Do you think it's bone? Somewhere, long ago, I seem to remember reading that some indians made breastplates out of porcupine quills. Of course, Adam's breastplate may not be authentic anyway, but simply a costume.

@ Nanbert.......I'm sure it isn't bone (but it should be) it's just a replica. The breastplate orginally was worn for protection in battle, so they were pretty sturdy. Porcupine Quills were used mainly for decoration. When I was a child I lived in Muscogee, Oklahoma for a time and my BFF was a Native American girl. I loved learning about her culture.

When we played Cowboys and Indians, the Indians were definitely "the good guys"!!!!!!
