THE Isle of Wight Festival has scooped its second national award in as many weeks.
Last night (Wednesday) the event, headlined this year by Queen, Stereophonics, Faithless and The Who, was awarded the best festival for 40,000 or more people at the UK Live Music Business Awards.
There was also a personal accolade for organiser John Giddings, who was recognised for outstanding contribution.
It comes just a week after the Isle of Wight Festival won the Family Traveller Award for best family friendly festival.
Last week, the Isle of Wight Council revealed it had received an application from the Isle of Wight Festival to waive the £55,000 annual fee to use Seaclose Park.
