Good morning Adam!
Flying vocals of depression
So relieved you crawled out of the twisted tunnel
To feel something...
'Better than nothing'
Tells me you almost reached rock bottom
But never doubted your strength
Because you could kick-ass right from the beginning
Love is a double-edge sword
It works at the same time hurts like mad...💞💟

Ghost Town has come of age
200 million counts to date
That's helluva lot of ghosts
No wonder Adam got into a rage
He survives the pangs of fire
Trapped in a cage...nowhere to run
A vulture clawing his mind body and soul
But Adam has one saving grace
His Voice spreads out to millions
Their reciprocal synergy drags him from the brink of fire
Invaluable, from sage Brian and Roger
Never forget your value...they advocate
Turning point...Open The Oscars...The 3 Rainmakers 💦🌨⛱🏝

Original - Adam Iceberg

An Adam iceberg is approaching fast
A kaleidoscopic spell it'll cast
Trespassing is here to last
Revolutionises as it comes to pass
Adam sits pretty at the top of his game
What's there to blame or shame
This humane six-foot-one of a handsome frame
Illuminates the globe with his florescent flame
Honest to a fault, from the centre he veers
Only to be scoffed, reproached to adhere
Clearly he's the one to revere
I see no necessity for trivialities and fear
Well-groomed hair propped up in avant-garde fashion
Showered upon with approving tantalisation
Tables are turned for shaven sections
Adam is a dare when it comes to scintillation
At times Glamberts need to gravitate
Lest they lose their balance in a highly-strung state
It constitutes a make or break
I'm referring to those gyrating long legs
很漂亮 hern piau liang...a Shanghai fan declares
Very beautiful...she drools and shares
Adam, come to the east, explore its unusual wares
Temporarily release your worries to the air
Wonder what else is in his magic pot...
Pour us all that you've got
We'll wallow till we drop
Rock On...ascend steadily to the top
Humongous talent can't be stopped
An exalted special blessing
Vouches equality and lots of helping
Different beliefs, gender, ethnicity...his thing
A tower of strength and power...he sings
King of Pop-Rock always brings something
Shoot like a stylish archer, Adam, with your bow and arrow
Your pot of gold hangs at the end of the rainbow
That grand aquarius destiny of yours is about to unfold
We, the Glamberts of the world, we absolutely know!

Happy New Year!! 2012 Here we come!!

Let's see what have actually come to pass...

* iceberg: strong focus on the Antarctic/Arctic melting ice / global warming
* globe: he has travelled / performed all around the globe 2012-2019
* Equality : advocate for LGBTQ; given it a face, a voice, a platform
* pot of gold : his multi millions and properties
* come to the east : well, he has come 5 times to Singapore and the region;
* expecting his 6th this Sept 2019...aha, this is new prophetic.

I love this song so much, but am I the only one who thinks if this was put out by Adele or Sam Smith, it would have shot to #1. It’s so frustrating, such is life, sometimes

Dee R Gee said...

Nanbert, that's a very good article about Adam's career so far. And it's pretty accurate to how he has told it himself. It's amazing how much has happened in the past ten years. We're on an amazing journey. We're following a life, not just the songs.

Patria said...

@Allysa Mentor
I agree with you. But note that Adele and Sam S are British, Adam is American.
(Imo life is frustrating Most of the time ^_^)

Reading the Nicki Swift article, for some unknown reason, reminded me of QALs early tours when the guy in charge of the equipment wrote 'notes from the road'. (can't remember if that was exact title) I really enjoyed the backstage insight, looked forward to it and still miss it. It would be nice if QAL used him for this next US tour coming up this summer.

Thanks MiReLa for the link. Another thanks to Nanbert for that article. I truly believe what Adam said about those Executives. All these years Adam has worked hard for his career, he did everything right, had and has his fans, many great songs on his albums, likeable artist but these Executives in my opinion are a bunch of "old cronies, who are GREEDY!!! They didn't give a Damn on the talent but on who's a "gimmick" and can bring in big money! No surprise why there's artists who are terrible and yet popular and gain all sorts of attention. I hate that so much, it's WRONG!!! I hope and pray Empire label will give Adam everything "he was denied"! Seems like he likes this label he said "they're dope".

Sue Smith said...

I read that it was really good article. I was going to tell about it. But thanks Nambert for putting the link up here.

Sue Smith said...

I mean the article and Mirela the link.
Oh just thanks to both Nanbert and Mirela.

Nanbert said...

Dee R Gee...you're right. A very apt remark...'WE'RE FOLLOWING A LIFE"!

There's a lot of responsibility in that "following". There's so many ways, cumulatively, that we (Glamberts) can enhance and help promote that "LIFE"....and so many ways we, and others, can damage it.

Adam is considered to be the finest male singer of this generation by many in the know---worldwide--(certainly by me!...by us!)...and his talent is too precious to be ignored or maligned, or taken for granted.

That's why it's so important to always be as positive and supportive of Adam as possible. It's nice that we (Glamberts) already have the reputation for that. Adam SO deserves it!

Nanbert said...

P.S. That means it's our responsibility to tell the world what an unequalled singer he is....but also to show how likeable/loveable he is...that he's a COMPLETE package...handsome, intelligent, fun, kind, a long-time and steady friend...and a REALLY NICE GUY! I sincerely believe that side of Adam is almost as important as his talent in bringing him new fans...and keeping them.

Patrina . . I remember the Queen guy writing those "notes" I was following him and

for some reason he was called home and went off tour . . I think

Patria said...

blu, weren't the postings interesting and fun? Lot of it was downright funny. It also sounded like extremely hard work with very little sleep

It was my understanding that he was hired only for the US/Canada tour. Sounded like Queen hires a local crew for each tour.

