It's time to CELEBRATE our differences and what better way than it to be in music which is a ladder to our souls. Music elevates us, motivates us, and bring us together.

So much interesting discussion. I love it. Following Adam has been for me a real learning curve.

Sounds good Adam, but don't expect everyone to agree with you. We live in a strange world, and some people are not as free as others. Even USA in parts will not agree with this freedom, may be in a perfect world. We have freedom to our own thoughts, likes and dislikes. Music will not bring us all together, sounds good, but won't happen. I am not disagreeing with this thought, but I am a very small voice.
Look at the people who won't accept Adam singing Freddies songs, a lot have, and a lot have not. This is just a pipe dream that music will bring us all on to the same page. There is some music I will never accept.

There are a lot of gays, coming out now, where before they were afraid to, because it would hurt their career. It is being somewhat more excepted, but definitely not by all, and music will not change that. I agree that if someone has a talent, they should be judged on that talent, and not their sexuality. But that will not happen everywhere.

Adam, you are such a free spirit, and hopefully the tide is turning in that direction. However, living in DC which is extremely diverse, I still hear so much prejudice around me everyday. Blacks, Latinos, Jews, but not as much homophobia. That is one community that I feel has really moved forward. It doesn't hurt that there are a lot of gays in high places and with a lot of power. To be blunt, there is so much talent there. It's disappointing at times when I hear some remarks and I do speak out, and call people out, even at work. That's my little way of fighting the battle of having a more tolerant society, but we are very far from that. Very sad.

This is no different then most of Adams tweets, just said differently. He preaches love and tolerance, not a bad thing. It's all good and he's getting lots of press from these tweets. Not bad!

I love his fearless, free spirited soul that embraces the human race as a whole. I'm proud of him on a soap box and on the stage!

Adam lives in a gay community, and most of his friends are gay, not all, and those who are not, accept Adam just the way he is. But it is like he is living in a bubble. I think just because he has for the most part been accepted by Queen and Queen fans, doesn't mean that the world has changed that much. Adam loves people, no matter what their race religion or sexuality, unfortunately the world isn't on the whole like him. That would be a perfect world. We are a long way from that.

Thank god people like Adam continue to challenge the current state of affairs. We will likely not see real, true acceptance-of-all in our lifetime, but it's important to keep trying. To keep enlightening those around us with closed minds and/or closed hearts. I have great hope that the next generations will make great strides, and possibly bring about change. I appreciate Adam for who he is, and his willingness to step up on a soapbox as he sees fit.

Anne Marie, attitudes do change over time. We've seen a definite cultural shift in the U.S. toward greater acceptance of diversity, even in the last 5 years. TV, film and music have all contributed to the progress.

I'm curious to know where you live. I live in suburban Chicago, which is more progressive than some other parts of the U.S. Do you live in a more conservative part of the U.S. or in a different country?

I enjoy reading Adam's comments, as he stated he's an idealist, nothing wrong with that, it's a pity more people can't adopt the same mind set sharing more love and tolerance towards each other, sounds good to me.

Eli, you said that incredibly well. Art and expression make much more a difference than is often realized. And it comes from - and goes straight to - the soul. ~Kudos.

@yada. Thank you! Yes the word tolerate our differences doesn't set set well with me. We should celebrate our differences. The new generation that is on the rise wants to celebrate these differences. As long as isn't disrespectful or degrading, to celebrate these differences is a beautiful thing. It opens up people's mind and heart. Some of the tweets to Adam yesterday was, no no please don't talk about it. We should have tolerance towards other cultures. To me tolerance means I tolerate others' differences but I don't want to have anything else to know about these differences. Whereas CELEBRATION of our differences enlighten us. Help us mentally to grow to achieve the best that we can be. Stirs up our souls. And what better way than to show these differences in music.
