiers on
Blows his own horn...on wings of song
Adam...bring it on, you're the bomb!
Dusk to dawn...game on!

First parting, now second
The third forthcoming
Isn't it nice...the partings
Never seem ending...

The expectant crowd had waited this emergence
As Adam appears from under the flying curtain
Crouching tiger hidden dragon springs into action
'One Vision' fires up its fierce rock reverberation
Echoing across the massive stadium
All good things soon come to an end
QAL take their final bows
Paving the way for Adam to usher in his Original High
Fluttering its wings, his 3rd album bursts into life
Soars like the dragon twisting and turning in the sky
With a courageous smile, waves...I've arrived !

Running on Runyon
This handsome chameleon
Clutching his ubiquitous water-bottle
Looking rather engrossed
Momentarily, it will take his mind off
Before embarking on the next course
Original High the apple of his eye
Close to his heart, his ultimate design
I have complete faith it'll rise
Climb and twine on the international vine

Based on Ghost Town black/white posted picture...

Bad boy Adam
Looking so handsome
What's on your mind
So deep in thought
Your inquiring eyes, troubled
But you're such a good actor
With all the success
Piling up one after another
Your hair hanging down
All set for the showdown
'Now I know my heart is Ghost Town...'

He doesn't look like a bad boy
More like a movie hero
Like being followed
So he stands behind some poles
Hey watch it...he has black-belt kungfu
It's called the praying-mantis hook
Using full-throttle, lungs and throat
Beware...it shatters, explodes
Inevitably, your heart he ropes lwl!

One more time, Adam seizes the spotlight
Rides into Ghost Town on a stallion one night
Knight of the Night in full white
Soars into the Ellen limelight
Oooh-la-la free as a kite
Blowing in the wind
Tum tum tum amid ghostly sprite lwl!
