This is indeed gorgeous...I extolled its virtues about 4 threads ago, when Mirela Gheorghini entered this same link in the comments.

I love this new approach to QAL's "Somebody To Love"...slower, lingering on every lovely note. From the first word , we get to savor Adam's splendid voice, with its perfect tremulo, soaring over the arena.

Oh, Adam's rendition of STL has been famous for Adam's flashy ability to hold a perfect note, or group of notes, at full power, for an inhuman period of time...but now the song has been slowed down to also show off the thrilling beauty of his voice in the quieter sections, lingering lovingly on each perfect note. Wonderful!

Nanbert -- you are absolutely correct -- this was via a suggestion I saw in the other thread from Mirela -- and I apologize to her for forgetting to include a thank you -- which I just did in an update to the post! Thanks for pointing this out.

You're welcome, broddybounce...but I actually didn't realize that. I just thought two people came across the same great performance at different times, and wanted to share it. It IS splendid!

What an amazing voice. Can’t wait until he comes to Australia with Queen next year.

First of all, it's great to see more of you here, broddybounce! I always enjoy your contributions. I have to say that I LOVE Adam's "first QAL tour" STL very much. Love the tempo and the fringe-y outfit that went to well with the song. He was so playful and silly with song. But this new version is excellent, too. It's a real voice performance. He's still playful and sexy, but in a different way. And I love his schtick with Brian. The two of them have such a sincere affection of each other. It just glows all around them.

Things have been crazy haven't had time to stop by lately it's been all I can do just to watch some videos, but something happened Saturday I wanted tell u all about so taking the time. My daughter her friend and I went Branson Saturday for my birthday, while there we went to St . James Winery for a wine tasting. The winery is lovely but the guy doings the wine taste not so much. First he made fun of the way I was sniffing the wine which put him on my list and not my Christmas list. Then he ask use what made us happy besides wine. Of course I said Adam and included Queen that's when he called Adam an arrogant brat and said he should have went with Queen right off Idol but his head is as too big!!!! I was about to make his head a little bigger with s giant knot on it when my daughter stepped on and warned him to shut his mouth. I was so upset he knew nothing about Adam but wanted to call him names. Needless to says I didn't buy any of his wine and left a big piece of my mind will h him when I left. I then emailed the winery bout his rude behavior and told them I would no longer be buying any of their porducts!!!!! It ruined my whole trip but I had the presence of mind to get his name and included in the email . Moral...:don't mess a Glambert we love our man!!!

Rose Petal, It's great to have such passion as a fan. But I think if I had been in your place, I would have said to this guy, "Oh well, to each his own." And then I would have dropped the issue. We rarely change other people's minds about things like this, even if the other person's opinion is not based on face. People aren't interested in facts. It's too bad that both of you left the discussion with negativity toward one another.

Like you said everybody has their own opinion .... my opinion is that I was a guest and a paying customer im a business .... and some jack ass without any solicitation form me starts going off about someone that I have really deep respect for.... and again in my opinion it was rude and it was uncalled for.... if he had simply said well you know I really don't care for him I would've said I understand that he's not everybody's cup of tea... but that's not what he did...he was calling him names even when he saw that it upset me ..I wouldn't let someone get by with calling one of my kids names and I won't let somebody get by with calling Adam a name without standing up for him. That's just me guess I'm back to silent mode now y'all girls have a good day

Rose Petal... I can imagine your anger and frustration. It seems these days there are more and more "Trolls"...except now it's in real life too, not only anonymously on line. That salesman was a good example....by deliberately cutting down Adam, he was cutting down you...and building up his own ego, by trying to make it seem that he had better sense. Behavior like that usually stems from the "Troll's" own low sense of self esteem.

I dispair at the direction civility and manners are going these days! By the time Trump leaves office (oh, soon, PLEASE!) our country will have lost so much ground that we may never even get back to Obama/level manners or before.

I'm glad you reported him....perhaps that was his chance to learn when to keep his mouth shut. I doubt it... but one can always hope. Besides, the winery really lost out on that exchange, not you or that guy...and they deserve to know why.

Dee R Gee is right..many "people aren't interested in facts". I say, "THEN THEY SHOULD LEARN MANNERS!"...and how to treat a customer! If being fired is what it takes, so be it!

Amen to all u said. I don't expect everyone to like Adam but I do expect to be treated with respect when I'm a customer of business. He ask me a question I answered and he started in. I didn't try to educate him on virtues of Adam I simply said I didnt appecicate him calling someone I had a great deal of respect for names. He didn't seem to care he called him a couple more. Now when I think of my birthday trip I'll remember him:(

Nanbert said...

Rose Petal...Sorry your birthday trip was ruined. I know the memory of that day will linger like a bad taste in your mouth for a very long time!

In a sense, this is a good lesson for everyone.... it takes so little to change the mood and the thoughts of others...and oneself! Maybe you should have written a note to that "Troll", explaining how he affected your day/birthday....giving him the benefit of the doubt that it was not intentional... and suggesting how he could/should have handled it as an intelligent adult civilized member of society....NOT PREACHY or ACCUSATIVE... just matter of fact.

This might not effect the result you'd like, so I suggest you avoid giving your return address, so as not to be deluged with nasty return mail.

Of course, giving no address precludes your getting a apology, which would be very nice and help take away the "bad taste" (yours and his). Your decision. Think about it.

Rose Petal, I think you did everything right considering the circumstances. He definitely has an ego problem but has no right to demean you. The only thing I might have done differently than you is to ask him why he didn't say straight out he was looking for an argument when he asked the what makes you happy question. You certainly were not trying to start an argument by answering him.
You go girl, stand up for yourself and our Adam.
I don't mind calling that guy a name, he was a weasel. Sure would like to know the wine brand, but I know you can't post it here.

Rose Petal, I agree with what you said. It was a very emotional exchange between you and this guy. And I certainly know what it feels like to hear someone diss Adam, esp. when their facts are wrong. I am very emotionally involved with Adam, so I really get it.

And just so you know, I totally agree that this guy was a complete jerk and should not have spoken to a customer in that way. He was the who started the negative conversation, not you. It would have make my blood boil, too. When something like this happens to me, I try to tell myself, "Just let it go," but I know how hard that can be. Hope you're calming down a little. So sorry it happened on your birthday. Hope the rest of the day was better.

Rose Petal, should be happy that Adam does not have a fan of such a bad quality. Only the great people love Adam.
