Ok I am so ready to Shazam, I have my phone out ready to go. I don't know why but all this stuff seems like a big racket to me. Shazam, tweeting Billboard 140, hooking up with Spotify and others. Maybe I just don't get the big picture yet but I will.

Shazam isn't a racket.

Get Shazam on your phone, your spouses and kids phones, have a history of Shazams on the account, and wait for Shosh's directive.

Shazam is but one (and VERRRRY important) part of the way things work now in music..

The Music Industry monitors all of those various apps, sites, etc.. and determines whose music is hot and who deserves attention/radio play... etc.. etc..

As fans we wish the very best for Adam and this is why we keep posting info here on 24/7...

By using Shazam and doing it at the right time is another way of supporting our guy!!!

Hahaha...just checked the world map in Shazam to see list of tracks in other countries. Take Me To Church is no. 1 in Russia!? Couple old tracks are favs. in China one being MJ and another Kenny Rogers. Funny.

Very easy guys, just download Shazam app. Wait until we hear from Shoshanna on 4/27/15 to Shazam GT when we hear it on radios in our area. I live in LA. So I'm hoping to hear GT on KIIS FM, and myFM. Then in accordance to Adam's camps' instructions......SHAZAM!

Info changes by the minute. What's the point.

Does this mean we shouldn't buy GT until that date also?

Seriously? I love Adam but this is wayyy too complicated for me. I don't know how the heck to download an app.......

We'll be hearing more about the new album on Tuesday from Adam Official re Pre-order info..

We posted a thread about not pre-ordering from iTunes only and the reasons why not to do so..Wait until midnight US East Cost time for immediate download so it counts in iTunes first week sales chart. As far as we know now, ALL other pre-order sources will be fine.

@Donna W. Buy GT from iTunes on Tuesday. Look for links on this site to buy the digital track of iTunes.

If you have iPhone, on first home page of your device, there is a blue icon with 'A' letter on it. It's APP store. Click on it and search for SHAZAM. Download it. Use your email to register. Then wam bam you got your SHAZAM. :) then wait until 4/27 to what to do. Very simple.

@Glitzylady. A friendly suggestion: can we for now only concentrate on supporting GT since we really don't know the exact release date for TOH album. Some people get confused, IMO. Love you and thanks for all the hard work you do to pass on news on this website and keep this place orderly.

But for now folks:

1. Buy, gift GT from iTunes on Tuesday

2. Download Shazam on your mobile device and wait until 4/27/15 for instructions how to use it to support GT

My problem is that i'm technically incompetent!!
I fully realize that we aren't supposed to pre order GT until Tuesday...i was just thrown for a loop when i started reading about this Shazam thing....i had NO idea what it was....i originally thought it was a site where we could purchase GT.
Guess it shows what an idiot i am! I hope Adam doesn't read this site....i'd hate for him to know how stupid some of his fans are!! :o)

Glitzylady your efforts are greatly appreciated. I'm also confused about some of this, but can follow directions so will do my best to keep up. Never used to be so complicated?

I'm trying to understand the Shazam thing too. I haven't downloaded the app onto my iPad yet. Should I also DL it onto my iMac? I don't have a Smart Phone. Am I correct in assuming we can only Shazam one time when instructed to do so ? Just one single time? Sounds like a lot of trouble to just be able to Shazam's Adam's GT one time. I realize we can use Shazam for other artists music though.

About Spotify...will Adam' GT be on it right away? I mean by the week oh 4/27/15?

I want to do the right thing for Adam.

For those asking about Shazam, it is very easy to do. Download it and practice a bit before we are given the sign to "Shazam" Ghost Town. Easy and fun.

You can download the app for smart phones at iTunes or Google Play. It's also at http://www.shazam.com/
You can also download it to iPads, tablets and laptops that have a microphone.

Once you have the app all you have to do when you hear a song is open the app and tap on the large "S". It is amazing and fun to watch it tell you the name of the song and artist as well as where to buy etc. It can even identity some TV shows (I was trying to find the name of a song in a TV show but it told me which show I was watching. Pretty amazing.)

Another reason to download it now is to have an established account where you have already Shazamed other songs. Apparently Shazam is on to fan bases setting up new accounts just to Shazam their idol's song. That is why only one Shazam per account counts for their chart. They don't want fans spamming like we can do with repeat voting on some contests.

Radio looks at the Shazam charts as do other Shazam users, that is why we are going to the trouble of shazaming Ghost Town once.

I scroll the whole Shazam top 100 list to see what is new or popular. I also look at top songs in many genres. I use Shazam like others use iTunes charts.

Best way to communicate information is to make it simple and outline your information. Especially with new information.

The most important and pertinent info in this thread topic is that we need to wait to Shazam "Ghost Town" until April 27.. And/or until instructed by Adam, Shoshanna, and Adam's label. All of the rest is background info..

Telling people how easy it is to get the app and use it seems like the most pertinent info right now.

I apologize for not being able to post that right now. Right after I posted this thread I had to leave home for the day. The original purpose of this thread was to share the info about the Shazam date.

Appreciate all the efforts here. I have a Shazam account in my Iphone and going to get it for my Android too. One thing I'm unsure about, is it necessary to link the account to our facebook/spotify etc?

Oh, one more, can Shazam read our location? I mean if we Shazam from different country, they will count worldwide or by country? I hate to say this but Adam is not so famous in my country. Is there any way I can make my Shazam count as US? Correct me if I'm wrong. Seriously wish to do the right thing for Adam.

9:18, you can go to the app or your phones settings to modify changes.

As for location, Shazam uses the location you initially setup on your phones.

Wham! Bam! Shazam! :-D
