Nice interview! I'm VERY anxious to hear this new album of Adam's. Duh! Aren't we all?!

When I first heard the name for the Album "Velvet"....after already hearing "Feel Something", and now recently hearing/seeing "New Eyes", I'll admit to a bit of alarm that he may be wandering a bit far afield from his more signature vocals.

Now, in the above interview, when asked to describe his album, Adam said..."Glam, Smooth, Sensual". Oh my! That sounds more like a "crooner" than a "belter"....and certainly is where "Feel Something", "New Eyes", and even the name "Velvet" seem to currently be.

Don't misunderstand me...I LOVE "Feel Something" (especially the in-session video) and "New Eyes"! I just kind of hope the entire album won't have the SAME "flavor/sound". I would miss Adam's uplifting exuberance!

And, I know I'm an OLD WORRY-WART!...and certainly being very premature. Undoubtedly, Adam will present us with a great VARIETY of new songs displaying his astounding vocal "Bag of Tricks" that ONLY he is capable of. As I've said before...."maybe he's only broadening his Spectrum". Yes...that MUST be it. We'll know soon enough.

It's Adam's voice, and Adam's album...and he will take us where he wishes. Still....have to confess to a bit of trepidation. We've waited so long! I wonder if I'm alone in these thoughts?

He as much as said the next song coming out after QAL tour is more of that kind of song. The more high energy or faster pace song.

Should have stated, however unnecessary,....I WILL follow Adam WHEREVER he takes us. He is the best living male singer of this generation!

Actually he did out and say it was a faster pace song. The next one and a continuation of the video. Rather second part.

I think Velvet will ultimately make us very happy!

Yes I love both of those songs. I've heard people in the music business complement Adam for more controlled vocals. Most people know he can blow the roof off with high notes ect but on it's not called for all the times.
The vocals on NE are simply gorgeous and fabulous without the vocal aerobatics we all know Adam can do in his sleep. It's a great change up.
I'm looking so forward to the album certainly not worried about the vocals in it.
