Billboard: 'America's Got Talent' Crooner Sal Valentinetti Talks Sinatra, Simon Cowell & Adam Lambert

Sal Valentinetti may only be 21 years old, but the America’s Got Talent crooner is really an old soul.
Backed by an orchestra, (Aug. 30) on the NBC talent competition, Valentinetti once again channeled his hero, Frank Sinatra, and brought swagger to the Chairman of the Board’s “That’s Life” in the AGT semi-finals.

To think America almost never got to hear the former American Idol contestant sing is unfathomable at this moment, but Valentinetti said his initial audition in front of Adam Lambert in Brooklyn was a “goof.”

I remember him, Adam said the audience would like him. I saw him sing the other night. Lots of swag and great singer.

Ads was right he does appeal to the audienc. He didn't have a chance on idol as Harry was against him from the start. And not sure Brochetta would have a clue what to do with him. Vegas is a perfect ft.

I fell in love with Sal just listening to his exchange with Harry. So funny. And of course I would like to see him in concert. To bad he's not going to be able to out sing Brian Justin Crum. Adam knows him, also. (Sal never did say if he could sing country or not, lol)

I think Harry C. was miffed b/cuz Sal took the $100 instead of going for double or nothing on the lyrics!! Wonder if that's why Sal didn't make it past Hollywood week on AI!! Sour grapes Harry?? ADAM was a Class Act Judge!!
