EXCERPT FROM THE MUCH LONGER ARTICLE/INTERVIEW:

QUESTION: "How have you changed as both a performer and person in the last five years or so?"

ADAM LAMBERT: "I definitely feel both a personal and professional evolution over the past five years. I think I’ve become more well adjusted to the strangeness of fame and more grounded in my personal life. I don’t overwork my performances as much as I once did; as an entertainer, sometimes less IS more. Personally speaking, I’ve tried to take a similar less is more approach to life. That being said, I still have extravagant tendencies but I think I’ve managed to balance things out a bit better. I’m still my own worst critic, but I’m giving myself better reviews these days. This has all lead to me feeling more comfortable in my skin and more willing to reveal a more authentic, honest self to the world. My personal style reflects this shift pretty clearly as well. I’m still drawn to glamour but in a much less flamboyant way. I’ve outgrown a lot of the looks I was working when I broke onto the scene five years ago – all that bullshit was a LOT of work and way too much getting ready time – I’m not patient enough anymore! And plus, my tastes have just changed in five years – just like anyone. We all have our phases, some fierce and some tragic! I definitely look back on some of my fashion choices and roll my eyes."

Love his self - examination and his take on how he has evolved over the past six years. "Less is more!" Never thought I'd hear him say that! LOL!

That's a great article to read. He talked about his album and Queen. Love the picture gallery.

Always fascinating to see professional, and slightly editorial, photographs of Adam Lambert imho! I like these! But even if I didn't, I would appreciate them, in that they show Adam in a way/style/manner that we don't see him that often. Please feel free to correct me and illuminate me if I'm wrong 'though :)!! I LOVE perusing professional pics of Adam! :)
(OT: All opinions are cool and interesting of course, but let's be wary of trolls and our responses to them, on this exciting & uplifting AML news day ;))

10:10 AM here - not that I am saying anyone has posted here in a troll like fashion ... I guess I'm just a little wary, ugh, sorry everyone.

Btw, thanks for posting so quickly Admins! I always appreciate the "one stop shopping", so to speak, when I don't have time to run around the web! :)

Thanks for posting that!!! Appreciate it. :)

Regarding 9:06's link, I believe that guy, Toby Knapp, has been supportive of Adam in the past. Will try to find links re such and post later (not that it matters, I'm js that I think I recollect him being overtly supportive of AML in the past, and perhaps it speaks to the benefits of being a NICE GUY when on "the circuit" as Adam always has been, or Mr. Knapp just dug his music :), either way win/win).

This was an incredible interview and an intriguing photoshoot! Adam, once again, speaking so intelligently and with great clarity. His ability to speak so articulately always impresses me.

It's obvious in reading his answers to these excellent questions how he has grown as an individual and a man. Also, I'm blown away at how much he has accomplished as an artist in these last few years.

This was one of the very best interviews of Adam I've ever read. The photos show a dark, sultry, other side of Adam I've not often seen.

I wish him all the very best of success in his Era 3 as well as his continued relationship with Queen. He once said( I think it was the press conference with Queen announcing their NA Tour together) to the press his solo career and the Queen Tour were "side by side" projects). I hope he takes the world by storm with TOH and enjoys touring with Queen to the max as well. What an amazing artist and man.

Mmmmmmm...... I LOVE this rugged look on Adam.

It's like Adam in the Raw. (Whew!)

..... Yet, there is so much natural elegance to this man that his matured sophistication comes through in spades as well.

Good Lord, he's just driving us crazy!

..... All this deep, authenticity, vulnerability.... eloquent intelligent articulation.... Raw, sultry sexiness. Gaaaaaaahhhh. (Just dyin'.... slowly and happily....)

..... So many beautiful facets to this man.

NEVER EVER a dull moment with Adam Lambert. Never.

That interview was sheer delight. Supreme.
Respectable, sensible questions.... Premium answers indicative of an uber extraordinary man who's spent some harder times walking into the scary moments of soul-searching that no one else can do but himself - alone - with the ample courage it takes to dig very deep and accept, acknowledge and OWN his true person and feelings - flaws and all.
But, not with an "in your face" manner.... Not a smidge.... Rather, with grace, humility, courage, vulnerability, authenticity, kindness, respect, gentleness mixed with his own brand of fierceness, strength and masculinity.

Adore.... Adore.....!!! Proud of you Adam. Honored to be your fan and supporter. xoxo

Great interview, thoroughly enjoyed reading it, Adam is an open book. Loved the photos by Rankin. Adam must have had this done when he was in England on tour. I don't know how this happened but that guy we talked about yesterday, who was with Adam in England, also posted a couple of black and white photos today. Coincidence or what? I still get nice vibes from those two.

I've just read Adam's interview , it is interesting, honest but most of all revelatory. In a demanding , competitive society/show biz he is a man/artist who can cope with pressure, changes , even radical ones.I can only hope that this time his new label's strategy will be bright, credible ,tenacious.
It is a passage that makes me pensive, though:"Vocally, I think it's my most tasteful, sophisticated(=refined, stylish, RESTRAINED...) work to date. With Max's guidance, I approached a lot of it with more RESTRAINT than in the past."
Thinking of Adam's amazing vocals , vocals that have made him Queen's new front man , that restraint thing puzzles me a little, I , again, can only hope that he refers to self-control, self-discipline and not excessive prudence.

Adam is almost too beautiful to look at. But then again, I can't tear my eyes away!Excruciatingly gorgeous!!! Some of the 50 Shades he can exude and leave your heart just fluttering.

Perhaps restraint means not so many wails where he improvised.

yada said...

... Ah but, I like his wails. :)

Hope he still has some of his stratospheric range featured in there.... His lower & higher ranges....

I would think that MM/SB is intelligent and savy when it comes to Adam's voice.

Excited to wait and see!
(well.... The seeing part, anyway. The waiting, not so much)

@9:17 AM

Dare I say, if my cat dragged in something as GORGEOUS AS ADAM; I would build him a Cat Kingdom and all the goodies he could devour for the rest of his life; even if he had nine left!!

Loved, loved all the comments under the articles. l00% positive and sincere. They are a must read. I sure hope that Adam reads them all; so much love, joy and adulation for our man. He such a gift to humanity!

I need him on every Television show known to man, when his single is released! Ha, ha!

Well, I will settle for as many as humanly possible!!

Drowned rat look.

A lot of flailing going on, these pictures are good, but I have seen better. MHO is I don't think they flatter Adam at all. Sorry.
I am glad he will be having music that is not so camp, I think that is why his last two albums didn't get the radio play. The sales were good but not excellent I am hoping for better things this time around, since Adam is getting better guidance.

I love the fact that Adam can grow and evolve. Not every artist is capable of that. His new slim trim look suits him! He is a born model!

Wonderful interview.
I don't like the photos.

I love these pictures, just another side of beauty.
