The Queen vocalist Adam Lambert will be back on 'American Idol' as a guest judge in the Season 14 auditions in New York.
On Monday, it was announced on the official Twitter account of 'American Idol', that the runner-up of the show's eighth season would be a guest judge for the upcoming auditions.
"Adam Lambert will be serving as guest judge at the NY auditions. Our thoughts are with Keith and his family during this difficult time," read the statement.

Lambert will be filling in for Keith Urban, who is mourning with his wife Nicole Kidman after she lost her father, Dr. Antony Kidman, recently.
The 32-year-old singer will join two other 'American Idol' judges, Harry Connick Jr. and Jennifer Lopez.
Lambert will be a judge for the callback auditions that will take place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island on Sept. 16 and Sept. 17.
After the callback auditions for New York, the 'American Idol' team will be conducting call back auditions at the Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis on Sept. 22 and Sept. 23.

So, we'll be seeing Adam on S14 after all. From Runner-Up to Judge...that in itself is inspirational; for instance if a contestant doesn't win, they still feel a ray of hope, looking at what Adam did after he lost so graciously...never seen anyone so happy losing something that meant so much.

Yes, Lam-My, he did behave very graciously for his loss. He's a class act and now he's come full circle to enjoy his due reward.

Hello CT.....At that moment, you should have seen my expression; swore like crazy and vowed never to watch AI again. And I just couldn't understand how Adam was so hopping happy...perhaps I thought he was trying to shield the disappointment. Much later, did I realise it was real and he never said anything bad about the decision nor about AI in the interviews that followed. I think Adam was not even going for the win, all he wanted was a recording deal which he got and a lot more. He's very focused, with great foresight.
