Oops, I don't think he won, although a lot of people think he did. Even the ones who know he did not, don't remember who did, LOL

Anonymous said...

He is a Sure Fire Winner! I don't remember who won even Oscars couple of months ago. Why winning a title is everything for some? One's quality of life is much more important than trophies, awards, medals, etc. it's a nice accomplishment to have them but there are other important qualities that make a person a winner in life.

Anonymous said...

Lot's of people assume Adam won, but this is a first saying he was there when Adam won! Wow! Maybe it was something other than Idol.

Anonymous said...

LOL, glad he was there when Adam "won." :)

Anonymous said...

maybe the drinks were Kickin' IN and the guy really thought he heard the name Adam Lambert instead of that other guy.

Anonymous said...

I think Teddy is a body builder, may not be a big drinker.

Adam was the moral and true winner of American Idol S8, still is!

Good on ya, Teddy B!

Anonymous said...

Hey! I was there when Adam won!!! I remember the other guy saying that Adam was the winner... O-o

This S8 win-or-didn't-win fiasco still remains a rather mystifying, contentious talked-about topic. Like I recollected this incident before...about a person requesting I added a tv channel; I seized the opportunity and asked him who won American Idol that year. And within the next second he said Adam Lambert. I chuckled and he knew he got the wrong answer and rectified it by saying, oh he came in second. lol! Well Adam's S8 title is still intact and standing tall as The Runner-Up! Perhaps this is how events get recorded in history book; when people refuse to let them dissipate. If they need a title for this historic event...how about, The S8 Fiasco. Yea Adam got robbed real and proper and this is not the same as whining over spilt milk, long-past. I still think it's left dangling with a rather dubious question-mark. Well, but real genius can never be swept under the rug, somehow it finds its way out into the open. But as in everything, some good does emerge from the abyss of bad; like Adam meeting Queen, a spectacular turn of events which too will go down in the music history of AdamQueen. Being honest and transparent is still my favoured and surest bet.

Queen had heard of Adam during the season 8, they listened to him singing, and when asked if they would be part of Idol Finale they said they would if Adam was going to be in the final 2. Which he was, and everyone thought he would win. Queen would never have come if it wasn't expected that Adam would win, and neither would KISS. Neither bands had anything in common with Kris Allen
who actually did win, sort of. Adam fit right in with both bands, and Kris was way out of his league, and more of a country singer.

Anonymous said...

Yours is a rather interesting angle of looking at it. Yea, both these rock bands would've been impressed by Adam's cover of Whole Lotta Love and all his other songs.

maybe the season 8 finale was fixed like this past presidental election. Where's the leather shoe?

Anonymous said...

It was fixed to a point. The company that issued the cell phones or what ever they were, enabled the voters to vote 10 times for 1 click. They were issued only in Kris Allen's state. This was not found out til later, and nothing could be done about it, also was no proof, that Adam would have won anyway. My thought was AI at that time would never have had an American Idol gay person win. I think they would now, but thanks to Adam, gays are much more accepted now. He has been a pioneer in this area.

Anonymous said...

Yea I do think Adam made a significant impact by being his natural self; which inspired others to feel okay about their true gender orientation; many celebrities as I recall felt comfortable enough to openly state so. It's strange that at this day and age, of space explorations and computer creativity that people can't get past this scientifically proven natural phenomenon.

I think all sour grapes about Season 8 and accusations of cheating and denigrating Kris Allen shows what Adams fans are like. It's shameful. Adam has never been anything but gracious and his family and Kris' family were very cordial to each other. Kris and Adam were not and are not enemies. They are both kind hearted. If there was anything shady about the win, Kris had nothing to do with it. You saw yourself his surprise and his "Adam should have won this". Would Adams career have been further along with that title? no.

I'm not sure the American public didn't defeat Adam by vote. Kris was a cute puppy type competing with a dazzling performer that maybe America didn't think represented America, mainstream, middle of the road.
Think about the list of Idol winners that America has voted in as Am. idol. Was anybody dazzling? I can't think of one. A few exceptional voices, but no dazzle anywhere. It wasn't a Best Singer contest, Most Original Performer or Sexiest or Most Exciting contest.
It's a most red white and blue, this is what America looks like contest. That year it was the cute guy from Arkansas a hometown type of shy charmer.

