For anybody who ordered the UK Deluxe version of the album,Trespassing, where did you order it from?I want the album in hand, not a download.Thanks.

@1:56 I ordered the UK Deluxe CD from Amazon U.K. It arrived pretty quickly and love the two bonus songs on that version. Hope this helps.

This makes so much sense, because NCOE would be GREAT to dance to in a club.....I don't do much of that..but you never know. Blasting full volume in a club is what much of Adam's music was made for...Pop That Lock is another one that would be reallllllly great in a club..So YAY!!!!

Radio is missing out........

glitzylady said...

Oh, and Naked Love, and Shady...and Cuckoo and Kickin In....and.......

Congrats Adam! That's what Adam wanted...to make great fist pumping, booty shaking dance/club music! Yay! Mission Accomplished.

@glitzylady

Couldn't agree with you more! Since seeing Adam debut Pop That Lock in Costa Mesa, I'm really hooked on that one for dancing..not to forget about Kickin'In, Trespassing, Shady, Cuckoo and the list goes on. What an amazing CD.

I don't understand what this BB chart is. Does it equal sales or just how many times it's spinned? thanks

JAK here.....Ye--ah.....as my Grandma would say "Adam is walkin in high cotton and hangin out with the high steppers". For those of you who don't hang out in Southern climes.....that means it's GOOD!

I love Pop That Lock, hope eventually it will be a single. I loved Adam singing it when I was at Winstar in those sexy red pants!!!Adam in the red pants, not me,that sounded unclear lol!

It begs the question, what's up with the radio stations?

Anonymous said...

Thanks,anom.2:20PM for the info.I really love Map..haven't listened to By the Rules except for a snippet.I think lots of the songs on Trespassing would make great dance songs..am happy that NCOE IS #10 on the Billboard Most Played Dance Clubs songs!Adam seems very happy about that!I wonder what color hair he'll have on the single art pic or pix(??)I really think he'll change it back pretty soon.

glitzylady said...

@CT and @Anon 2:45 PM
Yes, POP THAT LOCK Live was beyond AWESOME at Costa Mesa!!!!!!! It got a little cut short at Fantasy Springs, due to Adam's sudden exit but still fabulous...It was one of my favs before I heard (and saw) Adam sing it LIVE ...but it seriously became possibly my favorite one of all off Trespassing as a "get up and shake your a** and dance" song..Love blasting it in the car..although its a little dangerous dancing and driving! I'm thinking most likely Cuckoo (or maybe Trespassing) will be the next single..but I think it would be a VERY wise decision to release POP THAT LOCK as a single at some point. Its perfect for clubs..and in my humble opinion, radio..but we know how that goes..Never give up, I always say!!!

Well done Adam for NCOE sucess on BB.
I would love for Pop that Lock to be the new single think it would capture peoples interest,. I love the quieter emotional ones but I know he needs a bright dancy one.
OT my birthday to-day my friend and I have the day off and are going out to lunch.
Another OT cant wait to see some more photos of Adams new "Do"

happy Birthday Jadam NZ glad you found this site and post here, Have great lunch.

So happy about NCOE ont he BB dance charts! Adam must be happy. He may not find his biggest success right now on the BB Pop chart (though I predict he WILL at some point), he sure is doing well overall. International sales are good, with more to come, hopefully, with the Japan and Australia shows. I get tired of those here who keep saying his sales are so low. Actually, they're fine. We all know that Gaga, and Bieber, etc. rule the roost right now, but Adam is finding his groove.

Can't wait for the new single! Adam says he's finishing the artwork. And those videos from Japan and Australia---can't wait to see that platinum hair and the kick-ass outfits!

I find myself constantly at the gym replaying pop that lock and kickin in!!! Lovethem both. Then cool down time, all the ballads. This album really is awesome!!! The only song I don't get into is Naked love and I have no idea why- just don't like it and skip over it everytime. Can't wait (hopefully this weekend to see the real new look on adam). That only picture doesn't tell what-so-ever how he really looks. What's taking so long lol

I was emotional when I read NCOE went up and is now at No.10 as Dance song.
I kept voting for NCOE and saw it went from No.17 then 16, then 9, then 4, then 3 then last week was already at No.2 and should be at No.1 this week from Saturday.
But now it's all blank when I go to the site. I don't know what happened here:

It would do well to remember that a lot of iconic artists didn't do well right out the gate - David Bowie for one - and look what happened when he did explode. I foresee the same happening for Adam, it's a tough business and sometimes even tougher to break into. Often times it is better to achieve success in a slower fashion than overnight, as it lasts longer. Personally, Adam's doing great....steady income, rubbing elbows with some icons, constantly in the media, in a loving relationship, travelling around the world, fulfilling his passion of making music and sharing with the world, and last but not least he's happy as a pig in poop! LOL

Anonymous said...

@5:09 The musiqueplus from Canada has taken NCOE off their voting list. Most stations have stopped spinning it,so really ready for the next single. Those DJ's better play it!

Anonymous said...

