Mirror.co.uk: Dr. Brian May Considering Running for Political Office

We're not sure if there will be more Q+AL shows anywhere else in the world after they finish the European tour in Sheffield later this month.  But we do know that Adam will be really busy in 2015 and, it turns out, Brian may have plans of his own, as well....

"A spokesperson for the the guitar legend - currently on a tour of Europe with Queen and Adam Lambert - said he is giving 'serious thought' to a run for office as part of his Common Decency project."

Note: This story has also been reported by the BBC and other legitimate news outlets.

Thanks for posting.

Go get 'em, Dr Bri.

There's an absolutely gorgeous large photo of him in this article.

If only we had a candidate running in 2016 with "Common Decency" as their goal. Do you think any of the billionaires who back our present candidates would give a penny's support for that ?

Good luck Dr. Bri.

I had already heard, that he was considering running for office, I would certainly back him, except of course I don't live in the UK.
This is so much more important than having another tour. Common Decency is lacking world wide, I know his heart is about the animals over the world, but there is definitely a lack in people too. This might encourage other people in other countries, to get involved in his campaign. He is known world wide through Queen, so I think he could reach a lot of people, and get a few laws enforced. If Brian really wants to campaign for his special causes I would think that he would have more influence as the brilliant and beloved guitarist of Queen than as a blankety-blank politician.

People might not take him seriously if he uses guitarist, his name alone has some punch. Brian May has several titles, Sir being one. I can't spell some of his other accomplishments, but he has several. Anyway he is well qualified to pursue this ambition.
He also has money to get the ball rolling, and naturally will get donations for the cause.

I'm in awe of Dr. May's accomplishments. Huge force of Queen's legacy. Hope Adam learned a lot from him and his amazing talent rubbed on Adam. That's equivalent of good two years of going to Ivy League University.

Dr Brian May doesn't have a knighthood so he's not known as Sir Brian May. He does have a CBE which means he's been awarded the honor of Commander of the British Empire which is a wonderful honor. :)
