Here is the first review from Amsterdam we can find, of course it is in Dutch and once again we go to the handy, if not always quite spot on, Google Translate, although it's a bit better than the French translations from the Paris show.  This is from SPITS Nieuws and reviewed by J. Geerdink and includes 16 photos.

In Beeld (Image): Queen & Adam Lambert in ZiggoDome
Translation via Google Translate; unedited by AL 24/7

The British rock band Queen - at least, after the death of frontman Freddie Mercury in 1991, two remaining members Brian May and Roger Taylor - last night gave a concert in the Ziggodome in Amsterdam.

With help from the American singer Adam Lambert and a handful of accompanying musicians, including Taylor's son Rufus Tiger on percussion and drums, the sold-out concert was presented with a choice of Queen hits.

From opener One Vision and Somebody to Love through a beautifully rendered version - sung by May - version of Love of My Life and Radio Ga Ga and of course Bohemian Rhapsody, Queen played hit after hit. Songs like Fat Bottomed Girls, I Want to Break Free, Under Pressure and I Want It All passed. Whereby Mercury during Love of My Life and Bohemian Rhapsody vocal support offered through the huge screen projected archival images.

The performance was not always good though. The implementation of '39 was lousy, while also sung by Roger Taylor A Kind of Magic totally came out of the paint. In that respect, Lambert did it much better, so did the audience in Ziggodome. When May at the end of the show asked what fans of "the new guy" liked, was the singer, a day after his 33rd birthday, a minute-long ovation.

Another blemish on it like a bell sounding performance were unnecessarily long bass, guitar and drum solos. But the fans milled not, they saw a much better performance than a few years ago when Queen donned our country with guest vocalist Paul Rodgers (Bad Company, Free). And were passing also treated to Save Me, a song Queen with Mercury still rarely brought live.

Our photographer was also present and came home with the above images.

Thanks broddybounce.

A good translation plus a good review overall.

Sounded a little luke warm. This constant bashing the icons Roger and Brian get on my nerves. Adam would hate this lackluster commenting for Queen ane team. The show was brilliant. The solos were brilliant and this reviewer didn't get how lucky he was to even experience the event. Queen has adopted Adam into their fold, but to put any part of the concert as a negative (diminished when Adam wasn't on stage) is a person without knowledge of who Queen is.

Yes, a good review. The criticism are ones we've seen before, and not everyone agrees with those criticisms. Sounds like this writer liked Adam and acknowledged that the crowd did, too.

First Brian and Roger are Queen and are doing an outstanding job and I for one (because the concert is long) like the breaks where Brian plays the guitar, drum solo(Rufus is a cutie) and the part where Brian talks and sings to the crowd ..it gives me more of a sense of who Queen really is . . . and I so glad they love our Adam . . and I loved the concert!!!

They need to incorporate breaks in the show for Adam to rest and change his outfits. He's mentioned that singing Queen songs is like a marathon. Having the rest of the band perform is the perfect way for Adam's breaks. Yes, Adam is an amazing entertainer and Roger and Brian are just as amazing at what they do as well. I enjoy the solos and drum battle because they are part of the entertainment and I know that Adam will come back and wrap up the show. I don't think that Adam could sing for 2.5 hours straight and we as the audience will probably suffer cardiac arrests from prolonged excitement as well. I know that I would ;))) - 2.5 hours of all that heart-racing and breath-holding will land me in the hospital after each concert for sure.

These are all high quality pics. It's funny that no one around them has any clue who they are. Like hey I just played a concert with Queen in front of 20K last night no biggie :)

Thanks for the Adam/Sauli pix, Lambertlust! It does looks they're out and about undisturbed. Those two are like Velcro. Once they come together, they can't be pulled apart very easily. :)

I think the reviewer of Queen plus Adam was definitely not a fan of Queen or music for that matter. It was an okay review for an okay performance but this was Queen and Adam Lambert for God's sake! They performed brilliantly! Oh well, no accounting for taste I guess.

Thanks Lamberlust . . our boy looks so HOT!!!!!!

The criticism of Brian & Roger is unwarranted. Their performances without Adam singing are excellent & as has been said, they are Queen for goodness sake, and if it weren't for them, Adam wouldn't be their leading singer in this concert tour. Well, there's no pleasing all of the people all of the time.

Not everyone is going to like the same thing. Not every review is going to be a 5 star review. That never happens for any band or singer. So what. It's not a big deal or an insult. It's a different opinion. We all have one. Let it go.