I was walking into the movie theater yesterday and heard NCOE playing in the lobby. It is on their spin. I stopped and listened and smiled. I live in Hawaii and this is a national chain of theaters so I am hoping that it is playing all across the nation.

glitzylady said...

@Newfie Duck
I agree with you..Adam's doing pretty darn well, all things considered. He's come a long way from his cockroach infested first appt in LA, and his studio appt that he was living in in Hollywood before Idol. He has successes in so many areas of his life, and in the truly important ones at that. I'm not worried about his path to success. He had a big boost from Idol and look at all he's accomplished! He's not your average singer, WGWG or Female Diva. He's unique, hella talented, and a really lovely human being who's in love and has a wonderful and supportive partner. He's paying his bills and having the time of his life..and he'll do well, and yes, may be iconic. He already is in some ways, to me. He's taking that route that is going to give him longevity in the music biz: his work in music is talent based, not gimmick based. Pretty proud of that guy! Now if we can just get radio play...Just because....Then maybe we'll ALL be happy as Pigs in Poop!!! LOL!!!!

@6:35 This is not anon 6:00 pm troll. Unfortunately that was the case with 94.7 Fresh, but this week they have stopped playing it.They have a playlist you can check. They were really good to NCOE and I hope with the next song they will spin it. But NCOE is at the end of its life thus a new single which I think will be Cuckoo or Trespassing. Most likely Cuckoo.

Anonymous said...

I don't think Cuckoo is this kind of song you can hear in the mall or beauty salon or movie theater! Same as Tresspassing. Didn't you forget the lyrics with lot of "ass" in Tresspassing and"fuck" in Cuckoo? Also, I hope it won't be Kickin.

OMG- all these other top songs on the radio have no meaning, can't string 2 meaniful words together, headache screaming and rapping and the radio is worried about a word that everyone in the world has heard of?? I just don't get it! What has happened to a good vocal today, isn't that what making music should be about?

OK, I'm 6:00PM.
I'm posting here the comment of someone from the Michael Buckley's thread which is my reference and I am not a troll. I hope the original poster won't mind.

Here's the full comment:

"It's not the label, blame it on the owners of the radio networks.
I've talked to djs at our 2 most popular stations in our large city. They have said they would play Adam's music if they could, they love new album and one has interviewed Adam at a network occasion. Adam is on their 'no play' list. No play no way. He is blacklisted. My fiance is an engineer at one of the stations and speaks with these guys all the time.

Someone on this site gave info about how to contact media and communication vps of largest radio network and even address if anyone wanted to write. Did anyone write? I did and received no response. Figures. One of largest investors is Republican Tea Party Conservative Christian contributor to Romney SuperPac.

Adam doesn't 'fit their mold'.
I wouldn't either, I work in a Planned Parenthood center doing mammograms. That is I work there till the election, if Mitt's in then I'm out since we'll probably be closed as he has stated in his speeches.

Don't blame Adam's label, blame the fact that in present society Adam is labeled. Sort of like in The Scarlet Letter. USA-USA-USA!"

Pharrell Tells Associates He Is Set to Become American Idol Judge

PHARRELL WILLIAMS appears more than likely to be christened the next judge on “American Idol.”

According to a source close to the rapper/producer/designer’s camp, Williams has told members of his Star Trak Entertainment record label that he will slide into one of the slots vacated by the recent departures of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. Williams had reportedly been negotiating with the reality show in recent weeks but we’re told that he’s informed his closest associates that he’ll be at “Idol” auditions later this month. Williams will join Mariah Carey as one of the new judges and his relationship with the five-time Grammy Award winner and “Idol” stalwart Randy Jackson was a factor in his decision. Williams is “super tight with Mariah and Randy,” says our source. A rep for “Idol,” whose 12th season is scheduled to debut early in 2013, had “no comment.” A spokeswoman for Williams did not get back to use by deadline.

@7:40 thanks for that info- I believe you completely- adam is blackballed from alot of radio stations. i have never heard his song once and yet as soon as all the others have a new song- it's played immediately (to death) It's wrong, but does not surprize me in the least in the way this country is so separated.

Anonymous said...

I had that address and just threw it out today, without writing. Now I want to - does anyone have it?

Anonymous said...

The radio might edit out swear words but what about all the other words especially in rap songs. Sorry to say my granddaughter listens to LIL Wanye words to rhe rap songs are terrible. I was in the Doctor office yesterday & WDWFM was playing then daugther was in burger king & it was playing in there. All is good with Adam.

Anonymous said...

@6:00 sorry some of us called you a troll. What you posted is what I was imagining deep down but thinking, how can something so unjust take place in today's society. My only question is why then did WWFM get played so much by all stations and actually still does get played?! So not sure how much I believe or not. We will just wait and see when the next single is released.

Anonymous said...

Adam has said that radio play is very political. Ain't that the truth. I can't figure out what the fear of Adam is. Other gay artists are played, right? So, is it just the gay thing???? How could it be? His music is just as good as anything out there. Even better. And TP was highly reviewed. I want to know specifically WHY, that's all. What does RCA do about things like this?

