Yea, like I've always commented, 'Who Wants To Live Forever' is a Queen song gifted to Adam by Brian and Queen. This video interpretation is heartfelt and sincere though kind of like a sorrowful dirge; rightly so as many of the featured Artists died young and several due to drugs. But I view this powerful Queen/Adam song with a positive aura though its connotation is quite depressing. These Special Artists didn't die in vain; they left a trail of Light lingering in people's hearts and minds. Adam picks it up and spreads it further and farther; especially that ball of laser light symbolising Adam's farewell to his beloved Mentors whom he came to discover, love and admire as a child.
Adam brings such passion to this song & such a touching video, remembering those that were lost.
Really LOVED this video!! ADAM's vocals are Perfection!! Thank you for sharing!! This made me weep!!tess4ADAM(LAMBERT Outlaw)
Very touching VIDEO ... lovely tribute to those icons we have lost. Adam's voice is unequalled and thrilling as always. However, doesn't it seem a little ironic (and presumptuous) to edit Queen orchestration OUT of its OWN song... which is being used in a video tribute about its OWN original front man, and its OWN friends and peers? I'm kind of a "purist" about things like that.Besides, the ORIGINAL Queen orchestration is more dynamic and MOVING than the replacement music which has been edited in, IMO. Check it out the original on Youtube under "Queen and Adam Lambert, Isle of Wright, Who Wants To Live Forever".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bc-AmpIVJWM Hurray! I think I got it! Above is the link to "Queen and Adam Lambert - Who Wants To Live Forever - Live at The Isle of Wight Festival 2016" - (Queen Official).Check it out. Who can replace/improve on that?
Idly scrolling through old comments, I came across this thread, and was surprised that no one else was concerned that Queen's orchestration was edited out of the above video in favor of the music of some unknown orchestra.Put it another way... what IF Adam's voice had been edited out and replaced with someone else's in this video? Would no one find it upsetting? And, if anything, Queen had a much bigger part in the lives of the people being memorialized than Adam did....especially Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, and George Michael. Plus it's THEIR song, their arrangement, their performance!
