One day I would love to see ADAM LAMBERT name bold on a 18 wheeler glitter truck going from west coast to east coast. It would a good promo for his third album.

I would surely crash if I happened upon that semi.

I'd bet on Queen.

What's going on with the proofreading here again?

Anonymous said...

11:05, Katy Perry already did that.

Truck-n-roll...on with the show
'Adam Lambert' must be marked more bold
He's after all the new-crowned King lwl!
In the game of chess, the king is the one to beat
Though the queen, more fluid and upbeat
This truck looks really long
Perhaps to contain all the dings and dongs
To produce those glam Queen songs
That Adam wails to the throng
So all still going strong...extraordinaire
Real humble guys with no airs
But I think QueenBert is a tremendous undertaking
Adam strongman will be able to handle it
Roger surprises me, still so powerful with his drums
A relaible standby in his son
I like Rufus' soulful bass drums
Brian seems so energised, his face etched in smiles
Of satisfaction...so Truck-n-Roll go go go...
Rain or shine you're QueenBert's indispensable backbone

I' obsessed with Stone Cold Crazy. Love Adam's rendition better than the original. Even the musical arrangement of Queen now is better than the original. Thanks to 21st Century technology, Queen music is resuscitated in a great possible way with today's technological wonder of sound and light.

Thank you all for the links to the Dallas concert.
I think as of now, WWTLF belongs solely to Adam. I saw Freddie's version attached and so wanted to once and for all see the difference. Adam hit it off the park and the song now belongs to Adam. Freddie's version is powerful but when hitting the last few high notes, it was slightly quavering and a bit shouting. In this case, it's a fair comparison as the song is written by neither of them; by Brian. But Freddie is indeed genius though.

Not watching any more videos until after I've seen QAL live.

I don't think Who Wants To Live Forever now belongs to Adam but of course, you're entitled to your opinion.

Thanks to all who posted Dallas pics and videos. Loving Adam and loving Queen.

I love Adam, I love Queen and I love Queen's songs but I prefer Adam singing his own songs and that's NOT a criticism.

[PHOTOS] Queen + Adam Lambert and Fans Glam it Up in Houston

Another review from Houston:

Queen with Adam Lambert brought glam spectacle, cherished songs

It was clear Lambert would not have trouble defending his platform-booted, leather-clad theatricality, his tongue-in-cheek attitude, or his wide-ranging vocal ability. By the time he wrapped up "Somebody to Love" with its well-placed, just-the-right-amount runs, the crowd was sold.

With as many costume changes as one might expect of Cher, Lambert hammed it up glam rock style with everything from leather to fringe to a leopardskin suit he dared to pair with a gold crown.

The 23-song set list included hits "Another One Bites the Dust," the Queen/David Bowie duet "Under Pressure," which Lambert performed with drummer Roger Taylor, and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," ending in its own crazy, frenetic, rockabilly jam. The goosebump-inducing ballads "Love Kills" and "Who Wants to Live Forever" were where Lambert truly showcased his chops: a huge vocal range, especially when climbing deftly into the upper registers.

Don't quite like the term "vocal gymnastics" though I like the physical gymnastics. Perhaps Adam's vocals are very fluid more like running water, sometimes waterfall lwl! or light as air/ether.

Dr Bri also tweeted that Dallas was the best Queen concert since 1986!!!!

What happened in Dallas better NOT stay in Dallas!!!

LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!
LOVE DR.BRI, ROGER, NEIL, SPIKE, RUFUS - MOST OF ALL LOVE ADAM!!!

LOVE THIS TOUR!!!!!!!

(no apologies for shouting; felt so good!!!!)

Yes Brian...it all started with Mama! The people here always say: We followed him from his first note...Mama. lwl! Actually he sang Michael Jackson's, I Wanna Rock With You first...so I should say I followed him from his first note, I Wanna Rock With You...quite apt, this is exactly what he's doing. Then Simon said he wanted to hear some more and so Adam sang...Mama I killed a man...lwl! This sure is some kind of QueenBert destiny waiting to explode onto the music scene. lwl!

This is what Dr Brian tweeted:

Dr. Brian May ‏@DrBrianMay · 2h

DALLAS folks – I believe tonight you saw the finest Queen show since 1986.

Yea I just got to the Dallas videos...the theatre acoustics is brilliant, and Adam hit the top of his range in the last note of The Show Must Go On...I actually said Whoa! out loud.

Copied and pasted the link you posted but a message keeps coming up '404: Page not found .......'

I absolutely love Dr.Brian's remark about Adam that "he is a gift from God". That really says it all right there. I don't need any other review or comments.

11:50 - 12:08, please put them in one comment next time.

On the Billboard.com issue, I just voted til I got kicked off - seems like about 50 times. When I left, Adam was at 51.09. It had gone up .03 since I started voting so you can see we are making a difference. This is about US AS FANS so VOTE, VOTE, VOTE. We have our pride, don't we???????????

A microcephalous ... what utter rubbish. "Bohemian Rhapsody" is hailed as one of the greatest songs of all time, and rightly so.

Thanks - I tried that but it still came up with the same message. :-(((((

I managed to open that article with Google Chrome and what deplorable article it is. Perhaps his preferred songs are along the lines of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". Queen has sold 300 million albums - I think that says it all.

WOW...NO ONE WILL EVER BE ABLE TO REPLACE ADAM LAMBERT !!!

Anonymous said...

@6:39 AM
And that's what you and thousands of others will be saying if anyone sings Adam songs only in concert. The boot will be on the other foot, so to speak.

Anonymous said...

6:43 AM
I found the article as per my post at 6:32AM.

Anonymous said...

And no one will ever be able to replace Freddie Mercury.

GLb said...

@5:59 AM

Hahaha. My English failed me again? That was my proposal as a description of the man who wrote the article. He uses nicer words like... Or not.

Anonymous said...

GLb
Excellent word to describe him. He's so bitter about such a successful band.

GLb said...

Bitter about or bitten by... something. :-)

Anonymous said...

OT sorta! Has anyone seen Adam's latest Instrgram? Earth tones..... Think he is trying to tell us something. Maybe a soon "natural" Adam?

Anonymous said...

Oh, that's Instagram :)

Anonymous said...

7:14 AM
Bitten by the bitter bug .... ;p

Anonymous said...

@ 7:14 AM
'Earth tones' COULD mean he's going to revert to his natural coloring but he's said he really likes his hair black.

That Las Vegas review posted above, at 1:42 AM, is basically reflection of my QAL in LV experience. Well written article.

I had know idea that Adam's mom was pushing Adam and Neil, into show business when they were children. Adam said Neil got more of the commercials than he did. But they both auditioned for a lot of stuff as children.