So, it looks like Pharrell. He's not a household name to lots of people, but I guess that's not a criteria for being selected. That leaves on slot open. Probably a country singer. YEEEE HAAAA!

glitzlady 5:58, Ditto to your whole post.
Pop That Lock would make me happy as the next single. Won't happen, but.....

Just thinking do you think it scares those heads of the stations got scared to know that for the first time an out and proud gay man got a #1 album?

Anonymous said...

WWFM never got the radio play other songs at the time were getting but accidently became a hit. Some songs get 12,000 spins at their peek but I don't think WWFM ever got that many at the time. Congrats to Pharrell he will do great and Adam thinks the world of him.

Anonymous said...

I wish Adam would have nipped the AI rumor in the bud ages ago. I know he said he wasn't asked but he could have tweeted a deff no.

Anonymous said...

What I noticed about WWFM and even IIHY, there were more spins in the northeast where my family lives, more liberal area. In the South where I am,more conservative they played them but not as much.I'm sure people view me as very liberal here.

Anonymous said...

The Pharell story still isn't totally confirmed though. I would enjoy him as a judge, but get Randy off and put Adam in.

Anonymous said...

At the risk of being called a conspiracy theorist, I do believe there
is a strong lobby in this country to take over and move us backward, erase many of the gains we've made. And dear ones, Adam is a poster boy for what they want to eradicate. Equal rights for all.
The new mantra is Equal rights for all who believe what we believe.
Adam is not a quiet faceless gay man who lives his life not rocking the boat. Adam thinks he's as good as anybody else (I think he may be better than most in acceptance and tolerance of our differences). He's not pushing his agenda on anyone, but he is trying to encourage individuals to be brave and open and expect that life will get better for them. I hope that's so.

The news programs last week showing people lined up, smiling and laughing as they waited in line to support the policies of the owner of Chik-fil-a made me sick. Some were interviewed and it was like a party with the guests saying Hell no, we'll never pass a law for same sex marriage! This will show them! Where is this, the land of the free or Berlin 1939?

There are still many independently owned radio stations in this country and Thank God for that, they are free to play the music they like and their listeners like.
But it doesn't help that the biggest corporation that owns most of the stations features 90% right wing content. The trio of Beck, Limbaugh and Hannity work there.
I'm mad at them right now (like they know or care) cause they censored opinions of Geo W Bush and other Republicans. When the Dixie Chicks at a concert in London made their infamous remark about being ashamed to admit that Pres Bush was a Texan, (not exactly tactful) they were dropped from the stations playlists.
Okay, that was their right, but how come when the certified idiot Ted Nugent spouted off and said that Pres Obama's administration were comparable to coyotes and needed to be shot and encouraged voters to chop Democrats heads off in November (hopefully not literally) and called our president vile, evil and America hating and said that his administration wipe their asses off with the Constitution (damn) that radio network offered Nugent air time to again spout off his views and express his support for his candidate. What? It's offensive what the Dixie Chicks said but not what Nugent said?
Yes, I guess I am a conspiracy theorist, cause something scary is going on and here is Adam right in the middle of this insane time trying to get a break. His optimism is a beautiful thing to see, we don't really know Adam but I'm sure he doesn't have a mean bone in his body.

Anonymous said...

Anon 9:26 - I completely agree with what you said and you are NOT a conspiracy theorist, in my opinion. Seems it is sadly a fact. The right-wing politicians and those billionaires that fund them are on a mission to send this country back 50 years or more. If Romney gets elected, our democracy will be bought and paid for by these people and you can kiss democracy goodbye. As you say, Adam is in some ways the poster child of everything these people don't want, so he suffers greatly. Such a sad and frightening thing for this country ...

Anonymous said...

@9:26

I agree with most of what you expressed most especially your last line because that's how I see ADAM and why I love him - he's got no evil bone in him.
And he remains humble, the very thing I admired in him while on Idol, on top of all his amazing talents.

@Anon 7:40 PM
I believe you..I've had two different experiences (which I've talked about before, but here they are again) with DJ's saying they can't play the music because of radio "politics" and one who told a friend of mine that "Adam doesn't fit their demographic" so they won't play him..at least the first two singles got absolutely not one spin at Seattle's biggest KISS Top 40 station. Seattle is a pretty darn liberal city with a large GLBT population and is very "gay friendly"..So I don't think the fact that Adam is gay has a whole lot to do with the "demographic" the station is referring to. .. Has to do with the Mega-owners of the station, ClearChannel: very conservative.

Same thing at a Portland Top 40 station... The DJ we spoke to there said he personally loves Adam and his music, including the then-single, BTIKM, but couldn't play it..Orders from above. DJ's have little to no control over the play list. People often do not believe it but it is absolutely true. By the way, these were stations that Adam did promo in March. The Seattle station didn't even play his music while he was on the air for the interview. The Portland station, at the Bing Lounge, is where he first publicly sang "Never Close Our Eyes" (gorgeous live and acoustic..and where I met him: YAY!). The stations gave him feedback about NCOE being radio friendly, etc..and must have had a lot to do with NCOE being the second single... Sigh. So.. hoping the 3rd single fares better.. Apparently it also has a LOT to do with the requests the station receives, but if the song is not played, and most people are completely unaware of the song....and the song is not on the station's official playlist..well, good luck getting requests, which they won't honor anyway it seems...