Be nice, be fair. Forget that Adam didn't get the worthless title. He won a new career and opportunity to try to succeed. Be supporters of Adam not detractors of Kris. Can you be that grown up? Annie

Even though Adam did not win Idol Season 8, he has done extremely well for himself with his career path. He is an international star and will be performing with Queen in a summer concert series that is getting a lot of promo and doing well with ticket sales. So what is happening with Kris Allen's music career. He seems to be a nice guy, family man and continuing with writing and performing. I wonder how many people actually remember his name from that season as the winner. Idol provided the platform for Adam that opened the door to his professional music career, two albums, touring and now Queen. It's because of Idol that I became and Adam Lambert fan. I'd say he has done very well for himself in spite of the fact that he did not win the title. There are any number of actors and singers who win the Grammy or an Oscar and never go on to do much else after that. Adam is one individual who will have longevity in the music world and achieve the ultimate recognition and success that he so deserves.

The past presidential election was fixed - yes I agree, but the fix didn't work. No matter how difficult the Republican states made it for people to vote, the citizens of all races stood in lines for over 8 hours in many states to see that their vote counted. They did not want that smiling mannequin who expressed his disdain for 47% of the citizens of this country to win. They didn't trust the shallow empty suit who wore jeans in one city to appear to be one of the good old boys and wore another appropriate outfit in a vain attempt to fit in to another community rally.
Speeches that waffled all over the spectrum to please each crowd. Thank God and the citizens of the US we weren't stuck with that pompous poser - he may have looked the most presidential of the lot the Republicans had to choose from , but he was an attractive empty shell. Yes the fix was in and it failed. But the Republicans have succeeded in blocking almost 100% of the programs proposed by the current President to help the citizens of this country. Out of spite and a determination to stop any forward movement.. This week, the equal pay for women! A shining moment again for the Republican obstructionists.

Nobody is sayin that Adam and his family are not decent people, or that Kris Allen and his family are not decent people. Adam was best friends with Kris. No one said Kris Allen did anything shady to win. It was the phone company that issued the special cell phones for voting. I am sure the people voting did not know that Arkansas was the only state these were issued to. Nobody is saying anything bad about Kris, come off of your high horse, and reread the comment. We all know how well Adam has done, if he had come in 5th or 6th, he would still have been successful. He has a super talent that will not be denied. We all know winning does not garuntee success.

Anonymous said...

38.000,000 votes in his own state leaves less than 12.000, 000 all over America. No he would not have won had it not been for the crap going on in his own home town. Not to mention the the total mess than went on at the old chicken place giving away money and prizes to make sure he won against the way more talented gay guy. Adam career is much healthier done much better and so much more to come. Nothing against Kris and it was not his fault. But there are just those few fans still backing Kris that are the nastiest people I have ever seen they come here and trash Adam all the time and all over the Internet. Sure from his home town sorry but glamberts have never acted as awful and degrading as these so called fans of Kris have trashed Adam and his fans 100 times more than Glamberts have Kris.

Anonymous said...

To my knowledge Kris Allen is a kind and decent person. He has had to live with the possibility that people , his own fans were unscrupulous, about the voting. He is a good Christian family man, and nobody should put him down in any way at all. But the true winner could not be held back, and Adam has proven that his talent is huge, despite coming in second.

Anonymous said...

The Runner-Up reigns. I actually like his S8 title...not just an ordinary runner-up; it must be emphasised...The Runner-Up! lwl! Yes I agree, honours, medals, prizes are not the end-alls and be-alls of things. Still when an honour or prize has been stolen...it remains stolen! The other person involved is not the problem in this fiasco but not so sure if he got wind or not, regarding the expedited voting by his adamant camp. The fact of the matter is there have been findings regarding the voting discrepancy. Adam did have his eyes on the prize but the prize got snatched from under his nose. lol! But the best part was Adam shook it off like water from a duck's back.

Lammy, I think being Runner Up, was good for Adam, he took it graciously and met the challenge head on. He has proven his case, and to the victor goes the spoils. Hurrah for Adam, and all the success he has had since S8, and all the success that is in his future. God bless both Adam and Kris.

