Love the message of IIHY. Adam Lambert is one stylish, edgy, charismatic and talented performer. Not being asked to appear on the finale of American Idol was their loss. Can't wait for this video to come out; it should be lots of fun and get everybody out there dancing .

He wasn't asked to perform on the Idol finale this year and that is why he wasn't there? No wonder the show is tanking.

Now that Simon left AI, the show will be gone by 2012. Next year will be the last season, I bet.

I didn't even watch this year's AI.

Only past winners were asked to perform. If Adam had been there, it would have been all about him (which is always fine with me), but it was supposed to be about crowning the new winner. As it was, it seemed to be more about Simon leaving the show. Adam's presence would have dominated EVERYTHING.

Love IIHY. I'm dying waiting for the video. Too bad VH1 has removed WWFM from their vote selection on the Top 20 Countdown. Hopefully they'll put up IIHY as soon as it's out.

7:19 totally agree with you. Also lost their band director who is now with Leno. Adam raised expectations that will be hard to meet by any other contestant.

"Couldn't get a slot" OMG, what a cool guy. He turns a negative into a positive and makes FOX Idol look like idiots while smiling all the way.
No wonder Idol is losing ratings. Simon is jumping off a sinking ship. It was soooooo boring this year.

Oh yeah, Adam would have taken the limelight from everyone. He is so charismatic and talented--I'm sure there was some talk about him stealing all the attention, and you know he absolutely would.

Funny Adam Fix - I've often thought the same thing... but 'ya know, I don't think that's quite how it would work :)... I think one taste would never ever be enough - so it's almost safer to leave that "bag of chips" alone, ha ha.

Also, interesting that Adam chose those words "couldn't get a slot". Hhhmmm. I ALWAYS thought he wouldn't be on AI9 finale, because yes, I'm sure it was always the elephant in the room that he would inevitabley take away from the very purpose of the finale (if even in a good way, that his fans would have loved).

There were good moments in the Idol finale. Alice Cooper singing Schools Out, I liked that song when I was a kid, and Janet Jackson's Nasty Boys was good. It would have been pathetic if Adam would have been there again.

I am sure that the reason Adam was not asked to appear on the AI finale is because he would detract from the other performers and especially the two finalists. At least we had a chance to see him as a Mentor and then sing... lasers and all. Nothing can compare to the Season 8 finale with Adam and Kris singing "We are the Champions". They set the bar so high for a closing number that nothing in the future will ever equal or surpass that!!!

I love every second that someone can squeeze in just to talk with him..I love this song and I can't wait to see the video and how well he was able to capture that underground vibe that he speaks about.