I'm going to post a link about how to play this "request" and evaluations game..and which talks about how radio picks the music., which we can all have a part in, if we know how to play the game. I have a friend who is with another Adam Lambert site..and she posted this article right after we all got back from Costa Mesa and Fantasy Springs..We had some conversations about this topic, and she had some interesting input and experiences..I'll post it in my next post. I did once already but these things tend to get lost..

"Before I go on, I want to be sure everyone knows that I am not claiming to be an expert on this topic. In general, my “expertise” seems to lie in the realm of collecting useless information in my head and stringing it all together into cohesive topics and much of my background is fairly technical (which is why my blog posts are usually short and to the point.)
What does this all mean? I’m pretty good at connecting the dots. To this end I present the following dots I’ve run into on this topic over the years.
Dot number one: A dozen or so years ago I signed up with a survey company called Luth Research. They call me occasionally to see if I qualify for a paid research study. If I qualify I go to their office, discuss a topic, they record it and I walk out with money (usually betweeen $65 and $200). A couple of times a year I get called to do radio survey. As I usually avoid top 40 radio like the plague I’ve never qualified for a music listening survey.
Dot number two: On August 26, 2010 I listened to a podcast by Juneau & Xena’s Salon with guest Radio DJ Chloe. She’s a DJ (if I remember right she works for a radio station in Long Island NY) and she talked about her experience DJ’ing for a Top 40 radio station. You can listen to the podcast here (the topical discussion starts at about 38 to 40 minutes into it):[Go to the website to listen]

What I got out of the broadcast was that DJ’s have absolutely no control over what they play. She comes in to do her shift and she is presented with a list of music that she will play and when she will play it. She has very little to no lee-way to play things that are not included on the list. She even mentions at about 45 minutes in that calling in a request that is not on the pre-aproved list does no good.
Dot number three: I am currently looking for a job and regularly look at several different sections on the job listing section of Craig’s List. One section I recently started trolling is the “Etc.” section. Marketing companies advertise different research groups there and I often see one for radio stations and music such as the following:
http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/etc/3137579991.html
Help your local radio station (San Diego)
Harker Research is seeking individuals in the San Diego area to join the Music Listening Panel. Your local radio stations want your opinions on what songs YOU want to hear.
As part of the Music Listening Panel, we will contact you once per month inviting you to take a 5 minute survey rating music. For each survey you take, you will earn survey points towards gift cards from your choice of national retailers. If you are interested in learning more about the panel please click the link to start rating music and earning points:

Part Two of post at 10:26 PM above (From Adam Lambert Official Unofficial Website)

"My conclusion: Although I’m sure calling in to request a song isn’t a complete waste of time, in general corporate run radio stations pick their songs based on the results of these types of polls.
If you really, want to make a difference get involved with the polling process. Find out what company the radio stations in your area hire to do the demographic testing. In San Diego (my market) I often get calls from Luth Research and they have offices in other major cities as well. Call the research company and tell them you want to be on their Focus Group call list. You might have to take time to fill out a survey over the phone or online so they can get your demographics so they can start calling you. Here is Luth Research’s online survey arm. I think it might cover parts of the country where they don’t have a physical presence.
http://www.surveysavvy.com/?m=284262
If you can’t find a local company that is doing this type of polling, try looking on your local Craig’s List “Etc.” job section for these types of one-time paid surveys.
The down side is that once you sign up to do surveys these companies might start calling you for other types of surveys (I’ve done everything from taste testing Subway Sandwiches to discussing various washing machine options), but the up side is that if you qualify for a study you get paid. I do it all the time and make at least a couple hundred extra dollars a year doing it.
One last thing. You should be aware that all of these surveys are run by demographics. You must fit a certain demographic to “qualify” for the study. Based on how the survey I found in Craig’s List panned out, it *seemed* that since I said I was “over 42” I didn’t qualify. Take what you will from that.
The bottom line is from what I can tell radio stations are not run by DJ’s any more. They don’t get to pick out the songs they play. They are given a playlist and told what to play and when to play it. The lists are created using the above types of surveys. Get involved with the survey process to make a real difference.

@9:26PM and @GlitzyLady well put! Love your comments! But this is 21st Century and most people don't listen to radio much. Well maybe in the car somewhat. Most people have iPhone that they connect to their car dock or they have satellite radios. Some newer cars have Pandora and bunch of other subscribed radio stations in their cars. I talked to many young kids, teenagers and early 20s. When I asked them if they listen to the radio, like old days we used to do. They all said NO. They either find their favorites songs from their friends, WORD OF MOUTH, or they watch, listen, and buy their favs. on internet or iTunes.

