Noise Club is an LA-based songwriting/production duo comprised of Chris Petrosino and Rob McCurdy. They produced and co-wrote, with Adam Lambert and Asia Whiteacre, the track "Closer To You" from Adam's newest album, VELVET. They were invited by blog Pensado's Place to discuss their career which included this portion about the production behind Adam's song (thank you Gelly for extracting and posting!).

Very interesting and impressive how Adam just tells them how to "do this", "do that", and then everything quickly falls into place during a recording session. But we shouldn't be surprised....James Corden just said that Adam was a meticulous planner, and Brian May has remarked on Adam's work ethic and perfectionism.
It all has paid off in his amazing performances, but as Adam has said, he is his own worse critic...and "lives" too much in his head. I hope he is finally learning to relax and enjoy his success. Of course, it's awfully hard for anyone to live up to the standards he's already set for himself!
I LOVE hearing musicians gush about Adam's vocal skills and his overall music ability, esp. his perfect ear for every note. These guys were a bit in awe I think. And they work with other singers, too. Very interesting to hear about the technical aspects of recording the music.
Got the Grammy Museum performance tomorrow (Mon.) and The Show Must Go ON on Netflix! A couple good things to look forward to!
The Grammy Museum interview is out and it's really really good! It's long and very informative. And he sings three songs at the end!!
I'm sure we'll see it posted here soon. It's well worth the watch.