I posted on the previous thread, but I'll say it again here. Since we've all calmed down a bit, I hope people remember to stream, download, purchase Adam's Feel Something. I Spotify as much as I can each day and I know there are other streaming services, too.

The song has plenty of life in it and I'd love to see it showing well for a while yet.

Adam's new official single will be out before long, so we can really push hard for that one, too. Streaming, viewing, etc. It ALL helps. It's really the best thing we can do to support him.

It's kind of fun to banter about personal stuff, but Adam is looking at a pretty busy year, and the more we give him music our support, the better off he'll be.

Dee R Gee said...

And I'll assume that the more a song gets streamed, the better chance it will have to get some radio play. Radio play has not always been Adam's strong suit, so to catch the attention of radio peeps, we should give him music all the streams and downloads and views that we can.

Some people say radio play doesn't matter much anymore, but I disagree. Those who DO get big radio play really reap huge benefits. It does matter. Radio reaches listeners who are necessarily seeking out one song or one artist. Listeners can discover someone on radio just by accident when they are listening. Personal playlists require the listener to pre-choose the songs (I realize that Spotify kind of "creates" these lists, too, according to what it thinks the user might like,)

But generally, radio is still a "discovery medium." You just hear things you weren't necessarily looking for. I think Adam would love to get strong radio play. It's been hard to him all along the way. There are many reasons why that has happened, BUT...….

Giving his songs some huge streaming attention just might help with the radio play thing. Sure can't hurt.

Dee R Gee said...

Mistake I made above. "Radio reaches listeners who are NOT necessarily seeking out one song or one artist."

Sue Smith said...

It is really important to stream and stream some more. I remember hearing on TV that KW couple years ago had the first number 1 album that was nearly all streams. Important to buy which only counts once. But streaming is how alot of them get high on the charts now days. Both ways important. Also getting on TV and promoting to keep it up on the charts.
I'm sure that will happen with the official single. Feeling Something is a lovely song sang beautifully by Adam
In the mean time stream this lovely song.

Does any person know where to stream that does the most good for Adam. SPOTIFY,YT?

Lam-My said...

I just heard a cover of Feel Something; the beginning was okay; then when it came to the semi-falsetto, all hell literally broke loose, guttural, and I couldn't complete listening. Only then did I realise wah, so difficult to sing this song; not only the change of key, the tremolo, power, emotion...feel depression; a tall order. 😗

Patria I just voted for Feel Something, was hard tho because I love the other videos too. Thanks for the link, didn't know about it.

Poll statistics: What's your favourite Adam Lambert performance? @ScorpioBert 5h

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D1AhYW_X4AQyYV-.jpg

I feel Adam took it to a different level at The Oscars; because the tension is high, all the top performers, directors, producers have extremely high expectations in a world-renown Academy Awards ceremony, and he came through with flying colours and splendour.

Song, yes, Feel Something 60% indicated, okay. I'd give it 90% proficiency level.

I agree with you Dee R Gee. Do our best and really go to town also om official single. It ok to banter about personal stuff but when it starts getting mean and degrading and with crazy assumptions that is crossing the line.
When the blog administrator repeatedly ask you to stop and you purposely ignore her that's doesn't seem ok to me either. I wrote that last night the long comment I made. I decided I would not send it.
Then I came on here today saw they had no intentions of stopping after Gl asked repeatedly. I thought somebody should back her up. So I did. Even tho I was sure they did not care what I had to say. I think Gl may finally got through for a little while maybe.
From now on they can do what they want I'm not bothering with it any more.
I rather spend the time streaming Adam.
Good year a head for him I hope he finally gets the credit he deserves for his music.
I think our goal should be to help his professional life right now. Adam will take care of the personal one.

Of course, hindsight is always better, but I've been wishing that the video version of Adam singing live(in session) "Feel Something" was the first/only one to be released onto the internet I must confess that the earlier version with that "gauzy", rather abstract, photo was attractive, but did not enhance the song for me.

It wasn't until the riveting close-up of Adam singing LIVE....was released that I was really drawn into the song....big time! I feel certain other people, especially Glamberts, must react in the same way. It's impossible to take your eyes off him...and the song is enhanced a thousand-fold, IMO.

Cameras love Adam!....me, too!

Dee R Gee said...

The gauzy version isn't considered a music video. It's just a visual to accompany the audio. I've played both versions a lot. I agree that I like the music video better, not just because I can actually watch Adam sing the song, but because the visual version just sounds warmer and more persona. And the back-up choir is more audible in the visual version, too, and I like that very much. that back-up really gives the song a lovely depth.

STREAM, PEOPLE!

Recap:
Adam accepting a Warrior figurine / China Music Awards 2013...well, like I always picture him, a warrior who fights to the last, using a totally different weapon yet just as powerful; he conquers the mind and heart...like he sings: 'When I'm in I own your heart...' it can be interpreted as physical but works in the figurative sense as well...love not war, not bullying, takes you further.
By the way, bullies can't stand alone so they bundle together, the blind leading the blind, egging one another on; still can't win! haw haw! Why? because basically they can't figure things out with their own brain, so on and on they follow, regardless right or wrong, fair or double-standard; like picking on another's supposed redundancy/fault and the next minute do exactly the same. People have eyes, you know? So tread carefully! That way, it may take one onto a higher plane of thinking.

My Mom often took me and my little brother, sister to these Chinese/Cantonese Battle Operas where the Generals donned in warrior regalia, flags on their backs and 2 pheasant long curved feathers which I nick-named cockroach feelers, as a child.
Beijing Operas are highly symbolic, those flags they wear on the back stand for General, Power and Camp...dook dook dook chang! they race around the stage on 5-inch platforms, wailing at the top of their voice.
