“Love is a tough game,” glam superstar Adam Lambert told the sold-out crowd this week, as the headliner at AT&T’s “Live Proud” event.

Adam was the closing act at the special VIP concert — and he took a moment away from performing to speak out about the one thing that means the most to him.
And that’s LOVE.
“I think the thing that binds together the LGBT community,” he told the fans from the stage, “the thing that defines us, is sexuality…
“We all just want love, don’t we?” he asked. “It’s all about love. Or finding other things in the meantime when you’re trying to find love. That’s cool, too. Love is a tough game!”
Earlier in the day, as he was entering the “Live Proud” event, Adam stopped to chat with the music reporters in attendance about late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.
“Even though [Freddie] didn’t acknowledge that he was out as gay,” Adam said, “I think that he was kinda outspoken about it. I mean, he joked about it, all the time. He never really said, ‘No, I’m not…’
“So I think back in the 70s and 80s, it was kinda interesting because the gray area was a bit wider,” Adam said.
Adam was then asked his opinion of the LGBT community one day reaching a wider acceptance.
He confessed: “We have an opportunity right now to be part of the mainstream. The answers and support are just around the corner. If you’re not in the city, you can get online. It’s the information age. You can get on Twitter, Facebook…[and] make friends with people.
“You can ask for advice,” Adam expressed. “There’s so much information at our fingertips now.

“So I think it’s a really exciting time to be a LGBT person!”
