A pre-Halloween poem. Since I'm not sure if it's a ghost or a vampire, it'll be...

GhostVamp, a daredevil...he waits for Dracula at the quagmire
Hmm I see a tall figure with a lean and hungry look
Watching and waiting on tenterhooks
Approaching GhostVamp at the misty brook
Dracula whizzes by, gives a surreptitious sigh
He loves GhostVamp's vocal cry
When he wails The Original High
Encapsulating the deserted mine
Resplendent Rocker hair, leopard eyes
He yearns for a taste of blood
Dracula offers some red wine
GhostVamp smiles, sips the moonshine
All at once Dracula transforms before his eyes
Revealing tainted fangs, he stabs
Quick as lightning...GhostVamp jabs
His precision praying-mantis hook at his throat
Dracula loathes...
GhostVamp mounts his gleaming titanium bike
Vrroom-vrroom...dazzles the headlights
Werewolves howl in the damp dark hollow
As the Rockgod silhouette zooms past droopy willows
His leggiero echoes amid shifting shadows
Then, out of a rock, all hell breaks loose
A winged shapeshifted Dracula swoops
Swoooosh!...Launches a vicious ambush
GhostVamp flicks his long dark hair
Flings the horned bird into the midnight air
Vroooooom...Angel of the Night
Fades into the mystique moonlight
With music to soothe the savage beast
Arrives at his ancient vampire labyrinth
Doong ! A well-attired butler lifts the skull figurine
Takes GhostVamp's long tailed coat
Ghost sits at a table of fragrant rosewood
He gazes...two nostalgic candles
Those were the days...he reminisces
But now...it's Another Lonely Night with Evil in the Night
Not for long...Doong! the doorbell strikes
Butler hurriedly opens the door
A handsome beau sashays across the floor
Two love-stricken Vampires pour all...amor...amor ! lwl!

@LAM-MY-do you ever have a dull moment? It must be so much fun to live in your active brain. I love your Halloweenie poem! Get yourself an illustrator already and start a line of wild and crazy children's books..........I took my eight-year-old granddaughter to Starbucks recently and sat down to talk with her. She had just finished reading one of the Harry Potter books and as we sat there in the booth, we wrote together an amazing poem about the book. It was so wonderful to gaze into her eyes and literally feel her excitement as magical words flowed from her mouth to assemble each verse of the poem ... witches, three-headed dogs, casting of wands, flowing capes. So much fun we had in those beautiful two hours. And, then, on the way home, I put on Adam's Original High and we happily danced in the car. She just loved the song, THESE BOYS..........Lam-my, you should have been with us that day to lend your amazing imagination to her spooky Harry Potter poem. Margarita Lady

Hellooo my dear Margarita Lady...
You are absolutely right ! I would have loved to hear your little granddaughter's words of poetry; well, looks like you got one budding poet on your hands. Strange as it sounds, I'm not into Harry Potter, not sure why though; but I love Alice In Wonderland, Lewis Carroll is one mighty fine writer, a genius. He uses simple beautiful sentences and the humour he portrays in seemingly mundane events and ordinary characters like Rabbit, March Hare and a simple name like Alice. And goodness gracious...'Off with your head!' seems so unbelievably real now!
I don't know how many times I have thanked you already for encouraging me to write story books. Thank you once again !! Actually, the real person I owe something to, for intruding into my story-latent brain is Adam ! I wouldn't have known that I actually love writing stories at all if he had not suddenly popped into my life via American Idol. lwl!
And Margarita Lady, I secretly envy you for being able to savour all your heartwarming experiences, your family, grandkids and Adam.
