Are there any Glambert's here going? If so, I'm very happy that he will finally be in S America! Those fans have deserved this for so long!

I couldn't find a thread about the cast list, I don't know whether Adam 24/7 posted it or not as I was MIA for a while. I also don't know whether the blog where I read it held exclusivity, come what may, I'm going to take the liberty to say some words about this list. What is obvious is that the makers of the video needed a varied, mixed array of people and that instantly brought the concept of "unity in diversity" concept in my mind. I don't know which song it would suit better, I think all , because it would be such a generous project(and ambitious), to suggest the viewers that belonging means diversity, tolerance, freedom and diversity is based on individuality, originality, spirituality. And it would match almost all the songs on the album. This is a bit of speculation as I know that the project is ongoing .

Here is a translation from Google Translate:

"September is coming and brings @adamlambert to Brazil! Record a video welcoming the artist and post with #bemvindoadam. The best of them will be compiled into a special video that we show to Adam himself!"

ALSO: Pan, please do forgive me, but you need to be a bit more specific when you are putting a comment within a post that is about a completely different post. Initially, I had absolutely no idea what you were talking about. :)

Ok, so, glitzylady's post about the casting session for Adam's new video may be found here:

Isn't casting session and cast list one and the same thing? This link was posted 5 days ago, I didn't see it ,it must have been archived. I couldn't read it then because, as I said, I was missing for a time. And to be honest I have neither time nor patience to check in the archives, and who on earth read the archived comments? It is the last time I WILL POLITELY SUGGEST A PERMANENT THREAD ABOUT THE ORIGINAL HIGH, otherwise all comments about it/the singles will forever be scattered .Maybe you can give me a suggestion, where should I have posted my comments on cast list=casting session?

@Pan
I'm sorry you had trouble finding the post... And to complicate things, the original Facebook post was removed earlier today by the casting agency so you couldn't see the actual casting call/list of desired "types"... I did fortunately do screen caps though so it is now re-posted on that thread in case you missed it..

An easy way to find previous threads that have gone beyond the first page:

At the top of the main webpage, there is a box (upper right hand corner) that says "Keyword"... in this particular case, type "casting" and it will take you right to the thread...

Another convenient way to find a thread, if it was a popular one, is to go to the right hand side of the main page, scroll down to "Top 10 Popular Posts".. For the time being at least, that thread "New Adam Lambert Single Coming Soon? Casting Info Now For New Adam Lambert Music Video!!!" is there....

Hi daydreamin!!

Yes, we Brazilian Glamberts are veryyyy happy... finally we'll watch Adam live... even if with Queen, it's ok, because we also love Queen!

The shows are sould out, then many Glamberts will watch Adam for the first time! Some of us will be going watch not just only one show, but 2 or 3 here in Brazil! The most of my "Glamberts" friends will watch 2 shows, like me!

And Warner Music Brasil is promoting Adam a lot!
And in this project video we'll show our love by Adam <3

glitzylady , thank you for your polite answer, for your patience, bear with me , I'm the epitome of a technophobe. I've already tried your solution, it has worked, my only problem still stays though, what shall I do when I don't have the slightest idea what the name of the thread is! I very much appreciate your work on this blog, that every day, each day , we, the visitors, Adam's fans have new info, news , pics, reviews, interviews to read/comment, shamefully , for those out of time, they are archived too fast.

Hi Pan!

My apologies I was unable to respond to you sooner, but I am glad that glitzylady was able to address your questions (thank you, glitzylady!). I want to add to her comments regarding our search feature, and forgive me for it lengthiness, but I want to be able to explain the process fully and clearly.

The initial search that anyone does, as described by glitzylady, is defaulted to the parameter of "by relevance," meaning that if you put a term in the search field, Blogger looks for that term usually by the number of times it appears in any post, but without any deference to the date it was published. Therefore, the results can be very mixed up chronologically.

As it so happened, however, the term "Casting" did yield the desired result of the post you were looking for, right on top.

What you and some of our other readers may not have realized is that after you initially enter your term and hit search, the top of the results will give you the following phrase:

"Showing posts sorted by relevance for query casting."

And then, on the same line, you will find two clickable options: "Sort by date" and "Show all posts" -- however, admittedly, those two phrases are a bit hard to read because they appear transparent, but they are there.

But if you click "Sort by date" then you will get the latest post listed first and it will be much easier to find what you are looking for -- if it is indeed a recent post you are interested in.

The "Show all posts" option doesn't seem to be necessary, however, because, from my time spent using the search function, all posts dating back from 2009 that contain the search term will appear anyway, whether you are searching via Relevance or via Date.

Pan, your point is absolutely valid, however, in that, indeed, if you don't know what the post is named or what is in the post, it is difficult to search for in the first place. The best that can be done is to take your best guess as to what word or couple of words may be in either in the title or within the post (the search feature will search within both) and hope the results yield that, but that does not always work.

Given this, and particularly in your situation, you were doing absolutely the right thing by submitting your inquiry in the comments section of the latest post available, which is the only method we have at this time, and one or more of the admins will address your issue and hopefully be able to provide you with the information or link you need.

You also mentioned about the fact that items are archived too fast. As it so happens, 24/7 actually does not have an official archive. The posts simply get pushed down the page and then onto subsequent pages every time there is new post entered and so you simply have to click on the "Older Posts" link on the lower-right corner of any page to go to Page 2, Page 3, etc. I do realize, however, that this can be a labor-intensive process if you are looking for something specific that you thought was recently posted but in fact has already moved down to Page 3 or Page 4 if we have had a busy news day.

The "Older Posts" button may be what you meant by "archived" and, if so, forgive me for over-explaining. But, actually, I do wish we had the capability to do a proper archive as, usually websites that have them, they come with a search engine that has a greater option of parameters so that you can really hone in on what you're looking for.

Thank you so much for your bringing up this issue so that I had the opportunity to further explain the search feature. And, also thank you for the very kind comments to glitzylady and the Admin staff -- we work very hard to publish the latest and best news and information on Adam. We all are so proud of Adam and what he has accomplished, and we hope that is well-reflected on 24/7 -- and we are equally grateful for our readers like you!

Hi, broddybounce, thank you. I've jut bookmarked your post and glitzy's , just in case.I know,it's not fair, I usually don't do this, to compare one blog to another, I have to do it this time to make my point.I used to post on Adam Official before I decided that Adam 24/7 was a better place for me. I'm a bit nostalgic about their way of handling this problem, I'm sure you're familiar to it, everybody is posting on AO but me. lol

broddybounce said...

Thanks so much for your lovely response, Pan -- we are delighted you are part of the AL 24/7 News family! :) AO does have a slightly more sophisticated blogging/commenting system; unfortunately, we don't have their budget! But, in my opinion, we make it up with lots of heart...
