Ok, stupid question alert: Has this CD been out for many years, or relatively recently? And I didn't think there were that many people in the UK!

Queen's Greatest Hits was released 1981, said Dr Bri on the vid.

I have a CD of this record that is digitally remastered @1994.

He, he. There are over 8 million people in London alone, the est. population of UK is over 63 million...

@4:10 PM I'm a USA citizen and I have 4 Queen Albums. I'm sure they count.

This is a big deal, it is now the biggest selling album in UK history.

"Queen's Greatest Hits is first album to sell 6 million UK copies

One in three families now owns a copy of Queen's Greatest Hits, which has become the first album to shift six million copies in the UK

British rock band Queen's Greatest Hits has become the first album to reach six million UK copies sold.

The 1981 compilation album, which features songs such as We Will Rock You and Bohemian Rhapsody, has beaten records by Abba, The Beatles and Adele to the six million sales mark, according to figures from the Official Charts Company."

4:10 pm, it has been out since 1981

5:59, yours don't count in the 6 million, that is UK only. The Greatest Hits album did sell 25 million internationally though.

I'm 4:10 pm ...thanks to all for the great info. I guess if I had listened to the short clip first I would've known when it was released, huh? ;)

Wow! Had no idea of the population in the UK. Hope to be able to visit there someday.

I also bought Queen's Greatest Hit cd because of Adam's performances with them. I wasn't really a fan of Queen back in the day, but after watching a documentary about Freddy Mercury and then seeing Adam with them in those European concert vids, I was hooked. Who Wants to Live Forever is my favorite song and I love the mutual respect and admiration that Brian, Roger and Adam have for each other. Maybe a Queenbert concert will become a reality this year along with the release of Adam's new album.

JAK here.....For me musically, the 80's were great because of Freddie Mercury with Queen....you know their songs. Plus Steve Perry with Journey....Don't Stop Believing, Anyway You Want It and a dozen others.
Those two guys could really sing and the bands were great. Having this resurgence of Queen with Adam has been so exciting for me. I do hope a tour is a possibility.
