Prepare to tie your mothers down, Hong Kong. Queen is coming to town. Possibly the biggest rock band in history graces AsiaWorld-Expo on September 28 as part of an Asia tour that’s taking in Japan, Singapore, Thailand and China. This is the first time the group, the creators of super-hits like Bohemian Rhapsody and We Will Rock You, has ever played Hong Kong – or China, for that matter, with a gig in Shanghai too – and it should be a right royal performance.
So, you’re playing our city for the first time...Taylor:
It’s fantastic. We’re very excited about coming to Hong Kong for the
first time ever. We’ve never played in China and never played in Hong
Kong. We very much look forward to it. We’re really interested to see
the reaction there and we’re very optimistic. It should be a great show.
I have visited Hong Kong in the past and I have had some incredible
experiences there so I’m very excited.
May: It’s
amazing. It’s extraordinary that we never could make direct contact with
China over all those years. We had fans there and we never really knew.
It’s amazing that we can actually come now. It wasn’t possible in the
old days. We wanted to come but I think culturally we were unacceptable
at the time.
Adam Lambert has actually played in Hong Kong before…T: Yes. He says it’s great. He says ‘I love China’. He’s obviously had good times there…

Hong Kong, my Cantonese ancestral roots. I've been to Hong Kong twice...flying low between two ridges of mountains, whoa! Stepped into the airport and lo and behold...I wasn't quite expecting it...to be greeted in Cantonese over the pa. I remember "loy bun" / visitors politely echoed over the pa.
Next I thought I might die and prayed Our Father, who art in heaven...lwl! I was plunging down 90 degrees from a high steep roller-coaster at Ocean Park.
An old Hong Kong lady scroll-seller asked me in Cantonese where I was from though I spoke Cantonese to her; she knew instantly I was no Hong Kong person, different accent. Hong Kong Cantonese is very poetic and beautiful so I guess they have every reason to fight for the survival of this antique language. Hong Kong is the only country in the world that uses Cantonese in offices, businesses and courts.
Have an invigorating trip/concert in Hong Kong Adam and Queen!
Hey Adam...Chock! (sexy/modern)
I think Hong Kongers will instantly love Brian because he too is quite chock! lol! and well, Roger very strong...not sure chock or not. lwl!
The scroll-seller lady I described above, was when our tour group had already crossed over to Guangzhou / Canton (old name)...the origin of my Cantonese ancestral roots but my Mom's family was from Hong Kong.
I think Adam is the most chock king I've ever seen; the crown simply fits him...king of chock! lol!
Chock in the morning
Chock in the evening
Chocking all the time
If you have not seen him...
He'll chock you to a grind lol!
Roger was one hot babe back in the day & now he's a "Santa" hottie. :-)))
Roger would look regal in the crown. I see him as the king and Adam as the prince.
Brian, of course, would be the jester-----wearing the Fools cap, entertaining with music.
But he would be the only one who had the King's ear and confidence.
Yep.
I guess Adam will e going to the UK soon to travel to Israel with Queen.
I thought he had already gone -- until I saw some of the photos earlier on this website. Of course, QAL is so "practiced" by now after all their touring together that they need little actual practice....they're all real pros. But they are also all perfectionists.
However, they will need a little more time to put together that Hebrew song (Shir Lashalom, I believe) that Brian liked. Maybe Adam could sing it in English -- it's so beautiful-- and Adam's voice is PERFECT for it. Keep your fingers crossed-- Adam seemed a little resistant.