One thing we know for sure is Adam has a lot of news buzz about him for every little thing he does (ex.: his new hair do) and he has a strong fan base. Adam for sure is finding ways to get news buzz. We as his fans should make his music viral on internet by buying his new single and gifting it and THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO WATCH AND LISTEN TO HIS SINGLE ON YOUTUBE, VEVO, iHEART RADIO WEBSITES, MTV, VH1, PANDORA, SPOTIFY, AND OTHER LEGIT. INTERNET MUSIC STREAMS. Give his new single huge view counts on these streams.

We can only win this battle against radios by buying and gifting his new single on iTunes and make this new single viral on internet websites by viewing and listening. We have total control of this situation on our hands because we are present on internet mostly.

RADIOS: NO TRESPASSING? YEAH, OUR ASS! WAIT TILL YOU GET A LOAD OF US WITH ADAM'S THIRD SINGLE!

glitzylady said...

I also must say that all that said..I still keep up the hope that the next single WILL get radio play..The eternal optimist! And I have faith in Adam's talent and music, that he'll win them over..We just really need to keep working to help Adam do this...And do it in a smart and within-the-system way..One that might have some impact. I'm not naive but I also believe that Adam has the massive talent that needs to be out there and HEARD. I don't think Adam has given up and neither should we..

To quote Dory in "Finding Nemo"

Dory:"Hey Mr. Grumpy Gills... When life gets you down do you wanna know what you gotta do?" Marlin:"I don't wanna know what you gotta do." Dory:"Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim."

Good advice.. : ))))

I posted few days ago about Idol judges should match their rival, The Voice, and somebody mentioned they loved my idea. I wonder if that someone who agreed with me was a person from Idol. This what I mentioned about Idol judges:

Adam Levine - Adam Lambert
Cee Lo - Pharrell Williams
Christina Aguilera - Mariah Cary
Blake Shelton - Brad Paisley

Come on now FOX Broadcasting, Adam Lambert has tons of news buzz around him. He changes his hair do and the whole world goes bunker. Just imagine with every comment he is gonna make he will crash the whole internet. Just do it FOX! Make Adam the 4th judge.

@Anon 10:47 PM
Thanks! : ))

I do know that many do not listen to radio these days. I personally don't either really : )) ..sometimes in my car (we listen to peaceful CD's in my place of employment, a dental office..no radio there either)..but what I do know is that Top 40 radio wields a lot of POWER when it comes to songs being "known" and classified as hits or misses...We may not listen to traditional radio so much any more...but it seems we still need to help Adam's music get played on it..Its a measure of success. And counts a lot in the various music award shows, in nominations, etc..And we need Adam on those shows..Exposure to him and his music. It has a significant bearing on the Grammys and nominations..So radio spins and sales count a lot. Maybe not so much as we go into the future, but for now, yes. So that's why we still have to request and promote Adam's music for radio play.

I personally download all of my music (CD's etc..) into my iTunes acct and make my own playlists for m own enjoyment..And play individual CD's, which according to the trends, are on their way out. Digital is the way of the future. And its not all Adam on my playlists and on CD's by the way, but he plays a significant role in my music listening. I assume that's what will be happening more and more, and is now. ..We all have the ability to control our own music listening...and do.. At some point, there will have to be a new measure of success that includes radio play as only one of many criteria but most of us don't really wish to have our personal listening monitored..so again, radio play still counts in a major way.

Complicated...Phew!!!

I agree with what you quoted about polls and surveys being suited to a certain demographic. Why just tonight I saw a poll that shows Obama ahead of Romney by 7 points. My problem with that poll was that it was skewed to 75% democrat over 25% republican. I'm no mathematician by any means, but to be fair, or rather, accurate, shouldn't a poll be split 50/50?

The billionaires of the US are mostly liberal...Gates, Buffet, Zuckerberg, the late Jobs to name just a few. Rupert Murdoch, a liberal billionaire, owns 3/4 of the liberal American Media, but his holdings include 20th Century Fox and Fox News. Murdoch is very anti-gay and anti-gay marriage, so perhaps there's the answer we've all been seeking. You don't necessarily need to be conservative to stand on the side of heteros.

I agree with @anon 10.47am aug 9th.
I don't know anyone that actually listens to radio, especially youngsters, teens etc. They get all their music info from friends, online etc.
Billboard has said that it will start including on line streaming/spotify/pandora etc to count towards chart placements. Hopefully that will make a difference to quite a few artists. I think that means that if radio won't play what we want then we can choose our own playlists on these sites.

I love all the songs on "Trespassing" and "Naked Love" was the 1st song I fell in love with the 1st time I heard the album.

The Idol judges - Mariah Carey, possibly Pharrell Williams and possibly Brad Paisley. Hmmmmmm, if this is how the cookie crumbles, it'll be the 1st year there's a c&w judge so possibly he'd be pushing the contestants who sing c&w. I don't like c&w music at all. Adam has the highest regard for Pharrell and has publicly said so, therefore he could be a good choice. I wonder if Mariah has any say over who are to be the other judges. Obviously, it needs to be people she can work with comfortably. Maybe Randy will remain a judge. I so want this Idol judge thing to happen for Adam but I'm bracing myself for it not to happen.

