Adam is so loved down under.
Good on ya, Aussies!

As Paula A. had said many times, take it all in Adam. IMHO to be nominated by various award giving bodies is enough recognition already and winning is just icing on the cake. Now the world knows who you are Adam and i hope that gives the inspiration you need for your next projects. Good luck Adam.

Aussies thanks for the massive support for Adam. Sending love and light to the victims of the latest flooding that occurred the past few weeks. Hope that things are a lot better now.

Meanwhile, in the USA, I believe Adam has just been snubbed by GLAAD for its 2010 Media Awards. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but I did not see Adam's name on the list of nominees.

Let me see if I can get my mind around this: The 1st openly gay artist to ever be signed to a major record label (akin to Jacky Robinson being the 1st black baseball player ever signed to a major league team) was NOT nominated for GLAAD's top music artist for 2010. Plenty of people I have never heard of were, but not Adam.

No acknowledgement of FYE or of WWFM making Top 10 in 23 countries or of his sold out 110 + national and world Glam Nation Tour concerts or even of his Grammy nomination. No mention of how brave Adam was to perform a concert in Malaysia last October where people can be put in prison just for being gay, winning over 1000's of hearts and minds there--& changing attitudes all over the world re: gayness. No mention of Adam being considered one of the 10 most beautiful people in the world by China. He was also listed as one of the most beautiful people in People Magazine. No mention that he is one of the top 10 most Googled people or that he has 825,000+ followers on Twitter (way more than GLAAD has). No mention of his fabulous performance of WWFM on American Idol, one of the most viewed shows in the US.

No recognition for his Clean Water and Donorschoose charities. Has GLAAD even seen Adam's It Gets Better Vide--viewed by over 600,000? How much more positive visibility can one man provide in a single year for the gay community?!

What is wrong with GLAAD?! Not only should they acknowledge this once is a lifetime talent--a man who is loved all over the world--they should be defending Adam against any blacklisting that may be going on in the US media as a violation of his rights.

I find GLAAD to be a very disingenuous outfit.

God damn, you've got me all fired up, Kentucky Fan - because your post is SO freakin' good (and true)! Thanks for listing all the facts. I need to copy/save your post so I can read it over and over.

Kentucky Fan! You're all fired up and now after reading your spot on post re: Glaad, I am really disappointed in Glaad too! Are we sure, though, that all the nominations have been listed? 'Cause I thought I read somewhere it was not all finalized yet. Remember Adam's performance on Glaad last year? I didn't think they showed him much appreciation even then. I could be wrong or misreading it. If you are right, Kentucky Fan, then I'm seriously disgusted with them.

Adam Fix & CT Try searching Twitter for @GLAAD media awards for link to their list. They were up last night.

Yes, I'm all fired up starting with GLAAD last PM. And I'm so worried it's getting really late to announce Adam as a Grammy performer--especially for pulling a major Grammy act together. I remember video of Adam standing near stage at last year's Grammys looking up at the performers. I was wishing then that he were up on that stage as one of them.

Forget, GLAAD; I think Adam should be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize!

Can you hear those Drums & Bugles going off above my head?! LOL

and they gave entertainer of the year award to Lady GaGa who is about as gay as I am because they got more publicity that way.

@Kentucky fan, thanks for the update on GLAAD! Dont forget that after the AMAS, they supported ABC's decision to boycott Adam. Unbelievable?

WTG Adam. Love the Australians. Hope he wins. I too was a bit surprised when I saw the GLAAD award list and did not see Adam's name. Their loss.

@Kentucky Fan i can feel your pain with those observations about GLAAD. I'm not really sure what to think of it but do they resent his accomplishments? Well i hope not because that would reflect on them. Is it possible that GLAAD is playing it too safe and they don't want to be associated with Adam at all? Are they being pressured or something? Phew i'm clueless with their attitude towards Adam and really sad that they couldn't support one of their own, truly lamentable.

Still i'm hoping and praying that someday things will change for the better ;-)

Sorry, didn't understand what GLAAD awards you're talking about? Is it last year , when Lady GaGa got awards or Adam was snubbed by GLAAD for 2010 top10 best music videos (or single sorry, don't remeber exactly:(? Did they already been announced?
My laptop got virus and unfortunately can't vote for Australian Awards! Now I'am using my computer at work to read last news, vote for fuse and tweeter. When is the last day for Australian votes? Does anybody know?

GLAAD is an LGBT organization that is supposed to be a watch dog looking out for violations of gay rights in the media. They also give annual awards to those who advance gay rights and visibility in the media. I believe Adam was nominated for 2009 Best Music Artist last year, but Lady Gaga won. It seems to me the 1st Openly Gay Artist to ever sign on with a major record label who outsings anyone on the planet should have won over her. They should be PROUD of this young one. You know--like in Gay Pride?! He performed 2 songs at their awards show, to include Fever. It is on YouTube and one my absolute favorites. But the GLAAD audience was really strange. He had a hard time getting them moving.

The GLAAD award nominations just came out this week for 2010 and Adam appears on no list whatsoever. He did release an album this year: Adam Lambert Acoustic. Maybe it doesn't count. It should. Even got reviewed like regular album. And--it's gorgeous.

Good luck in Australia!

By the way, Adam (ADAM UNFBERT) is trending on Twitter today, in case any Twitterers want to join in. Some are linking to his water charity while they are at it.

Kentucky Fan, I really love your posts, even if they get me a bit upset. Adam said once that gay men love divas like Gaga, Rhianna and Beyonce. They want to se women performing. Perhaps that´s why they nominate and award Lady Gaga instead of one from their on community, even if he happens to be the greatest artist on this planet. How GLAAD could support ABCs boycott is beyond comprehension. Shame on them!
