they took the 'moo' out!
holy cow!
Blu LOl.
I actually really like this -- I think they did a great job. I actually don't miss the first two "moo"'s (sorry) -- but I do miss the 3rd one which, on the original recording, is not quite as loud as the first two but is contained in the bridge-to-chorus transition which completely gives me chills all up and down my spine! But, yes, I do like the GOREX version overall and can see that doing well in the clubs...
I think the Original version is better (sorry ... I never heard a 'moo' ... just a deep resonant 'yeah' like back in the 50's in all the 'doo wop' songs) ... but I don't get the same vibe as with the Original version ... guess I just don't appreciate remixes!! JMO

Hi Tess -- no, I agree that a lot of the remixes don't do the songs justice -- some of those DJs don't "get" Adam. But as far as a remix to give ALN some additional life in the club setting, I think this works, but let's see what else comes up, I'm sure there will be many.
But for regular radio airplay? Oh, yes, wholeheartedly agree with you the original is the best.
I totally know where you're coming from as far as the "YEAH!" in doo wop. Just for me, I hear that in the 3rd "YEAH!" I referenced above, the one that's at the end of the bridge, but not as much the first two times as you do. Adam said that the sound is a downshifted "Yeah," and my thought is that they downshifted it just a tad too much and I'd just like to hear "YEAH!" a bit more plainly -- deep bass voice, yes, but clearer phonetically.
That all being said, it's a fabulous song and great that it appeals to so many people on so many different levels -- and I am really happy that radio programmers have enough confidence already to put it on their playlists two weeks prior to the official release date.
