Hoping all those views translate to at least half that many sales. That's what's needed on 6/16/15. Need good sales for over a week to get past TP going to BB#1 and sales need to be sustainable. This promo is heavily weighed to great radio promos and now TV and events are kickin in. This has got to pay off. Perhaps KTU will expose the attendees who are not familiar with Adam and his voice to his superior vocals, and he'll also be heard by the other performers.
Times are a lot different then they were then. Taylor Swift and many artists out now. Adam is doing well and this album apparently is being well received so far. Wherever he charts will be great. Most artist don't always hit number one immediately. Just one of those things. Let's just hope he charts in the top twenty. At this time in musical history; that will be a feat among itself. Why set the sights so darn high just to be disappointed. That would be unfair to Adam and to his fans. Let us do our best to keep supporting him; and he will have a good solid career. He is good, good, we all know it; nothing will change that; no matter where he charts, superficial list that he really has no control of!!!
Adam Lambert will always be #1 in my book. At least, no matter what happens; he can always say he has had a number one Bill Board Grammy nominated artist to chart right out of the gate on his albums. Some artists can never say that! Can't wait to just hear this album! Just seeing him out there where he belongs, just warms my heart. Will be proud of him; no matter what. He is the Musical Bomb, and a force of nature to be reckoned with!!!! Stella A.
All we can do is continue with the things are in our power. Buy, if we can, stream, view, vote, request. We've done a good job, I think. It's true that the music marketplace has changed drastically, even since TP. Marketing strategies are completely different. A lot more is in the hands of the fans and social media. Adam will always be a top talent, acknowledged by fans and peers alike. I wish him longevity more than anything. Careers have spikes and dips. But I really want him and his music to be listened to and enjoyed for years to come. I'd love to see some strong reviews from RS and other major publications. In the meantime, view GT! Support EITN and ALN and UG. Great music!
Adam Lambert was always a force to be heard. I sincerely hope that the music industry keeps opening their hearts to Adam. His lyrical music style is one of a kind. His Glamberts got his back 24/7. I feel, that "The Original High", will be his best masterpiece to date. It is a cerebral "Gold Mind" and a GRAMMY worthy contender...Yes.
@11:28 You do realize Trespassing only sold 77,000 it's first week and made #1. There is no way TOH will sell 1.5 million it's first week. 3 million view does not translate into 3 million or 1.5 million people watching. There are realistically only a 100,000 or so that are watching the music video if that many. If 100,000 have watched it 30 times each in a month that is 3 million. I know I have watched it a lot more than that. So we need to be realistic with our expectations. Hopefully it will sell more than Trespassing did it's first week, but if not that is OK too. With more singles and more exposure it will sell more. Sam Smith's album sol 166,000 it's first week, but has since sold 1.5 million. hoping that Adam's will do the same.
Sam Smith is Sam Smith; part of the British invasion, who always seem to do well with Americans. Adam should not have to be compared with Sam Smith or anyone else. The only person that Adam should be compared with is himself. He has put out a great Album. He, in my opinion and other's, is one of the greatest singers in the world. He and his CURRENT record label Warner Music, has done their part. The Adam fans are really in this man's corner; really, the ADAM LAMBERT FANS OR TRULY "THE WIND BENEATH HIS TALENTED WINGS"; Adam knows it and appreciates it even more than we know. He always says it every chance he gets. We may not be the biggest group. But, Glamberts have the most heart and dedication; and everyone knows it, including radio, etc. I think that now know this more then ever before!
I find it unbelievable myself when on this site and other Adam sites; just what smart ninjas he has. The calculating of figures, all the stats; where to vote, all the other things to help this wonderful man move closer and closer to his dreams. Adam is truly loved by his fans around the world and that is so good to see. I don't think that even Adam realizes the depth of that love at the moment!
So no, I would not compare Adam with anyone that he helped to open doors for and it helped to make it easier for them to walk in, get all the radio play they needed and picked up award after award, and accepted by peers that Adam never even had a chance to meet; since he had no label really supporting him at the time.
The sad part is, someone of Adam's caliber was not given the chance of a life time that some others were givene, while this good and talented man watched from the sidelines cheering others with lesser talents on, without a selfish bone in his body. So keep the comparisons to yourselves; Adam does not want them or need them. The truth is; "ADAM LAMBERT IS THE ONE; THE ONE WHO WILL ALWAYS BRING THE MORNING SUN"!
Its getting a little deep in here. There is a difference in being a fan and in being a minion. Worship isn't part of my intention. Can't I just think he's a great singer?
Jeez, 10:07 AM, there is a lot of unproven assumptions there.
A lot has changed in the he past 5 years regarding the acceptance of LGBT people and most of that has nothing to do with Adam. Sam has also approached it in a very safe way and in a different genre.
Adam did receive a once in a lifetime opportunity, Idol, and he has done well with that opportunity.
Adam is not a victim, stop trying to make him one.
He also closed the AMA's when his first album was released. That is what hurt him the most. That was his ticket to super stardom. If had just bottom up there and dang WWFM, he would be a Super Star.
