“Without Adam Lambert, We Wouldn’t Be Playing Arenas,” Admit Queen! via onepopz

Those were the words of Queen guitar maestro Brian May, reflecting to Classic Rock Magazine how he felt upon realizing that Adam Lambert was the perfect frontman to take over Freddie Mercury’s glittery shoes.
Adam + Queen will be rocking Europe early next year, after a summer-long tour that took them all over North America.
Brian May admits now that it was Adam’s flamboyant personality that was the clincher, in allowing Queen to rise back to the top of the rock music world.
May admits that Adam was “the final piece of the puzzle…[and] he’s a nice guy! If he was a sh**, it wouldn’t be fun and it wouldn’t have happened!”
“He’s fun, he’s entertaining,” Brian said. “He’s open to ideas, and he brings lots of ideas in. When we were putting this setlist together, he didn’t just go, ‘I’ll do what you want.’ Instead, he said, ‘Look, how about we try this?’
“So we had a proper birth process for the material of this tour,” Brian added. “I just feel very grateful that we’re out there, and can do it.”
Earlier this week, Queen + Adam Lambert were awarded Band Of The Year honors at the Classic Rock Awards in Los Angeles.
Afterward, Brian May admitted that he never thought Queen would be playing arenas again, without late frontman Freddie Mercury at the mic.

The beautiful irony of it all. Adam has worshipped Queen for years, and now he gets such sincere love and respect BACK from them. Full circle. Well-deserved all around. Brian and Roger have found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Love seeing the Elmo jacket again. The firey red next to Adam's raven-black hair is so stunning. (I don't think he owns that jacket. Doesn't it belong to the designers? The Blonds from NYC? At least I think so.)

It's the face more than the jacket, to me... always the face ... damn Adam gives such good face
