I just listened again to ADAM's AOL Sessions...They are amazing...I think SONY would be smart to give ADAM a MILLION dollars for an hour SPECIAL on TV when he gets back from his international tour. The tv ratings would be huge and they would have networks in a bidding war to get the special...U.S. needs to hear his amazing voice and accept him. He is as beautiful on the inside as the out. I have listened to every interview radio and t.v. and he is such a wonderful, loving person. And a God given talent. We who love him want to share him.

How about Platinum in his BIRTH country? I think it's SO pathetic how ppl are so closed minded. But he filles in the definition of a Superstar. If you look at MJ and Maddona, they had More popularity around the world then at home. I grew up in Euope in the 80th and they were HOT!!! It's exactly what's happening to Adam.
We, the fans, have to support him here.
Go vote for him NOW on VH! top 20. REMEMBER!! VISIBILITY is the MOST important thing.

I am Canadian, and I am also teary. But its only the beginning fellow Canadians, this album will go triple-platinum in Canada, and Adam will be a loved and treasured performer for years to come in our country. I looked at a Sony site and apparently platinum in Canada is 80,000 copies - not - 1 mill - so, although this is good, don't get too excited, it's not like the US, I guess, I could be wrong???

ADAM is getting the same reception in the U.S. as ELVIS did in the 50's. DJs smashing his records on the air .. preachers on the pulpits telling parents that ELVIS was the DEVIL but they couldn't stop him .. country music SNUBBED him. ADAM is getting the same BS but it will change ... his FANS will see to it by buying everything ADAM & VOTING EVERYWHERE ADAM ... let's do it ADAM FANS!

AND, there is NO way that Platinum in Canada is 80.000. first, don't you think it has to at least be a ROUND number????
And anothere thing. Gold will have to be 40.000. That's sounds so wrong!!!

Great News!! The numbers are correct for Canada: Gold is 40,000; Platinum is 80,000; and Diamond is 800,000. But, you have to look at it from a population perspective. Canada's pop. is 34,034,000; whereas U.S.A. pop. is 308,871,000 so it makes sense that CA would not need to sell as many CDs to go platinum based on the pop. difference. Congratulations Adam!!!!!!!!!!

80,000 is Platinum in Canada. That's an excellent number that not too many artists reach since Canada has about 1/10 of the population in the US. Congrats to Adam and Sony. Great work. And Gold in the US isn't too shabby either. Adam will eventually go Platinum in the US as well. We just have to consider that Adam's album has been out less than 4 months!!! The sales he has had are astounding. Anxious to see his reception in the UK and Germany. Agree that he will make his main statement outside the US, and hopefully he will be more appreciated here as well.