I didn't know Rupert Murdoch is anti-gays and anti-gay marriage. I've never heard or read that. Live and learn.

Randy is going to be a mentor now, apparently. All slots have not been filled yet.

I can't believe that these radio stations or radio conglomerates don't play ANY gay singers' music. If sexuality is the real issue, then they wouldn't play ANY gay singers' music, and that's not the case. It's got to be something about Adam specifically. Can't imagine what. He's certainly not the most outrageous, over-the-top performer out there. Someday, I hope we get a real answer.

Adam is so dangerous to "right" because he is sooooo damn likable, lovable, admirable, reasonable... all those "ables"! That is the issue at the heart of it. He is not "safe" like a Neil Patrick Harris, and even so, he (Adam) is so likable. Yes to whoever posted above that is encouraging for people to be themselves, not cookie cutter, etc... not-cookie-cutter and not conformist causes problems for "right". Adam is so appealing to a "demographic" that the "right" thought they had all sewn up in a pretty little bow: 30-60 year old smart reasonable influential woman who are rearing children and grandchildren... and turning their families onto Adam's brilliance, in and outside of music... a very very dangerous notion to the "right" conservative. My way of dealing with it: continue to expose everyone around me, without being a total kook about it :), to Adam's music prowess as well as his prowess in being a good human being, a good citizen of this planet!! JMO. :)

Adam's honesty & being true to himself scares the hell out of the USA media!!! The media here focus on BS!!!
That's why we LOVE ADAM LAMBERT!!!

I believe Rupert Murdoch owns Clear Channel which owns over 850 radio stations. I know he is a conservative. He is Catholic but his mother is Jewish. Since if your mother is Jewish, supposedly you follow your mother's faith just like ADAM. But Murdoch declares himself as Catholic, not Jewish. I don't know how he feels about being Jewish. I don't know if he is aware ADAM is Jewish.

@ ABO 11:20 P.M.

Where did you get the idea Rupert Murdoch was a liberal? He identifies himself as a conservative Libertarian (that is definitely not a Liberal!) That's Ron Paul territory.
In the 2012 elections Murdoch has been critical of Romney's competence (aren't we all) but tweets "Of course I want him (Romney) to win, save us from socialism, etc." Those billionaires really run from the idea of having to give up any of their money!

In the last year police and the government in Britian have been investigating him for bribery, phone hacking and corruption. While FBI have been investigating him in U.S.

Fox News makes me barf!

We naturally said "No". He believes every word out of the bubble headed blonde on Fox News' mouth. We no longer go to visit him, but he is welcome to visit us as long as he doesn't come armed!
So sad, I remember when he was sane. BB (before Beck)

Fascinating post @August 10 12:39, fascinating and scary; a scenario that is playing out all over this great natio of ours I think. I'm from East Coast, not rural, but not urban, and I can see my parents and my inlaws falling, just a little bit, prey to that dreaded Fox news! Scary!! I do my best to combat it. I don't mind a little slant, a little spin... that happens in news, cable news especially, but FOX OUTRIGHT LIES, OUTRIGHT MISREPRESENTS THE TRUTH. Scary. Thanks again for post.

12:39 and 1:18

Oh how I pity you thinking that Conservatism is "catching." Haven't you ever heard that with age comes wisdom? Your parents and inlaws have lived longer and been through more than you have. They lived in a country with more freedom than we have now. They would like that for you and for your kids. You're blind, deaf and dumb if you don't listen to them.

Can you list just one thing that this current administration has done for you to better your life...just one?

Can you list just one accomplishment that the current administration has completed other than health care that is going to cost you and me a fortune in taxes?

Are you so ignorant to think that this administration has won your vote by giving you "free" contraception that you will be paying for in your taxes? Oh by the way, for the rest of your life?

All liberals do is blame Bush and Fox. Open your eyes and ears before you are caught in the grip of socialism or worse. Before you look around you and ask what happened to my country?

Is Fox News so powerful that it makes people bypass all the other news channels (CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC) and their local affiliates? Does it somehow hypnotize people when the tv is off and force them to tune in and watch? Is that how the Fox News ratings are higher than all of the others combined? Man oh man, that's quite powerful! I'll bet Fox even puts things in your drinking water or soda to compel you to watch. Ohhhh Fox is so evil. How do you know Fox lies if it makes you so sick you never watch it?

Just wondering.

Anonymous said...

I always wonder how can liberals say Fox lies if they say they don't watch? And that O'Reilly is the biggest liar?

How come then The Factor is the No.1 opinion show for the last 12 years??? Are all Fox viewers stupid? I think the ones who are stupid are those who say that Fox is brainwashing when they don't even watch. Why don't you try?

I had some visitors one night and my TV was tune in to O'Reilly. I know they don't like him but I didn't budge. That same night they went on to say they didn't know he was actually very fair and gives same chance to both sides and said they they learned more from him.

