Pictures of this interview only! Video coming soon!

"We talked of all things Nashville, The Ryman, of course guyliner, his new tattoo he got in Atlanta, and we even busted out into some GaGa karaoke. Eventhough he was a little timid about singing."

Adam looks so cute and natural. Hope he's getting good reception in Nashville. There were some nasty comments in one paper there.

I try not to read anything when they write about his sexual orientation........

They just don't understand

Just glad Adam got a few days off and is having fun.

America is so behind with its views on GAYs, they should join us in Europe and accept GAYS, they are people too

Who cares about homophobe's opinion. Adam is all about positive energy. So should we!

His sweet smile never fail to brighten up my day. Adam, you're so much better than Xanax! :)

He is a natural gorgeous man. :D Love you Adam!

can't wait to see you in a few weeks!

I was concerned about Adam playing in Nasville. The country western community isn't very liberal as a whole and that area is home to a lot of religious fundamentalists that aren't that enlightened about the gay community and doubt if many even know any on a personal level. If anyone can charm and change perceptions just by being himself, it's Adam. He looks like he's having a good time and he'll blow the audience away.Love the smile!! Neil tweeted that he was going to play the piano in a honky tonk bar somewhere.Hope he didn't cause a riot! Can't wait for this interview! funbunn40

The ONLY thing anyone from Nashville could say anything about, is his version of Ring of Fire. There are a LOT of fundamental, hard-core country fans probably just waiting to pounce; not because he's gay (they have one out now too with Chely Wright), but because he dared to completely rework a country classic. But you know what? I don't even hear Cash's version in my head when I think of that song. It's Adam's sexy and sensual song now. I liked him on the show before he sang it, but at that moment, I completely fell in love with him and was Adam all the way to the bitter and unjust end. He is completely his own person who takes no prisoners. He has spurred my own self-confidence by watching how he has conducted himself in both his public and private life over the last year. He is winning over doubters everywhere he goes. Those of us that "get it" and love him will never waver. There is only one direction to go when talking about Adam and that's on his side. I have never heard of anyone jumping ship that was a true fan to begin with and that is how it should be. He doesn't need people who are constantly judging him and are fairweather friends. Keep rocking our socks off, Adam! I love it when you say "Ya'll".

I wondered where you were, justpeachy. Haven't seen postings lately. You are exactly right about Ring of Fire. I thought Randy Travis would faint when he saw Adam's version that is so brilliant! Just the thought of doing it that way, so sensual, took my breath away the first time I heard it. Poor Simon just didn't know what to say! I think Johnny Cash would have loved it. funbunn40

PS: Oh, what the hell, so... I HAVE A PICTURE WITH SWEET ADAM and everybody is going to believe it!! HA!

I truly think that June Cash would have loved Adam's version of Ring of Fire - she wrote it you know. I heard it over the years and never really got the sensual nature of HER words. Really,(not being a country music listener) I thought the song was about going to prison or something. Then.....ADAM.....OH YAH, now I get it and it was stunning, hotly romantic and unforgettable. Her words and meaning came through loud and clear and I think she, and Johnny, would have cheered at our lasting reaction to this beautiful rendition. As for those pictures above - GAWWWWD, I love his smile!!

(This is a repeat of a comment I put under the "Glamnation Tour in Knoxville, TN" section, but seems appropriate to say it again, here, since "Ring of Fire" - my favorite Adam song of ALL time - is being discussed here...)

When Adam sang "Ring of Fire" on AI, my brain just plain fell out of my head, and I've never recovered since. Oh well! I don't miss that ol' brain of mine. All that's left is the brain stem...which is only capable of raw emotional and anamalistic reactions, which explains why all I can think about, 24/7 (pun intended)is Adam, Adam, Adam!

SO very awesome and with this one I love how Adam really knows his voice and did not try to sing first thing in the morning, without warming up, etc.

Over the 4th of July weekend we had a family reunion of sorts - and my sister-in-law is a Country music fan, and she brought friends of hers who are HUGE long-time country music fans, their 20-something kids watch Idol so they were familiar Al & ROF, we got to talking, and they said that anyone who understands country music history would understand that Johnny Cash would have probably loved AL's rendition of ROF, but if not loved it, he certainly would have admired what Lambert did with it. Just passing that along.

^ MassGlamFan - that makes my day to hear your family say that about Adam's rendition of ROF! When I started reading your post, I got a sinking feeling...was expecting you to say they wrinkled their noses up and thought he butchered the original. What a happy surprise! Thanks for sharing. Your family's cool. :)

My hubby & I were 'die-hard' country music fans in the past ... especially hubby for Johnny Cash ... but neither of us like RoF ... too TexMex sounding for us ... so when ADAM did RoF on AI we BOTH were ABSOLUTELY astounded with his rendition & I thought his idol journey was over ..(LOL) ... Little did I know that it would BOOST his chances for longevity on the show & now it is EPIC ADAM!! AND ... Nashville LOVED it last night! Yay! ADAM!!

As tess4ADAM said, when Adam did ROF, my husband and I sat there stunned. I LOVED it (OMG!!! Phew!!!), but he was CONVINCED that Adam was toast and would be voted off that week! He even insisted that we start voting and he had never even considered that before! He is still SURE that is why he didn't win, not to get into THAT discussion.......he liked Adam's version but figured it was too "out there" for most people....And we aren't really even country music fans so didn't mind that he didn't really do "country" !!!.....It really showed us Adam's creative and rather fierce (and oh, yes, very sensual) side for the first time, and from then on we really knew how special he is. ....Was that defining moment in his Idol journey, and there was no turning back...Glad to hear that Nashville loved him!