This garbage is being spouted by a crazy person. Don't fall for her crazy conspiracy theory garbage.

As for Queen and Kiss, they would have been booked quite some time before the final two were known. American Idol has a history of booking huge acts for the finale.

Anonymous said...

Lammy, another thought, I don't think Kris wanted the kind of success that Adam has. He is a married man with a child, success has it's downside too. I think Kris would rather be with family more, Adam has found out that being away from home so much is not all fun. I think it was the major reason for Adam's break up with Sauli. Very hard to have any kind of partnership with one or other always on the road. I am sure Kris is quite satisfied with the success he has, on a much lower level than Adam

KK and her cray bullshit conspiracy.

Anonymous said...

@10:27
Then you have not followed interviews of Brian May. This was not speculation, it came from Brians own mouth. Queen did not agree to come until about the last few weeks of S8. These comments on here have been made by several different people, I know because I only commented twice. I don't know about KISS, they might have been booked earlier. Check your facts, before you spout off about other peoples knowledge. Most of us have listened to and followed Queen since they became part of Adam's life.

Yes family-wise, it's better not to be on the road too much; will be an absentee Dad. I liked Kris all through S8; he can sing with a good range and a strong mellow tenor; also plays the piano and guitar, very versatile musician. It would be better if he had been contesting in S9. It was obvious he was overshadowed by Adam and that partly resulted in the fiasco, because his camp wanted him to win so badly for whatever the reasons. It would also have been better for Kris to be the runner-up instead of the winner. His people did not help him by a forced win. If I'm not mistaken, he said he did not mind at all being a runner-up to Adam. Adam might have asked Kris to open his GNT concerts alongside Allison if there wasn't this fan animosity sparked by the S8 result. These three gelled well as friends and artists.

As for me, I just have to quote a Queen fan in UK who after watching the Queenbert concert in Hammersmith London screamed:
"AND THIS ADAM LAMBERT LOST AMERICAN IDOL???
WHO THE F____ WON, JESUS CHRIST????"
LOLOLOL!!!

Anonymous said...

Yea Jesus would have sung, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Prayer, O Holy Night and Psalm 23. lwl! Maybe He might have rocked it up a notch. lwl! And the choir of Angels would give Him a flying ovation. Mmm, Adam would then have to content himself as the rightful runner-up. lwl!

The message was - quit being crybabies and rude. move on. Adam has. Let it go. Constantly harping "he was robbed" makes us fans look bad and may reflect on Adam

No shoe for you; the truth already hit you in the face; you may think the Presidential election was fixed; oh yes; it almost was; by the tactics of some, by the means of voter suppression; but, the human spirit won out. Unfortunately, you chose to bring politics on to Adam's fan blog site; Big mistake; but, I could not let your ridiculous remark stand.

I think the last thing Adam would want is to turn his fan site into a political form. We get enough of that crap on radio and Television!!!!

Thanks...very happy to note we think exactly the same regarding this S8 matter. And I think it's okay to talk about it in a healthy discussion. No one is harping, just a kind of recollection; all is forgiven and Adam wasn't the least bit affected by the whole thing. More like, those of us watching it 'live' that fateful night just couldn't believe what took place, because we had followed the whole process from 'Mama'. Perhaps that's why the impression was so deeply etched. Thanks.

If KK's wacko theory had any validity to it the main stream media would have picked it up and ran with it. Instead the few who reported on it pointed out all the misinformation in KK's story. A true scandal on voting on Idol would have been irresistible to the media.

Repeating that crazy conspiracy theory just makes Adam and his fans look like crazy sore losers.

Klosh is crazy as a loon.

Nutty as a fruitcake.

Anonymous said...

I don't appreciate being considered a crazy nut for being a fan of Adam. But we have made ourselves look foolish and petty. Whiny crybabies. The stolen idol scandal would have rocked the country If there had been a whiff of PROOF! Rumor - a circulating story of uncertain or doubtful truth.

Sort of like Obama was born in Kenya, there are alien bodies preserved in Roswell, N.M., the Easter Bunny hides colored eggs and allowing guns to be carried into bars, churches, Wal Mart and movie theaters will mean fewer deaths by gunfire and make us all safer.