Why don't you ask yourself why an opinion show, The Factor has been at the top of ratings all 12 years unless you think most America is DUMB!

Anonymous said...

Liberals don't think for themselves, they rely on others to do that for them. They hear from a friend that Fox is biased and they don't watch for themselves to see if it is, they just pass that message on to other liberals. I guess they would rather watch Chris Matthews who "gets a thrill running up his leg" just thinking about Obama and call that news.

I call them ignorant because that means uninformed. I do not call them stupid because that means unable to learn.

@ 2:10 P.M. Can I name one accomplishment of Obama's administration? Maybe more than one.
First week signed order to audit govt. contracts combating waste and abuse.
Oversaw the creation of more jobs in 2010 alone than Bush did in 8 years.
Saved a million jobs in the auto industry---Romney advocated letting the entire industry go belly up.
Signed legislation to protect consumers from unfair & deceptive credit card practices.
His American Recovery Act saved 300,000 jobs in rhe education field. Provided funding to states and Homeland Security to save thousands of police and firefighter jobs due to be cut.
Signed an order banning gifts from lobbyists to any employee in the Executive branch.
Ordered 65 executives who took bailout money to cut their own pay till they had paid back bailout money.
Negotiated a deal with Swiss banks that now permits US Govt.to gain access to bank records of criminals and tax evaders.
Signed Am Jobs & Loophole Act which closed many loopholes that allowed companies to send jobs overseas and avoid paying US taxes by moving money offshore.
Signed Hate Crimes Prevention Act making it a federal crime to assault anyone based on their gender or sexual orientation.
Demanded Pentagon repeal Don't Ask-Don't Tell.
Signed Fair Pay Act restoring protection against discrimination of women.
Second day in office signed executive order reversing Bush (Cheney) torture practices and putting the US once again in compliance with the rules of the Geneva convention.
Ended the Irag War (biggest blunder in our history)
Eliminated Osama bin Ladin.

I have a hundred more if you want them.
And I do watch Fox News that's why I know it's slanted and most often incorrect or just downright misleading their listeners.

It was easy to see 'the handwriting on the wall' as soon as President Obama was elected ,when that sterling example of the Republican Congress, Mitch McConnell stated that the party goal was not to reform health care, end the wars, give civil rights to all citizens, stimulate the economy or work together for the good of all citizens. No, the Republican goal was to see that Barack Obama only served 1 term in office. What does that tell you?

And yes , I watch fox to be informed as to their shenanigans , and then I watch CNN and msnbc and networks too.

What's that famous saying?: all that is necessary for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing!!

I watch spinning misrepresenting Fox to be aware of the webs and mistruths they are weaving, weaving to blanket and cloak those who will NOT take the time to really look into things more deeply. THEY RELY ON FEAR, instead of the free flow of information, how very sad

Anonymous said...

I'm neither Democrat nor Republican but a landed immigrant not too long ago.

Watching CNN, MSNBC, Fox, etc, all have their agendas.

Funny that someone who points out about Fox' shenanigans could not say the same for MSNBC & others when I do really find the ones at MSNBC disgusting in their spins.

Funny that you only mention Fox in the negative as you say about their misrepresentations but NEVER say anything about other stations' spins and misrepresentations and mistruths!!!

Funny that I find you don't see that what you accuse about Fox applies the same way to MSNBC & others.

Funny that I find you are not fair at all in your assessment but very biased against Fox. How very sad.

With regard to that famous saying: All that is necessary for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing!!

Well, as an immigrant, I say it's why I'm thankful there is Fox to show us the other side of the coin when all you hear from the rest are THE SAME SPIN!

IF only you were rather fair and balance in your presentation, I would give you credit. But sadly, you were spinning.

Anonymous said...

@ 9:56 P.M. This is 7:08 P.M. I would be happy to make a case against CNN and MSNBC and CURRENT if you'd like. Like FOX, in among a few factual statements they are opinion "shows" not newscasting.
The 3 major networks attempt to do actual "nothing but the facts" news reporting and yet it's sometimes clear which way the individual newscaster leans, left or right. I'm old enough to remember when a news program gave you the news and then you formed your own opinion as to what it meant and how it would affect you and the country. Today they seem to think none of us have the intelligence to form an opinion or do extra research to be sure what we are being fed is the truth. Well they could be right, when a news "show" quotes someone and takes their words out of context and twists them in a knot and you don't look up the original and complete quote then you are an uninformed fool. Laziness is no excuse for ignorance.

@ 2:10 P.M. I already look around and say "what has happened to my country?" Political parties in the past differed on the methods to reach a goal but had many goals in common for the people they represented and worked together to achieve them. Look at the pitiful mess our Congress is today, no wonder they have such a low approval rating.

"before I'm caught in the grip of socialism or worse?" What are you expecting Nazis? Socialism in the 21st century is not Hitler's socialism. Many of our allies have socialist governments that operate just fine and not a concentration camp to be found. That boogeyman crap is out of date.

