Adam Lambert strips down for 'Unplugged'
If you haven't caught any of Adam Lambert's "Unplugged" performance, we strongly encourage you to hop over to VH1.com, where they've posted several clips of performances ("Whataya Want From Me," "Music Again," "Down the Rabbit Hole," "Broken Open") and interviews with the season 8 runner-up.
The show was recorded in New York last month, and although from certain angles it looks like it could have been shot in a hotel room, it was apparently a decent-sized space. As the mechanics of a stripped-down, acoustic set were still being sorted out, Adam did have a few false starts, but he told us a few weeks later that it was all in the name of perfection. "I am a perfectionist, but not in a drama queen kind of way," he said. "It was more like I needed to make sure the sound was right."
And did he ever. Take away the pomp and circumstance (but keep the guyliner and finger-less gloves), and what's left is quite simply a beautiful voice. Check out "Mad World" below.

I would check them all out if I could, but I live in New Zealand and we are one of the countries VH1 won't allow us to see any of these clips. I am heartbroken along with Adam's fans from all over the world. Why do VH1 think they are so precious as to keep these clips away from his fans.
The audience looks unplugged too. I like it better when the audience isn't "chosen" because Adam has such a cool mix of fans older and younger . I prefer the screaming and the glitter. Adam and his band are exceptional though!!!! LOve them.
yah, it looked like the audience had been sedated how could anyone just sit there, without emotion with adam's beautiful performance or maybe as you said chosen audience and don't want to loose their compoures. i bet their feet were stumping like crazy
It's the ethos of Unplugged to be respectful and applaud after each song. I loved it. It's like a listening room attitude not a whoop-de-do type concert where the people are so loud you cannot hear the artist. I bet Adam and the musicans liked it because what singer doesn't want people to let them show their vocal talent without the jibber-jabbing noise? He sounded amazing.
Adam is So beautiful,
please go and see if you have not already
