Adam Lambert mention: ‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Kit Harington Thinks That Calling Him A ‘Hunk’ Is ‘Demeaning’

As for being asked about “being a heartthrob,” maybe it’s just me, but I’m genuinely curious. Kit has told us what he thinks here, that he doesn’t like it, but I want to know what other people think. How does Liam Hemsworth feel? Or Adam Lambert? Should David Gandy be offended because he’s know for being good-looking?

Well, personally I look for the brain lol! Hunk or not...when the person says something as in this case...the 'hunk' connotation to mean handsome/macho/sexy...will soon dissipate over time if the brain is not so 'hunk' to mean smart/humorous/perceptive.
Also, don't take being called a hunk for granted. Beauty as well as talent is a special gift of nature and can evade a lot of people who wish they could be called 'hunk' one way or another and definitely not so easy to be blessed with both.

Who knew! I feel so sorry for that Hunk. not

If they don't want to be known as a hunk, quit doing sexy photo shoots. Dress yourself down.

If Kit was a model and not an actor, he probably would enjoy being called a "Hunk". As a serious actor, I guess I can understand why he feels that way. Oh to be beautiful as well as talented! (p.s. I adore Kit!)

Oh to clarify...I think the most impressive hunk is one who thinks he is not a hunk...humility and awareness that myriads of people are a lot more hunky. Look no further, he's right here...Adam!

That he should be so blessed to be good-looking. Suck it up. It's no biggie. It's a compliment.

If you read the article he makes sense. He says

"To always be put on a pedestal as a hunk is slightly demeaning,” he said. “It really is and it’s in the same way as it is for women. When an actor is seen only for her physical beauty, it can be quite offensive.”

He goes on to add that is not what he got into it for.

I'm sure beautiful leading ladies would say the same thing; look at my craft first, not my beauty.

I suspect Adam would say the same, his music is more important than his looks.

I can't see the 'hunk' compliment as "demeaning" as the 'hunk' look would have been a factor considered when picked for his role. I think an actor's appearance and art are integrally rolled in one.

Adam is a handsome man. I don't see anything wrong with calling someone a "hunk". I think when you let go to the head is when it is wrong. I think conceit is ugly. I think being smart is important. Adam seems very smart.

alot of men are going to dress to impress or undress to impress. If a person finds that attractive, they will immediately throw the hunk stamp on them. Hunk is a term that could be taken to the heart or taken lightly. A conceited individual would let it go straight to the head a humble man would take it as is. Don't see any offense in it.

If a man is a great actor and a hunk, lucky guy!! There's nothing demeaning in that.

I've seen some incredibly sexy, attractive men who are not hunks, not even very good-looking. But they have that certain something that is very alluring. I've seen some drop-dead gorgeous guys who leave me cold. It's a combination of looks and personality. Adam, of course, has tons of both.