All this business about Kris winning Idol, the votes being fixed etc. is such old news. Why even bring it up at this point? Both Kris and Adam have gone on to totally different kinds of music careers achieving a different degree of recognition and success. Adam has never said anything negative at all about Kris and vice versa. You could see a genuine friendship grow between them when they were contestants on Idol and during the tour. Idol gave us Adam and that's all that really matters. The rest as they say is history.

Anonymous said...

I take exception to the alien bodies buried in Roswell, NM comment.

I agree with what you posted. I, and my family and my co-workers were among those who followed Adam from the word "mama" and were in complete shock at the outcome of that voting. I' m not saying anything negative about KA and Adam's reaction (seen on all media) was authentic happiness for Kris. Adam has the soul of an Angel.
To say this event was "deeply etched" is so true for me.

I thought we, as Adam fans, were finally done talking about this AT&T fiasco but I guess not. I read this was not a rumor but true that this phone company supplied "super voting" phones to voting parties in Arkansas, Kris' state, to bump up the votes. 38 million votes from that small state....amazing.

We don't have to worry about Adam. He's doing beautifully.

I just want to say that I am so very pleased about two things in this thread.

One is that there was a good discussion with civility in full use. Cool.

Two is that there were a few more lengthy posts and nobody became upset by that and posted passive aggressive comments about those posts and/or posters. Gosh, I get so annoyed when posters get ragged on for taking some extra lines (even a lot of extra lines) to express themselves. Not so here. Cool.

Anonymous said...

There is a poster on here that seems to be posting over and over again about how that think that Kerry K. is a wacko and so many other terrible names. Just because a person does not agree with someone; is no reason to try and tear that person's reputation to threads. As quite as it may be kept; she had and have quite a few supporters that believed the same as she did. She put her reputation on the line because she believed so strongly; and did much research and even wrote a book, I believe about it.

The media is quite lazy; they did not care if Adam won or not for the most part; they did not think it was that important to check or do research on, so why would they invest in it. Especially since Adam Lambert was ok with it, and did not bother to fight it.

Adam is happy; so time to move on; in my opinion.

But, no need to continue to shoot the messenger so to speak. Just let it go. Especially the poster saying the same hateful things about Kerry K; over and over again; especially since the person is not here to give their side of the story. Enough already!!!!

Very nice picture of Adam and the other gentleman.

I bet Adam is so happy about his upcoming tour. I know I am very happy for him. All these Television commercials coming up. Karma is giving Adam his dues. He kept the faith and it is paying off.

All of his hard working is coming to fruition. He said that 2014 would be full of surprises for his fans; and our dear man was not kidding. I believe the best is yet to come. Buckle your seat belts it's going to be quite an exciting ride!!!!!

Saw the car commercial; so cute and that sexy voiced man singing Shady. Felt so proud of Adam. Made me want to buy the car, ha ha!

Are you trying to tell the children that Mrs. Easter Bunny does not color those eggs before Mr. Easter Bunny delivers them? I don't think that you can put the fact that Idol may not have been on the level when Adam did not win for whatever reason on the same level with the racist nut cases lying about President Obama's place of Birth; and the fact that he is a United States Citizen, along with the other important things you mentioned! Not in the same category in my opinion!!

Anonymous said...

I am trying to wait patiently for the concerts; but it is getting so hard. So wonderful to have this to look forward to. Can't wait to see Adam for the first time in person. Adam is such a great guy, he deserves all the wonderful things that are coming his way!

Anonymous said...

1:08 PM. If there is anyone under the age of 6 reading this thread, I apologize for doubting the existence of the Easter Bunny.

Anonymous said...

12:39, even most of the Adam fandom thinks Kerry Klosch is crazy. And if the media had one hint it was true and a scandal was there they would have torn Idol apart reporting on it.

Anonymous said...

12:39 PM, so if there are things written that you disagree with it must all have been written by one person? Okaaayyyy then.

Anonymous said...

Of course it was true, the media could care less about AI or Adam for that matter. AT&T hushed it up. Simon Cowell was leaving an interview, and was asked who he thought should have won S8, he answered Adam.

Anonymous said...

