I'm sure Adam is absolutely aware of the power/magic of words, he's a lyricist after all! Here it is, another proof as if it were necessary, his brief "review"of the single to come:

Adam has used words like tools, beautiful words, intriguing, powerful, able to create channels between we all, he, his fans, to offer answers, to put an end to our expectations and eagerness, to give us high hopes.A magician!

I will be not so quick to underestimate Adam. He is a good writer who like to cooperate with others. He has a good ideas for the catch phrases and he brings the best from the people. Sometimes the catch is what made the song.
If you look on the credit for todays pop music you will find a lot of team effort. Max Martin has the whole team for this.

I'm a little disappointed to see that Adam isn't in the writers. I hope and need Adam doesn't make the same mistakes chossing singles doesn't write for him like in Trespassing (any song was written by Adam). Adam must trust a little more in his capacity as a writer. I know Max Martin is a great writer and producer to hits 1, but in The Original High I want more of Adam.

Somebody said on another site, that they put someone elses name on there to hold the spot, and then before it is released Adams name will be put there. Have no idea if that is a true thing they do in show business for some reason.

Ali's name is listed as a writer twice so maybe Adam's name will be added later. Guess we will have to wait for the album to find out.

Adam said very plainly in a recent interview that the TOH is written by hiself Adam and MM I imagine S also. Adam is a good writer period. However I believe MM has guided Adam and brought out the best in him as far as a writtet. His credits for the song ce come out later. The important thing is it's a great song by all accounts so far it is. The thing is we need to stay positive and not worry about the trolls and DD that are on every posts. They are only here to disrupt and bring down this happy and exciting time to come for Adam.

He got a great team of producers/ writers behind him and a label that's supporying him. I only see good things coming.

That is why Ali's name is listed twice, it holds a spot for Adams name to be put their. It is some sort of protection so that the single is not leaked. Apparently this is a common thing they do, because of the music leaked before it is time for the actual release. I believe Adam said he has either written or co-written all the music.

Yes, Adam clearly said that he is a co-writer on the TOH songs. His name should be appearing on the final song credits. Writing songs has never been Adam's main thing, but he seems to have some major input on TOH. (There have been plenty of top singers who never wrote their own stuff.) Adam has shown himself to be a good collaborator when it comes to songwriting.

Co writer can mean you add one line.

It is not to wonder about, because Adam has talked about it himself. That's why he has co-writers, because sometimes he writes very little of the song, but only changes or adds to the song.

I consider cohesiveness in sound/name recognition and strong song writing very important, so an orchestrated effort by a knowledgable and powerful team seems to be crucial. As long as Adam's music catches on and more people fall in love with him, I couldn't be happier. Things are looking very good, so I am not going to worry about his songwriting credits for one song that could be a major hit. I think Adam's strength lies in his voice and performance skills (looks and charisma aside), and while I see potential in his songwriting, I'm glad that he took guidance from people with expertise in that field.

The snippet of Ghost Town, makes me expect to see Clint Eastwood riding his horse across the screen on his way into town to clean out the bad guys.

Ugh, no offense to anyone here... but I can't even think of Clint Eastwood, even if only in character, in the same "brain space" as Adam Lambert ... as one of them is so accepting & open & an advocate of do your own thing and being yourself ... and the other is, well, let me just say that the other is NOT!

But, as far as the Ghost Town visual and mood, okay, I guess I can see that :)

I must correct you. He said that lyrics are his forte and he likes to write or co wrote.
We really do not know how much he contributed on upcoming single/album. We should really wait and see if we find some information about that.

Adam has said that he has written or co-written all the songs on The Original High Record of his. He has said many times that he loves to collaborate with others. If Adam says that he wrote or co-wrote the songs; I choose to believe him, not all the speculators who really know as much as I do about it; which is absolutely NOTHING!!

I am just anxious to hear the voice of this heavenly singer and see what he has created! Can't wait to start purchasing and gifting and anything else to help him get to the top!

Meanwhile, it is Adam we should believe, because with every breathe he takes and every move he makes; he'll be watching us!!

I think that writing is a special talent and skill. And singing is a special talent and a skill. But they are different and not everyone does both equally well.
I am happy for Adam to excel at singing and have a hand in writing, and for the writers to give their best for him.

LOL @all the regular people and fans paying so much attention to whether Adam writes his music or not. If you're not writing his music, what does it matter to you?

When somebody performs and sings like Adam does, are you the whole time thinking "I wonder did he write this song? Or did he cowrite this song? Can he write his own music?If he did not write this song, who did? Why does he not write more?"

Ooops, there went the song, didn't get to hear it... maybe next time.

I could'nt care less if Adam only wrote one word. The greatest singers of all time didnt write their songs. Their talent was singing.
