This QueenBert stint has made Adam very happy and the photos show a sense of inner peace in his expressions, more in control. As for Brian I think Adam, to a great extent brought a kind of closure to Brian who now seems more able to loosen up and perhaps more or less let Freddie go. Like he said he feels his self more with Adam though he loved Freddie a lot, also for steering Queen to optimum in their music. Yea it's a soft closure for Brian and Roger who refuse to let Queen music slide into obscurity. And Adam came right into their faces for the task uppermost on their minds. I'm saying this through actual observations on QueenBert concerts/videos, all of them starting with the first one; where Brian had to walk to the back on stage to wipe tears after he teared in front of the audience...after Adam sang We Will Rock You and Who Wants To Live Forever. But nowadays, Brian smiles a lot; which he barely did on previous gigs, even on AI/S8, he looked down most of the time, yea one reason is he has to play his guitar. About Brian feeling more his self...I think we know why; Adam keeps teasing him with respect ! on stage, like his genuine bows to Brian; that sort of respect accentuates Brian's realisation of himself, in front of huge audiences. Adam even jiggles his tongue at him. lwl! Whereas Freddie sort of left them in the background much of the time on stage...different styles.
So perhaps, the reviews should play down rather than highlight, the cliché that Adam can't fill Freddie's shoes or he's no Freddie...in my opinion he has done more than that both in his performances and injecting back into Queen its original spirit with Freddie.