I love the man wholeheartedly and I can't wait for all the exciting things that lie ahead! Idol is history for me, but I will always be thankful for the platform it provided for our man.

Anonymous said...

American Idol is still all over the news. We saw it with all the stories on who might be a judge and then judges not getting along. If there had been a hint of a voting scandal you can bet the news would have exploited that. Especially entertainment and music news.

But this is old news. Adam has excelled. Why bring it up again and again?

Anonymous said...

I've been watching Idol on and off this season and not one of the contestants excites me the way Adam did as he performed each week. They lack enthusiasm and stage presence, maybe because they are so young and inexperienced. And I am tired of seeing all those closeup shots of JLO; where are the closeups for Harry and Keith? Even though Adam did not win Idol, he is still a winner in so many other ways because of his amazing vocal talent, mesmerizing stage presence, charisma and style. And he will be performing with Queen this summer all across the country and in the Far East. If it weren't for his appearances on Idol, we may never have heard of Adam Lambert and seen him develop into the international star that he has become. Whatever did or did not happen is in the past and should stay there. It's not that important.

glitzylady said...

I've stopped being upset that Adam didn't "win" American Idol Season 8.

Well. Mostly.

Other than the fact that he SHOULD have won on talent, stage presence, voice, etc...........alone........ But we know that isn't the way it works, and its not not first time that's happened.. And probably not the last...

So no point really in rehashing it.. Adam is doing very well, MANY MANY people think he DID win... because for all intents and purposes, he did exactly that...

Although I do have to say, the air was somewhat "blue" at my house after the winner was announced....... And it wasn't just me: my husband was NOT. AMUSED. AT. ALL. "WHAAAAT????!!!???".

But I have no hard feelings re Kris... Whatever happened, happened.. I wasn't actually overly surprised by the results, knowing how things might very well go..... There was a lot of speculation that the result would be exactly that, due to one thing and another... But I was hoping for the result to be based on talent, etc.. Not that Kris wasn't talented, because he is.. But not going there..........................................

But it doesn't matter now. It's really a popularity contest to be completely honest.. With a few other factors thrown in, in the case of Adam and Kris..

I don't discount what Kerry K. came up with in her book. Because who knows...... And I'm sure not going to insult her. She's not a stupid person by any definition.

The bottom line is this: Adam did VERY well, something that shocked even HIM actually, because he didn't think he'd make it THAT far, from all that he's said. All these 5 years since Idol, he has said time and time again, that he is eternally grateful for the opportunities that Idol opened up for him.. I doubt very much that he agonizes over it as much as some of his fans do...

I'm just happy that Idol was around long enough to give us Adam Lambert!! Because that's REALLLLLY what matters to me.. and I assume, to Adam himself. He's one good guy who has never uttered one unkind word about Idol, or about Kris...

He's an excellent example for us to follow, at least in my book..... Very classy, generous and kind (not to mention extremely talented...) man...

Thank you! The whole discussion was not intentionally rigged up. It was brought on by the thread picture and a tweet that Adam apparently won AI. A touchy subject that snowballed and not done to spite anyone.
Adam has in fact got more than he expected; and that is being fair to AI which launched him world renown.
CT, one thing though still lurks in my mind. Would Adam have ended his crowning song with a piercing wail-scream or just a gentle shimmering vibrato...I made it! Would he have teared? He did work very hard on AI. We will never know, will we? That I maintain remains stolen.

But, for the most part, using lol or lwl after almost every sentence is not only maddening, but so annoying. I've been wanting to say this for a long time..you said it for me. If a statement is truly funny, I can see using lol on occasion, but constantly it is not at all appropriate after some of her not so funny remarks and silly poems. And, no Lam-my, I am not your "stalker"..just my opinion of annoyance, along with others on this site who have also mentioned, quite often in fact, that when you don't agree with someone's opinion, you must argue your point with them so that you can always be right..nuf said on the subject..now back to enjoying reading info on Adam..

I don't mean to be passive aggressive here with what I am about to say, but I personally do understand why somebody would want to take Lam-my to task for being so resistant to absorbing and digesting other people's points when someone engages here about an issue, I totally get that, have at it, it's fair imho... but maybe we don't need to be quite so unkind about other posters' writings in general.
