"Adam Lambert's Beautiful Voice" (Parts 1 & 2)
Over the years since Adam Lambert first came to our attention as a contestant on American Idol Season 8 (2009), much has been said about his amazing voice, his performance skills, etc.. Once again, Angelina Kalahari, an accomplished professional vocalist, a noted London-based Opera singer and author, who has performed for Queen Elizabeth, and, oh yes, is a long time Adam Lambert fan and admirer, and who has published several essays extolling Adam's vocal skills, his more than impressive & massive talent, his well-honed live performance skills and his rare & unique voice, which has all come together and has made him a worldwide star.. has given us another lovely essay. Adam is an in-demand solo artist, actor, past musical theater veteran (since age 10), a trained Opera singer himself, and is the current lead singer for the legendary British band QUEEN. Today, Angelina has once again given us insights into Adam's unique voice and what make him (and his voice) so special and beloved by fans the world over.
She has included her studied & thoughtful opinions on his voice, has given video examples of his live performances to illustrate her various points of view, as well as some recorded interviews with Adam's fans..

Every now and then, the world is gifted an important musician and artist in a profound way, an artist who inspires, stimulates and fascinates us.These unusual human beings seem to find ways of cutting through all the clutter and to somehow invigorate the mundane in our lives to exciting, new ways of seeing the world and the possibilities we have in it. Their messages speak to us in a way that we can hear and absorb, and it transforms us. Their words and music touches our souls and their courage, determination and successes can prompt us to follow our own dreams, whatever they may be. Invariably, they become our legends.
Lucky for us then, that one such artist, in the form of Adam Lambert, a Grammy nominated singer/songwriter and actor, has creatively taken the music world by storm.
What has fascinated me ever since I first came across Adam, is the question of what exactly makes his voice so different from other singers’? Why is it that I HAVE to listen to him almost daily? What is the pull? I have promised to dedicate a programme entirely to that question and will do so in due course. And I have previously answered elements of that question in other programmes and blogs, meanwhile, but recently, someone posed the question: is it merely a personal preference? The answer is: No, actually, there are elements that stand out in his voice that simply isn’t there in others.

I listened to the whole 2 hours, I love hearing voice specialists talk about Adams voice. How he makes everything seem so easy and relaxed, it takes years and years of practice to be able to do that. How he understands everything about his body and muscles to make all the sounds and breathing work for a song. I could go on and on, but I encourage people to listen to this "Sound bath".
She is amazing with her knowledge and analysis, and of course her complete appreciation of Adam. Reading her essays will further elevate one's pleasure of his vocals to a whole new level. On the other hand, it is tragic how the music industry and mass media has manipulated and de-escalated the public perception of artistry and who our gifted vocalists are. I am confident though that Adam will be recognized as the true artist of our time.
I read every word of these essays and loved them! And the videos that were posted to demonstrate her points are perfect. I loved hearing Underneath again! It's one of my favorites and certainly a song that should have been heard by millions. Maybe someday. Adam is SO special in my life. It's his voice, his personality, his skill at delivering a song with heart and soul and perfection. And to top it off, he very easy on the eyes. Other singers may top the charts all the time (and he's been there, too), but he brings something to the stage that is beyond anyone I have ever heard.
