Excellent. This doesn't need to mean anything at all except interest in a cool song! The Sosh tweet doesn't have to indicate anything big, or anything further than just seeing if it gets hits. Let's just enjoy LMD being on any kind of radar anywhere at all. A win/win. Quite frankly, Adam's association at all with Aviici is win/win. TGIF everyone.

I will again support Avicii after he makes good on his promise to release LMD as a single. Fool me once shame on Tim, fool me twice, shame on me. I hate being suckered.

8:38, I agree and so try to look at the positive side of Avicii's approach to LMD--an abridged version could just be a teaser to guage interest in an LMD single.
I think Avicii is realizing the groundswell of support for this song, and even those who are not informed about the identity of the singer recognize Adam's distinctive powerful and instinctive approach to songs. Maybe the mystery aspect of not giving credit to the performers of the True album is meant to pique the curiosity of listeners.
If so, mission accomplished, as there many comments inquiring and responding to the question.
On another topic, watched Idol's HCJr's performance of two songs, one for me was soporific, another, a bit better, but now understand his aversion to bombast and big. I don't believe he has the range or power to venture there.

I see nothing to indicate that the way Avicii treats LMD is helping Adam.

I wonder if the majority of the 100,000 are Adam fans and did this go up tremendously after Shoshanna's tweet.

Also, don't forget to honor Adam's tweet for us to watch the Iheart video of him and Queen!!

Does the person whose Official Vevo account it is get paid for by amount of views?

Anonymous said...

Someone said that Adam gets paid for each view. ?????

Anonymous said...

I think it goes the Official Account holder. Does anyone know where we can check for this information? Just curious.

@9:31, then you are interested only in keeping your blinders on. You are of course, as always, entitled to your opinion... but opinions too, although more subjective than objective by nature, can be well informed. The mere fact that Adam's name ever got mentioned in conjunction with the True album is a win, and "helps" Adam. I could go on and on making a case, but I think that probably you, and people like 9:26am, are not interested in looking at things with an open mind and a willingness to consider and digest certain factors. This is a fansite, all opinions welcome, I hope I have stated mine respectfully. And my bottom line, my own personal POV, Avicii has been one of the hottest artists/acts on the planets recently (US maybe the least popularity, but the world is big) and to have been a collaborator with him can only be a win/win, regardless of that collaboration resulting in a chart topper or not. Also, with all due respect 9:31, to paraphrase you... I see no indication that the way some Adam fans treat Avicii is helping Adam. EDM may be on the downward slope in its popularity, but this dude, Tim, is still red hot, and to not appreciate the value of a good working connection between him and Adam Lambert, and a PUBLIC connection at that, is to be awfully short-sighted. (If the comments above are meant only to inflame and instigate, well then the joke is on me, if they are made, as I feel they are, but a true sincere Adam fan, I invite you to look at the bigger picture). Peace.

I heard only Avicii gets paid for view from his VEVO Account??

Who cares whether or not only Avicii gets paid from Vevo views. This can be good news for Adam.

Avicii is still closing his shows with LMD. This video may be gauging interest before they chose the next single.

Aloe Blacc (from Wake Me Up) has a CD out now. I saw it on the endcap at Target. I seriously doubt it would have been there without being featured on an Avicii song.

If it helps bring Adam to the attention of more people, I will replay the Vevo. Adam will definitely get paid on sales of the song and by Avicii fans liking Adam and buying his next CD.

Look long term, not short term. It's about Adam.

9:26, and are you still holding a grudge against Adam for not making your favorite song from Trespassing a single? See my point?

Anonymous said...

This can only be a positive thing (regardless of personal tastes in music and opinions on Adam's career)!

Aloe Blacc is going tone a mentor on The Voice.
He has also performed his song in DWTS last season.

11:34
What?!!!! What are his credentials?!?!
All that based on singing one song on somebody else's record.... Oh, brother!
Oh sorry, I guess those singing on Hey Brother must be next... lol.

Maybe EDM is losing popularity in the U.S. (really?), but it's alive and flourishing in many other parts of the world.

1:10 Not sure what kind of credentials would be necessary, but the man has an awesome voice. I'm sure Avicii didn't just walk down the street and randomly choose someone to sing one of his songs. I wish Aloe all the best.

This is Adam Lambert fan site and I hold the candle for Adam! So my scale of awesome voices includes only a few singers/performers of the same caliber as Adam.
ADAM has AWESOME voice, Aloe B does not. And Njmo!
