Martin Lamont at Unreality TV has written some pretty darn nice stuff about Adam over time and he doesn't stop now!

"We of course had the pleasure of attending the Glasgow date at the SSE Hydro and quite honestly, it was one of the best live performances we’ve ever seen."

"Everyone knows that Adam Lambert, who is currently the frontman for the legendary rock band, is a massive talent and his name is spreading like wildfire after each performance."

This is my response to this article"

Please vote every minute for Queen + Adam Lambert for 2014 tour of the year at http://ultimateclassicrock.com/tour-of-the-year-2014/ if you remove cookies polldaddy and ultimateclassicrock you can vote as often as you like.

You wrote, "Before I even handed my money over for this gig I knew Adam Lambert – despite his talents – could never hold a candle to the late, great Freddie Mercury." Yet, you did not write whether or not Adam exceeded your expectations. I think Adam actually did not just hold a candle to Freddie, but actually took it beyond what Freddie ever did. The energy generated on that stage I don't think was matched back in the old days.

Freddie did not sing the songs true to the melodies. He took license with them and altered the timing and the melodies too often. Go back and look at some of the videos of Freddie with Queen and Adam with Queen for the same songs. I will use the example of "I Was Born to Love You." The clip that Queen used as the trailer for the NYE show in the UK and the official video of the song are so different. Adam brings an excitement to the song that makes you throw your hands in the air while the song crescendos. When Adam sings "An amazing feeling coming through," you feel the energy rise to incredible heights. You feel what the words are saying. I don't feel any of that in Freddie's version. Most people make comments that Adam is not Freddie or Adam could never be Freddie, but Freddie could not ever be Adam. I think Freddie has become magnified by his tragic early death and the number of years he has been gone. If Freddie was performing now with Queen, even if he was 32 years old, I don't think the concert would have been as exciting as it is with Adam. Give credit where credit is due. Adam is the best frontman that has ever existed for any band since Rock and Roll started.

Adam is often compared to Elvis. Would Elvis have been able to put on a show with Queen like Adam did? Far from it. Had there been no Freddie, would Adam be getting more credit for putting on an incredible show without reservation? Of course.

Obviously you never saw Freddie live.

Enough of the Adam/Freddie comparisons already. They only serves to create ill-feeling amongst fans.

Stellar review! A pleasure, and very fun to read. I also loved this in the comment section by Beverly:

" Adam Lambert actually performs (and makes you FEEL) the true meanings of any song or lyric he sings. "

... Man oh Man, isn't that the truth, Beverly!? :)

I'm filled with joy for Adam's exposure, reception and success.

His future... it's so very bright.

And, lest I forget... what KILLER smile in the Q! YUM. ;)

You're entitled to your opinion Anon 7:38 PM as is everyone else. Seeing Freddie in video is definitely nowhere near as fabulous as he was live.
