Adam Lambert Picks His 'American Idol' Favorite: Todrick Hall

Last year's runner-up also tweets support for Casey James and Andrew Garcia.

"[Todrick is] def gonna surprise us!! Mad talent!! Def the full package," Lambert tweeted.

And the "Whataya Want From Me" singer didn't stop before congratulating competitors Casey James and Andrew Garcia as well. "Casey is def the real deal. Authentic. Andrew Garcia's too," he added.

While each of the contestants has their own strengths, Hall and Lambert come from the same musical-theater background. Lambert brought his performance experience from the Los Angeles cast of "Wicked" to "American Idol." On the other hand, Hall, a 24-year-old "actor/playwright" from Arlington, Texas, acted beside "Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino in Oprah Winfrey's "The Color Purple" and was part of the Disney World productions of "High School Musical 2" and "Beauty and the Beast."

Lambert's Twitter support is also a bit nostalgic, considering "Idol" alumni like Kelly Clarkson joined Team Lambert last year.

Season-five finalist Chris Daughtry also put in his two cents about the men on Twitter, simply writing, "Ouch...that's all," after Wednesday night's live-performance show.

Lambert's opinion on Hall didn't quite match our top 12 men's report card. Instead, James' acoustic version of Bryan Adams' "Heaven" put him on top. We voted Hall's take on Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone" as satisfactory, but the kid showed guts.

Casey James is certainly this year's eye candy and tall, oh how I love tall men.

He certainly is. BUT Kara and the rest need to stop with the sexual harrassment of Casey. He looked so uncomfortable up there during the "assault". The man is from Texas and you knwo what they say about Texas......everything is BIG in Texas! ;)

Yeah, Kara, don't mess with Texas.

Casey James is good looking but did the teenage girls vote for him? I thought they usually vote for the cute one? I forgot about that other guy but he got bad reviews yesterday.

This season is SO BORING! It's not like I expect an Adam every year but....

This is one of those seasons that has NOBODY to offer bet yet just like every single season Randy says it's the "best ever!" {eyes rolling}

Todrick does seem to have the full package but he needs to listen to the judges. Changing up the melody to the point that I didn't recognize it! Missed Ryan's intro (Kelly Clarkson's "Since You've Been Gone) and didn't realize what he was singing until they showed the clips at the end of the show and I realized, "I know those words!"

After Adam, it's painful to watch. Adam is so sweet and positive, but I agree with Daughtry-OUCH!No wonder Simon is leaving. He knows there will NEVER be anyone like Adam.

I have been reading a lot of very unsavory press about Todrick and his involvement with a touring production of the Wizard of Oz that he was producing/directing. It appears that he asked parents to pay for their childrens' auditions to be in the play ($50 or $75)(that seems fishy to me from the get-go), and then many of the productions were never booked, or were cancelled. No money was ever refunded. He has been referred to as a scam artist and even Diana DiGarmo has spoken out about this controversy (apparently he publicized that she was going to star in one of the shows and it was untrue). A lot of parents are up in arms about him being in the top 24. Having said that, I agree with Daughtry's comment about this season -- OUCH. Without Adam, the mediocity is shining through.