Now maybe I went overboard when it came to listing the things this administration has done to benefit the country. As I recall you asked if I could name one thing.
Alright, this is my one thing. President Obama ended the war in Iraq and brought home my nephew wounded but in one piece, I'm very grateful for that. His brother came home in a casket in many pieces during the Bush administration after 3 tours of duty in that worthless war.

Anonymous said...

I am 8:59 and I do not bow to anyone's intellect, that's exactly the point.

Truthfully, I was rushing a bit and was going to also make mention of MSNBC's spinning. I haven't gone back and reread everything, but if I didnt' do so, I meant to mention that these CABLE shows are indeed opinion shows, as was mentioned above, absolutely! That is why I include the network shows in my viewing (they try, as is their historical agenda, to do the job of reporting the news as fairly and well rounded as possible). Everyone has an agenda, from a newborn baby to an elderly citizen and everyone in between, of course, BUT Fox out and out misrepresents the facts and the truth! I have been watching and dissecting news since I was 15 years old. MSNBC has a heavy agenda, they spin, SPIN, they do not purposefully misrepresent the facts and the truth to within an inch of the truth's essence. CNN tries harder to report the facts as they are, or perhaps as how they see them, but they, CNN, does a better job of MSNBC of having both "sides" of any matter represented.

It is your right to see things differently. I do NOT subscribe to your line of thinking. Fox News absolutely positively goes way beyond "SPIN", which most cable news (opinion, yes, Current too) programs do; Fox goes way beyond spin...into the territory of classic misuse of the facts. I am not newly a viewer to American News and opinion programming, I am a seasoned student of them!

11:09 I am truly sorry for your loss and that of your family. I lost a niece as well and miss her daily. Her 2 brothers joined the Marines and she wanted to serve her country right along with them. My nephews are all in Afghanistan now.

Your last paragraph speaks volumes because you didn't finish the last sentence. You didn't mention that Obama sent 10's of thousands of our troops from Iraq right in to Afghanistan where just this past week 30 of our soldiers were killed. Did you hear that on your nightly news? Probably not.

Do you remember when Bush was in office and the news gave us a body count every day, night in and night out? Since Obama was elected, that no longer happens. Why do you suppose that is? It certainly isn't because no soldiers are dying over there.

I also find it suspicious that Obama just this past week spoke to the parents of Bowe Burgdahl for the first time. Bowe has been held captive by the Taliban for three years and the Commander In Chief of all the Military finally takes the time to speak to the parents of America's ONE and only POW for the first time? Couldn't have anything to do with him running for re-election, now could it? My brother lives in Idaho and Bowe's home state is up in arms about this phone call and it's timing. Obama has never campaigned in Idaho and probably never will.

Again, I am truly sorry for the loss of your nephew. I know how it feels and how no one really understands if they too have not lost a loved one at a young age. It's been over 40 years since my oldest brother was killed in Viet Nam and I still expect him to walk through the door at any minute and pat me on the butt and ask for a homemade peanut butter cookie. My niece is buried next to her grandfather with a headstone that says Semper Fi.

Bush, W, as a human being is a feeling man, I truly believe... but as a President he was a bit of a puppet to an entourage of individuals who used the war(s) in many ways unseemly and unwarranted and unnecessary and for personal gain... something I truly believe Obama would never do! If one chooses to close their eyes to that, it is unfortunate.

Anonymous said...

Obama started NO WAR. Fact. Love him or hate him, but Obama is the very beacon of forward thinking and working things out without violence, love him or hate him but that is the reality. He is a proponent of diplomacy above all else. He inherited war, we would all be wise to remember that. He must deal with the cards he was dealt, asking for advice from experts in both parties (which he is willing to do!); he must deal with the scope of the military issues he was handed in the way he and his cabinet feel appropriate. At least Obama is willing to listen.

@ 6:35 p.m. I agree with some of your points. I think Bush is a loving and caring son, husband and father. He should never have been elected president, face it, he's just not very smart. Cheney and Rumsfeld ran him and the two of them were really frightening.

I think G.W. was so relieved when he left office and has crawled in a comfy hole and keeps his mouth shut. He doesn't want to remind people of the mistakes he made. His lukewarm endorsement of Romney says a lot.

Now, heaven help us, Mitt will have Ryan by his side. If they are elected, the empty suit and his mouthpiece ,my nerves will need lots of valium.

This is a very lively discussion and in some ways a bit of truth peeks through the snarkiness. we need to get permission from Admin to let us rant on at least one thread from now to elections. Those not interested could just skip the thread. I'd like to hear more facts though, as in 7:08's comment. We don't just need mudslinging. She made me look up Obama's record of accomplishments and look up Romney's concrete plans for his presidency. Oddly he doesn't seem to have any, refuses to answer questions (sort of Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmannish) and considers his taxes and offshore accounts none of our business. And though he swears he was innocent of outsourcing jobs while with Bain and had split from them in 1999, in 2002 he was still major stockholder and CEO on their internal reports! See, a polical thread could be fun!
