Now that Gokey has released his album and debut much less than Adam, Adam is officially the sales crown of Season 8. He debuted with the highest number of copies sold on the album charts. In addition, Adam has the biggest selling album to date with over 550,000 copies sold in the US alone.

From Rollingstone.com
"Gokey’s Number Four debut marks the second-best Idol opening week by a Season Eight contestant. Adam Lambert’s For Your Entertainment opened at Number Three in November 2009, though Lambert’s debut week sales of 198,000 far exceeded the 65,000 Gokey sold. Gokey did out-chart Kris Allen’s self-titled post-Idol (at Number 11 in November) and Allison Iraheta’s Just Like You, which peaked at 35."

I am happy about that. But being with Gokey in country, I hate to say I believe he will out sell Adam in over all USA sales. But.......internationally Adam will outsell him and anyone else from Idol. Country music doesn't sell that well outside the US, and they just love Adam all over the world.

I heard Danny Gokey sing his single on American Idol, and I didn't think it was very good. I am not sure if he will do that well or not. To me, Adam sings so much better than him. I think Adam will continue to do well in this country and also a lot of other countries.

IMO, Adam is the most talented artist to enter the music industry in a very long time. He leaves me speechless when he performs. His vocals give me goosebumps. It is no surprise that he is the top seller and he will continue to sell. Way to go Adam!! Keep making beautiful music. Can't wait till you go on tour.

Adam's vocals outshine every artist today...but it's the whole package that is Adam, articulate, handsome, funny and not a mean bone in his body. He takes criticism and runs with it, improving every thing he does. There is no fair comparison between Adam and the others...he is one of a kind and we should embrace him as the other countries do!

I 'm happy for all of the Idols as I think Adam is as well. They were a unique group that genuinely seems to care and support each other. I'm glad that Adam is getting the exposure and recognition that he so richly deserves. He is a once in a lifetime phenomenom and I hope fame wont isolate and prevent him from living his life like Elvis and Michael Jackson. He has such a loving heart.
