Let's make Ghost Town no. 1 on this Billbord chart. All you have to do is click on song title. A box opens up. Then click on "Tweet".

That's Adam's whistle on that snippet of #GhostTown

Anonymous said...

@3:59 I did that, how often can we do it?

Anonymous said...

4:18, how do you know that?

Anonymous said...

When I went back and did it again, in red it said I had already tweeted.

Anonymous said...

I was able to do that couple of times. I Might do it couple of more times again later.

Ok Madonna just debut on the Adult Contemporary chart, with "Ghosttown" I don't think adam has to worry much.

I kind of like that rather interesting snippet...yea good start for Ghost Town; reminds me a lot of my Phantom Whistler story where Adam hears a supposed ghost, whistling in an off-shore Singapore lighthouse. Mmm now my story has a music score. lol!

Good ole Byron..... :))

Glad to see him on board!

Alrighty, going to go officially join the 21st century and open a twitter account so I can follow 3:59's good suggestion (along with many others here). :))

It sounds like the beginning to one of Clint Eastwood's early western movies. Can't remember which one.

7:12 :)..... Could it be 'The Good the Bad & the Ugly' you may be thinking of, perhaps?

.... Came to my mind as well. That theme song and the 'hook' from has become iconic.

Adam's doesn't sound the same .... It's his own original.... But the basic idea of whistling with a catchy percussion beat with the "ghost town" concept adds to it's feel, I think.
Brilliant.... :)

I CAN NOT BELIEVE STUPID MADONNA IS RELEASING A SONG WITH THE SAME TITLE AFTER ALL THIS TIME WAITING FOR SOMETHING UNIQUE FROM ADAM. ARE YOU SERIOUS?? SHE HAD HER TURN NOW DISAPPEAR!! THIS WILL NEGATIVELY AFFECT THIS RELEASE. WHY OH WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO BE SO DIFFICULT FOR HIM?? I KNOW I KNOW I NEED TO GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON. SO MAD RIGHT NOW.

7:20, Relax. He's is good hands. I don't think it's as big a deal as it may seem. WB is aware of the factors involved. Take a deep breath. Shosh says there's something fun happening tomorrow.

Anonymous said...

7:20 PM, it's OK, it is frustrating that a Madonna song with a near identical title is out at the same time. I'm sure there will be lots of mix ups.

I listened to the snippet again, I think it's flute not so much whistling. I like flute a lot; yea it goes well with his canyon environment. It reminds me of Kitaro's music, Matsuri, my favourite, Silk Road etc. oriental flavour but when Adam sings, expect the unexpected.

Anonymous said...

His song is not dropping until April 21. That may be one reason why. Doubt there will be any mix up. Maybe on Twitter now I doubt it his face is on the song sure his name.

Lam-My said...

Kitaro's masterpiece Matsuri...my favourite.

Adam is gearing up for his modern new era album; his new photo shows the mission-impossible vibe lol! So handsome, will appeal to the younger people. His new lock of hair on the forehead makes him look younger and sexier.

I think Madonna's same song title could actually help Adam. People streaming or searching for Madonna's music might accidentally find out about Adam. And isn't it much cooler for Adam to be "linked" or confused with a pop icon than with a series of Idol alums? I have faith that WB knows what they are doing, and I totally love the taste of the new vibe! Need more!

Oh, yes, I needed it , finally , Popular in network brought me the good news, Ghost Town,April 21st.
I'm looking forward to explore it , it seems a song of mood, who knows , the snippet only gave us a small taste of it, Adam is a man of surprises! And yes, it seems to have a vague resemblance to Ennio Morricone's sountracks for the Spaghetti Westerns. As for the"whistle", dear Lam-My, it can be a flute, a pipe,or the synth that can be played to sound like everything.
Intriguing!

Lam-My said...

Yes agree Pan...the synthesiser can make sounds that seem to resemble, overlap; intriguing.

Why oh why does Mdn's Ghostown have to be released just a day before Adam's GhostTown. I see excedrin headache 2million popping up.

Lam-My said...

In the first place there are so many ways of expressing something ghostly; so yea why the same?

Dee R Gee said...

Gabi, I agree with you. The connection with Madonna's song will most likely do Adam more good than harm.

I don't know how many country/country-crossover fans we have here, but Trisha Yearwood & LeeAnn Rimes actually released their own versions of the same EXACT song in 1998 ("How Do I Live"). Now that sitch was a whole hot mess on about 10 different levels :), no need to get into, there is not much of a comparison with Adam's & Madonna's singles, except to say that the Trisha Yearwood/LeeAnn Rimes situation brought WAY WAY more attention to the song, "How Do I Live", across SEVERAL genres than it might have otherwise received! "How Do I Live" was destined to be a crossover hit from the beginning, it wasn't only going to do well on the country charts, it had "crossover" hit written all over it (it was used for the movie "Con Air" I think), but both versions of the song exploded across several genres, Pop / HAC / Country, etc., when it might have otherwise impacted only Country & HAC charts, if not for the exposure it received because of the dual artist release. Again, I fully understand this is very different, but I don't think the potential "watercooler" type talk that Adam's single might receive in light of this situation with the Madonna single is a bad thing. But then again, what do I know ;). I am sure there are many more current and relevant examples one could give also, especially in Pop, Rock & Hip Hop, but that Yearwood/Rimes thing just sprang to my mind. Anyway, blah blah blah :)... Can't wait 'til April 21!

Love the snippet!

I don't care how the whistle was done, I just know I now want to watch Adam whistle.

Thanks for posting!! I am quite tech savvy, but not on twitter (go figure, lol), so thanks!

@6:45

I remember that hit song "How Do I Live" because it exploded in the air with both Leanne and Trisha's versions.
I love the song and I think Trisha's was more artistic than Leanne's commercial version.

@6:54, that's interesting. I only remember Lee Ann Rimes' version, even though I really like Trisha Yearwood. All I know is I can't wait to hear Adam's full song!!
