Oh my! Has anybody seen the Sunday (March 4) issue of "PARADE" yet? The cover and cover story is all about the new "American Idol" TV series... titled"Idol Makers and Breakers"...and mainly discussing the new line up of judges.

The article goes on to brag on AI's winners Kellie Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. And it briefly mentions Jennifer Hudson, Katharine McPhee and Chris Daughtry as successful finalists, but not winners.

BUT the article DOES NOT MENTION ONE WORD ABOUT ADAM LAMBERT!!!!!! I am SO ANGRY about that omission!

Whoever wrote that article does not know anything about American Idol...or..also possible.. DELIBERATELY avoided mentioning Adam. Most people these days consider Adam Lambert as ranking along with Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood as the TOP talents that emerged from the original American Idol series!

Being included in that article would have been excellent exposure for Adam here in the U.S.A....Grrrr! Inexcusable omission!

I know how you feel. Far too often Adam's name is omitted when a list of top idol alums is published. I just don't get it. He is obviously one of idol's biggest success stories. What are they missing and why? He's a world-wide star. Beats me.

Recapping...

My live running commentary, typing / listening live simultaneously as it happens; rather brain stimulating, no time to backtrack cuz I don't want to miss the real time that is there and then only for seconds; won't be able to catch it back, gone. Adam and Queen going non-stop at a very fast pace.

http://mixlr.com/adamites/ ... 2 Mar 2018 QAL / Melbourne 8:15pm / Singapore 5:15pm

Real time:

It's starting right at this moment as I type...Frank is teleporting in from Saturn...Space Odyssey intro...

Very loud welcome applause/shouts... Boom Boom Pa Boom Boom Pa... We will We will Rock you... Hammer will faaall...

Someone shouts: He is coming out! Stone Cold Crazy...wild guitar and wild Adam wails.

Tie your mother down...Tie your mother down...with all your love toniiight... jazzy, fierce Rock; Adam scales Mt Everest note.

Another one bites dust hey hey yeah all right Boom Pa Boom Pa...
Crowd shouts Whoa! Whoa! Yeah!

Ooohhhh....You gonna take me home tonight.. Fat bottom girls you make the Rock and Roll go round...with your love toniiight...

I am taking leave of this live running commentary...will be back...need to take my bath lol! ~ ~ ~ (actual time)

Roger Taylor...

This rage that lasts a thousand years
Will soon be done
This flame that burns inside of me
Magic magic...
Wah, Brian's guitar riffs are superb...These two remaining Queen veterans are so impressive! I want to give them a curtsy, English style lwl!

Someone said: That was magic.

Hey slow it down...What do you want from me...Just don't give up...I'm working it out...
I won't let you down...What do you want from me...They love it!
Brian gives it new guitar backing riffs...

Aha, my favourite ...I want to break free...I want to break free...
I've fallen in love...God knows I've fallen in love...
I don't want to live alone...God knows...I waaaant to breeeaak free...

Oooooo ooooh You take my breath awaaaay
There is no time for us...There is no place for us...
Who wants to live forever oooooh yeah...
Who dares to love forever if love must die!...So touch my lips with your finger tips...
Who wants to live Foreeeever...zenith

Ghostly celestial guitar by Brian sounds like deep outer space...and falling into a time warp / wormhole...chooom chooom chooom jzhhaaaaa...Now a bit of bagpipe effect and back to chooom chooom chooom jzhzaaaaa
Huge applause for Brian.

All we hear is Radio ga ga ...Clap Clap
Radio goo goo

All we hear is Radio ga ga
Radio, someone still loves you youuuu youuuuu

Very loud applause and shouts whoa! whoa!

Nothing really matters, anyone can see
Nothing really matters...Nothing really matters to me
Any way the wind blows...

Thank you Melbourne! Good night!
Wah... applause so long, deafening, whistles...continuous

Freddie Mercury eeeeeaaah loh

Boom Boom Pa Boom Boom Pa ... We will...We will rock you... you got mud on your face...you big disgrace...

Adam's lungs are super powerful; still hitting those wild unforgiving notes right to the end...We are the Chaaaampions of the world...

Off air.

Surprisingly, it's actually very energising, writing, keeping pace in a running live stream.

P.S. Re the review ....

I think Brian/Roger's Adidas trainers signify the belief in comfort & I'm all for comfort. Leave the mile high boots for the young/younger set!!

Nanbert said...

fluttsp...You are quite right...I love the MELBOURNE review! The reviewer is obviously one of US...a Queenbert/Glambert!

And, as far as Brian's Adidas are concerned, he is eminently sensible. After all, he is on his feet...and occasionally jogging up and down the runway...during the entire show...amazing!

Adam Lambert's artwork being auctioned tonight at Elton John's Oscars party to benefit AIDS. @adamlambert. #Glamberts #QAL

I interpret it as... heart for love...also, yin yang / male female.

Adam, I like it very much! Profound, that's you in a very concise precise symbolism. Elton John saw right through it!

Another MELBOURNE review. There's an Editor's Note after the setlist re WWFM & Pink & there are comments by Glamberts on this review & another one I've previously posted, which let the writers of these reviews know their thoughts!

Yeah, this review was pretty strange. It almost totally ignored Adam. He mentioned him maybe twice, saying he did a good job. But NO specifics. And he said that Brian and Roger could have handled all the vocals of the show by themselves. This reviewer obviously does not know anything about Adam, period. He almost went out of his way NOT to mention him in any specific way.

And the WWFM/Pink thing is good example of people not understanding what a "cover" is. Pink wrote the song and gave it to Adam. She did not recorded it and release it herself first. It was Adam's song. His hit. Nice that the editor posted a correction, but it took attentive Glamberts to do it.

Sometimes I just want to scream.

I wish the "commenters" had taken the reviewer to task about his obvious reluctance to give any credit, kudos, or description of Adam's contribution. And why include that photo of the lighting for WWTLF without the music (with Adam)...or any explanation?

And, of course, the idea of Brian and Roger handling all the vocals thenselves is ridiculous!

Dee R Gee, Shellback, Max Martin & Pink wrote WWFM for Pink's "Funhouse" album but it didn't make the final cut, & then the song was given to Adam. Pink included the song on her exclusive international releases of her "Greatest Hits ... So Far!!!" album & she's sung it in concert too. I guess that's where the confusion lies about WWFM being a cover.
